60 of 78 · most liked firstit's a grind rpg dressed as a deckbuilder roguelite. All runs are pretty much the same, you just grind the same 6 enemies so you can die and level up / get better cards / upgrade your base cards and do it all over again. You never get good synergy decks, there's no decision making except dropping useless cards out of your deck before starting a run. The grind isn't particularly fun either Wouldn't recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As of launch , completed the game within the day PROS -Challenging -Good Music -Decent replay-ability with randomised items/mobs -Actual progression with equipment/spells , not just luck -Good mob variation / style so far CONS -Not enough content , finished less than 10hrs on launch[early access] -Not a strong variety in play-style -UI in shops and some cards are not correct/don't look correct -No movement option other than mouse -Movement between levels seems unnecessary / can be improved…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is satisfying, and I'm a big fan of this studio and all of its lore. But even for early access the game really doesn't last long. I beat it in 3.5 hours... That's not worth the money if you ask me. It would've been better off staying in open/closed alpha of some sort for a while longer. But that being said once the game will be complete I have no doubt it will be perfect. tldr: lacks content
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice graphic style, nice combat mechanics. I played the demo and immediately wished it and bought it as soon as it was released. I don't know the Wakfu universe, but I still enjoy the game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Expedition mode update: my save was gone, requiring going through the game again to unlock mode. Be aware, if you specifically want this mode, you will be beyond refund window before you ever see it. The first run on expedition mode shows some cards to draft that you can't choose because they aren't unlocked yet, seems an odd choice. Same thing with equipment... As this game has a road map and is getting updates, this game will be worth recommending eventually though I don't think it is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wanted to like this game, do like Wakfu/Dofus source material but.... It's just a pointless grind. No matter how good you build a deck or how good you do, you get stat-blocked by another area. Which wouldn't be that big of a deal if it didn't happen almost immediately upon starting the game. So the game devolves into grind > Get 5 encounters further > Grind > 5 encounters further > Repeate. And it's 100% irrelevant how good your luck, your deck, any of it is. You WILL be held back by stat…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know what the benefit is when it allows you to move around the place before entering the battle, there is no looting in the area or anything else, it just makes the transition from one round to another faster. There is no skip button in conversations or animations. The gameplay is frankly boring, there is no variety in enemies, you will do the same thing over and over again
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One More Gate is a beautiful game, full of popping colors, which Ankama is very well known for. If you're at all familiar with the other amazing games Ankama has created, you will be delighted as you run across many Krosmoz connections - enemy types, currencies, equipment, and statue gods - just to name a few. I logged almost 4 hours of gameplay here on Steam, but my first copy was purchased directly through Ankama, which I have logged my first 9-ish hours of game play. This game is in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is really grind heavy, there is very little enemy diversity, and every ability is the same but with 1 other thing added. Not to mention it doesn't use the Wakfu Ip very well, you do get references to other characters from time to time but it could honestly be something outside of the namesake considering the gameplay. Game did make me rewatch the show though, so thats something. edit, the game deleted my save so now I have to grind for all my abilities again. I'd imagine this as the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Slay the Spire from Temu. 📝 Main Pros, Cons, and Suggestions: 🟩 Pros: + After the initial hump, rewards were steady + Multiple build options thanks to varied card types + Equipment is an interesting addition, aiding in progression + Enemy designs and expressions are plenty, requiring alternate strategies to overcome + The animated backdrops and harmonious colour palettes create a pleasant atmosphere + Cat chest is a well designed risk-reward mechanism, however, the risk is hardly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WHAT IN THE DLC SCAM IS THIS??!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wish I could love that game. It's...not terrible but not good enough to justify its price. Only 3 "levels", too much grind, unskipable cutscenes, atrocious last boss and really weird mechanics (Who's responsible for the "Purity" status?) all together make the whole experience way more painful that it need to be. That being said, the game have great musics, amazing art and top notch animations. Good job on that front.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad balancing, bad progression systems, low build & encounter variety, disappointing all around
