positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very frustrating and hard but equally fun at the same time. this game feels like every fault is your own and most of the time the game can feel impossible but overcoming an enemy or a boss can feel very satisfying. 7/10

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Please remind yourself that this game is quite old and it is more for the "hardcore" audience apparently. Did I have fun? Yes. But there are some annoying parts that may p*ss you off. 1. Checkpoints not always where the bosses are. Having therefore longer runbacks with plattforming sections or difficult enemies. 2. The Save System. You lose everything you did when you don't save at a save point and die. There is no autosave mechanic. Even if you complete a chapter -> If you die first in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never played these games when they first came out, I have no nostalgia for it. I got to chapter 6 and it started to feel worse and worse as it went on. First off, the story is not great. Second, the controls and movement feel really janky, I can forgive it for as old as the game is. The combat did not feel terrible, i enjoyed fighting some enemies and the first few bosses. The thing that really started to kill this for me was when the game would hit me with a 5 second "now loading" pause in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Instead of buying this game save your money and just bang your head against a wall, it is the same experience and level of enjoyment. EDIT: After finishing the game i have to say... I was too kind with it, this is truly a piece of ♥♥♥♥, clanky ass, inconsistent ass game. EDIT 2: I finished the game on Master Ninja difficulty. I despise it, i hate this torture of a game with all my soul, i wish it became sentient so that i could use every torture device ever invented on this piece of ♥♥♥♥…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game deadass turned me into a man. Hard as hell but once you block and counter properly it turns into a power fantasy. R.i.p Tomonobu Itagaki
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only on sale because the Ninja Gaiden Sigma Black Master Mod is REQUIRED in order to restore the music, voices and much much more that was removed from this version.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →subtitle dummy data Download Ninja Gaiden Sigma Black - Master Mod on Nexusmods. If you see the cmd window open, don't freak out. It's just verifying everything installed correctly. Normal difficulty review with the mod: * Controls: There's no tutorial on the controls. The game drops into the action right away and you have to figure out the buttons yourself. XBone Controls: X - Fast attack Y - Heavy attack B - Ranged attack A - Jumps. Forward + A = Roll jump. Holding Y - Charges…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At some point an update removed controller support. Unless you want to use some kind of controller emulator, its completely unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My late uncle introduced me to this game on the PS3 back in 2012 when I was only 15 years old. Little did I know I was playing arguably the hardest game on that console. I platinum it in remembrance of my uncle. This game is can be so intense but so satisfying to learn. Combat has so much depth that every encounter can have a systematic approach to it. No matter how powerful you get in this game, if you can't master timing and positioning, the enemies will tear you apart. But when you master…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →three of the best hack-slash games of all time are in this package! almost anything is perfect about it except that the pc version of this or overall "NINJA GAIDEN Master Collection" has the worst settings for pc it dont even have graphic settings??and lets not ignore required controller they didnt even bother set up a new keys for pc so its worst for pc i recommand you play these games stand alone like ninja gaiden black instead of this garbage version these hidden gems.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WHy arent the controlls synchronized with the game its aggravating asf , despite the fact its remaster.. most lazy development ever
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What an impression this game made on me back when I was a mere lad in my early twenties -- wrestling with it on the original big brick Xbox, the mighty "Duke" of sixth-generation controllers barely caged by my respectable man-grip! The first 3D Gaiden was like nothing I'd ever seen -- but strangely, I haven't played any version of the game a minute since my console died a few years later, so I never looked into the supposedly superior Black release. (Things had recently gotten to the point…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Darksouls kinda wrecked alot of my favourite games from childhood because the combat was so polished and deliberate with fantastic hitboxes. This game didn't age well at all since then. The fixed camera angle in some spots. No lock on making melee strikes flail about randomly or missing enemies by a hair. Wall movement and movement in general is clunky. The game spams you with fast attacking enemies making retaliation basically impossible because all the enemies attack at different times…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is enjoyable and has a lot going for it, but the port is not the best, the game controls are awful and feel awful and the camera is some of the worst oat. If you can get used to all this there is still the fact that this game has one of if not the absolute worst introduction/tutorial for a game ever this game explains nothing and has so many core mechanics left to be figured out via you tube or elsewhere.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best hack'n'shashers out there. Can't go wrong with this game if you want a challenging and technical action game. Where the enemies are relentless and the bosses seem like cheats until you find a strategy that works against them. The game has a wide variety of weapons each with its strengths, weaknesses and utility. The simple act of attacking an enemy feels raw and satisfying. In other words if you like actions games like DMC, Bayonetta and God of War and look for a masterpiece…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have no nostalgia for this game, I don't think it has aged well. For an action game movement feels bad and the camera sucks. Maybe the combat gets better as you do but the initial jank is very off putting. The little story I've experienced is laughable. Maybe some people find the jank and goofiness endearing, I don't. edit: It's also a bad port, no display options and cutscenes are silent on steam deck.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ninja Gaiden Σ(Sigma) is a hack and slash game with a real challenge to those that actually play video-games. Not a lot of games will have me going "NOOOO!" as soon as I see a certain enemy type on a bike spawn in as a mini boss. I often found myself thinking the developers that made this were being real mean on purpose. Some of the save points will have enemies spawned in right when you load the game. The platforming will sometimes decide, "I'm going to wall run off the side of the cliff…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great collection of amazing character action games. While the PC port unfortunately doesn't have a ton of graphical settings to adjust, they're all pretty easy to run anyways given their age. So unless you're running a literal f**king toaster, you should be fine. Sigma 1 - Great game and not a bad version of NG1 at all. The worst imo is some aesthetic changes of some of the levels and some odd/different enemy encounter changes. Slightly different experience with some items being moved around…