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →People are complain about it lacks content, but I think the problem is the progression. To be a "Rougelite" the improvements you get between games are too powerful. between a game and another you can almost do double damage and what's the joke? This is not a resource management game, it's a grinding game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The art and animation is pretty well done (though not a fan of the art style myself), but I sure hope there's a lot more work to be done on the flow of this one, because I haven't been as bored by a card game in ages. There's just so little here to make it interesting, and fights take far, far too long to finish, especially in the beginning. Also, don't be fooled how they overlay this huge sphere-grid-like map on the promo video, it's just the simple path you take through the 'dungeon'.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very fun, polished, complete deck builder with a unique mechanic that gives the game its own identity and is central to play. There is a ton of content, along with relics, cards, upgrades and even side quests. 5 distinct worlds I have encountered, each with its own NPCs, side quests and end bosses. The bosses and levels grow in difficulty at a perfect pace, resulting in multiple fails at each new world until the player upgrades more cards, or gets new cards and relics that help.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has an interesting take on this genre. And, there is an artistic appeal I appreciate. However, it gets old and boring really quickly. It is rather repetitive, and I became so bored after a few hours, that I could not be bothered to even finish the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an alright game made by a pretty small team set in the Wakfu/Dofus universe. The animations are quite cute and the style is overall pleasing. The gameplay itself is okay, maybe a little lackluster even in the mode that is supposed to have high replayability it just doesn't really because of how its tied to the progression system and how grindy that becomes it sort of actively discourages trying new builds. Interactions are pretty limited so the depth of the strategy layer isn't very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The developers know that Slay the Spire is a good game, but not WHY it is a good game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →why i have to walk in/out each area? why i cant skip animations? 15 mins i know it belongs to ea
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game so far! Big fan of roguelike card games and even more so of the Wakfu universe! The devs have done a great job so far even for early access. It looks like it gets much deeper after a few playthroughs, I now have access to edit my starting deck at 14 cards.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed the ending and the connections this game had with the Wakfu series (despite being subtle). The rift mode you unlock after beating the story is basically a roguelike card battler where your build changes every run if you want to. You go through 3 random maps (out of a pool of multiple maps). After you beat the boss of each of the 3 maps you unlock a rift difficulty and some rift fragments that you can use to buy cosmetics) The more you increase the rift number the harder the game gets…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun roguelike card game - Its more of an rpg, in the realms of leveling up and getting stronger. People saying theres no synergy with cards are dumb.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An enjoyable deck builder - with good meta (permanent progress) content. This is the big difference between Slay the Spire / Monster Train and many of the newer deck builders. The old type of deck builders you get levels and you earn disability as much as benefit from your games as new cards unlock because larger choice often means less chance for good combos of cards to happen. At least this has been my experience from playing many deck builders. This game - you get to build / choose your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, I love deck-building roguelites and the first two chapters in this one have been really fun. The rune pot is an underrated character, and probably my favorite.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game. Great animation and art with some new twists to the genre. This could be my new favorite card game next to Slay the Spire! Can't wait for more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Misread the title, not a Waifu Legend. My disappointment is immeasurable. Still a fun game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like Slay the Spire and Darkest dungeon, you will like this game ! I should be working, but I played all day instead, it's really adictive. Some combo are a little too much op for now (I tried it in early acess) but I'm sure they will correct it later. Great game 5/5.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One More Gate : A Wakfu Legend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is WINO - Wakfu in name only. None of what we have come to know and love introduced by the beloved cartoons, or the games which came out previously is here... They could have taken from the established games, like Dofus, or Wakfu and they would have been closer to the established world and different ways to use Wakfu. There is none of it here. I'm sad about the whole thing. I would have at least expected character classes, expressed as different decks to play, but there isn't even…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bit on the easy side for rouge like games. It gives ya a lot more customization then most I've played.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game like StS with some new mechanics! Fairly easy to get into! :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game, easy to learn. good gameplay, fresh artistic direction.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and Sweet. Good stuff!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I realy like it! Great Artwork and Gameplay. Well worth the money ;)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →金币用作永久强化还贵的要死,局内游戏提升几乎为0,玩了让人心烦,优化游戏体验前不会再玩。 Gold is expensive to die for permanent enhancement, and the in-game game boost is almost 0,monsters grow faster than player which is annoying to play, I won't play again until the game experience is optimized.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worth the money
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've noticed this game on Tacticon list, and since the beginning it looked good (on the stream). It gets even better: - Beautiful graphics/style - Funny enemies - Gorgeous animations (ultimate* skills are great looking) - Many cards (even at this state of the game) - Progression is also nicely done. You can buy more items relevant for different builds, buy new cards, upgrade them etc. The only flaws I've found are that I cannot rebind keybindings and some clunkiness when you interact with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great start! Looking forward to seeing how this game develops.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really nice game It is a mix between Slay the Spire and Hades well done. Sound is cool, art is cool, gameplay is cool
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just beat it loved it 10/10 would murder again friend sent me the game and after beating it i would have paid full price for it and i cant wait to see what new content comes in the future!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid gameplay, you will enjoy it if you like turned based strategy games such as Slay the spire or even Darkest Dungeon. Game can be done in like 6 hours, so it is hard to say anything about the game as in early access there is basically close to nothing to do. I still recommend this game, but buy it within a year or two, you will enjoy it. Pro's: - Nice visuals - Nice sounds effect - Animations are not clogging the gamplay - Strategies and mob behaviors are well thought Con's: - No…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game and fun to play. There is a bit of content there and it shows what can become of the game in future patches. Finished the game in about 7-8 hours while taking it slow. So everyone has to decide for him/herself if its worth it. For me it absolutely was! I hope the developer will keep up the good work and will give us a lot more to grind for. Looking forward towards the next patches.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are looking for a [url=store.steampowered.com/news/group/39049601/view/3208260558159850714]roguelite cardbattler than this is it! Some people complain about the grinding required to get to the next level, all true but - as far as I know - comes with the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After putting almost 300 hours in Fights in Tight Spaces wanted something a bit different. Still using Cards as a game play mechanic but instead of moving you're standing still beating the hell out of cute little animals just to fix a teleporter. 10/10 Would Punch Sheep again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Liked Slay the Spire? yea, you'll like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really solid game, I like the upgrades to the town from the initial test. I can't wait for what else the game has to offer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →amazing rouge like, i am having a blast with this game and cant wait for more updates! love the art style and the game mechanics, this game is like Hades and Slay The Spire were mashed into 1 game with new art style
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun with many play styles available. This is early access though and you will have around 7h of gameplay (around 20 runs maybe) before finishing the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice casual game, looking forward to new content
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →April 20th: "New major update" takers like an hour to unlock everything except character levels, obviously. I really wish this was less linear and had more options for runs/flexibility. Many things are still not defined and can be confusing especially if you haven't played in awhile. No glossary or help or anything which is quite lame. Poison is bugged now. ----------------------------------------------- So I beat and unlocked everything in around 6 hours. Initially I was very excited by the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very clean and promising! The AD is very pretty and well put forward. The special effects of spells and character animations are very cool too. The game mechanics are simple and clear to understand. The game is dynamic. Good surprises in perspective for this game can't wait for the following updates ! Even if you don't want to buy it right now, don't forget to put it in your wishlist ! ♥
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very peacefull and lovely one hand game, enjoy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Combat feels very good, the animations work well and its super pleasant to craft a smart combo The gameplay loop is quite satisfying for what i've seen, there's a nice feeling of progression in each run since you get to add/improve cards in between runs The game is also really pretty and i can't wait to know more about the characters and the story
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What do I really want in a deckbuilder? The ability... no, the requirement... to walk across an entire free movement screen instead of just clicking on an icon on the map. And then not even just going out an exit, but awkwardly trying to click on an arrow. With the icon that could just be on the map. Clearly, that's what I want. No.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I almost played this game when it released, and if I had, it would have been one of my first ever Roguelike and my very first Roguelike Deckbuilder. My review could have been positive then, but in the meantime, I played both Hades games, Slay the Spire 1, Sol Cesto, Froggy Hates Snow... so I actually have games to compare this one with. There are a few positive aspects: the decors, animations and sound design are pretty neat. It's an Ankama game so it is to be expected. And that's the reason…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One More Gate: A Wakfu Legend is a single-player roguelite deck-building game developed and published by Ankama Studio that expands the colorful and eccentric Wakfu universe into a tightly structured, strategy-driven experience built around repetition, mastery, and adaptation. From the very first run, the game establishes a familiar but confident loop: venture through procedurally generated regions, engage in turn-based card combat, make difficult choices at branching paths, and inevitably…