Loading the game is a non optional boss.. I Never played this all the way through, was cool to play it all the way through. hero mode was fun, I didn't want to get good and just wanted to get through it. Cool to see it all the way to the end! Crazy this came out in 2004, the Rachel levels are a nice addition. PC port leaves a lot to be desired, but you can get…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels like it was designed by a 13 year old in all the best and worst ways. It can be a good time if you're willing to look for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NG1 Review (PSA: Played the Game Offline and when i went Online it reset my hours played) 1st time playing the NG Series 5/10 (90% of the Time the Real Boss fight is the Clunky Controls and the Camera) Pros: Racheal Boss Fights are Not bad Combat is Decent. Cons: The Controls are Clunky asf Platforming is Bad (Probs Due to the bad Controls) Mobs are probs one of the worst Designed BS i have seen in a Game, Almost every mob that hits you can send you flying 10 Feet..... No mouse and Keyboard…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ninja Gaiden Black is definitely one of the best games ever made. This is not that version. It has some changes and additions that mostly aren't that great. If you absolutely cannot or will not play NGB, play this I guess.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most painful fun you can have in a game, will change you as a gamer if you finish it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not for the faint of heart.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The classic!! Unlike Ninja Gaiden 2 I'd say this is pretty close to the best version of the og game, it's just so pretty and clean

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hack and slash game with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ follow-fixed camera and noticeable input delay are what make this entire trilogy hard. I regret buying this over doa5 tropical paradise 💔
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the game is quite fun at its core, the game (And the series as a whole) has the same standards as Serious Sam, that being "The rule of cool", which of course makes it lame as all hell because only a 4th grader would find nay of this even remotely "cool". That being said, NG Sigma is a slight improvement upon Black with the removal of puzzles... and that's truly about it. It almost has more issues due to the addition of the Rebecca levels and their very clear pointless inclusion beyond…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the Ninja Gaiden Black mod, as I heard Sigma reworks the game and makes it easier. As the game director Tomonobu Itagaki (rest in peace) said about Sigma, it was "no good," so the review will be about Ninja Gaiden Black, not Sigma. This game rocks. It's really fun, the gameplay is really good. It's one of the best hack-and-slash games I've played. The animations are smooth. The story at the end was a bit confusing, but I like it. I would rather have a game with really fun gameplay but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of those games where absolutely no one blames you for cheating. It´s hard as hell. But it´s also very appealing. Expect hordes of Skilled Enemies and very tricky Ninja Jump parts where you fall... and fall... and fall... and fall... and fall... and fall... and fall... and fall... and fall... Still... It shouldn´t stop you from playing. Skilled Ninja is successful and Great Entertained Ninja. Sloppy and untrained Ninja... is Dead Ninja...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →poor game design. Idk why they love putting platforming with the worst controls and camera. combat can click sometimes and feel satisfying but enemy placement and the amount of enemies with hyper armour, blocks and no telegeraph grabs is awful. you better stock up on healing tiems cus without them the games impossible. got trapped on the last level cus i spent all my currency to buy healing items on a character who's chapter lasted two seconds and wasted them all anyways in a fight you were…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am not a Ninja Gaiden veteran. The Master Collection is literally the first and only time I have experienced these games so far. This review is for players who, like me, are wondering whether the Master Collection is a good way to get into the series. In short, yes I think the Master Collection is an excellent entry point for new players... as long as you know what you're getting into. The Master Collection combines three games. Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →some guy on a motorcycle is more difficult than the final boss 10/10 would izuna drop a catwoman again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game being infuriatingly hard is both it's biggest strength and weakness. Firstly, this game's difficulty is very unique, the design philosophy behind the enemy design is something I really like, the enemies don't just stand around waiting for you to hit them, they actively aggress you and don't take turns, you have to learn the ropes if you want to even hope of getting anywhere in this game. Once you adapt to the mechanics, the game rewards you handsomely by really sick and satisfying…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →top 3 game on the og xbox!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NINJA GAIDEN has legacy, that will last generations. It's not NINJA GAIDEN.. if it's not Ryu Hayabusa! 20 years ago, the game flashed its way on original Xbox hardware and showed off insane graphics. I know here it's the Sigma version and there are critics of that. I say they are still playable and competent versions in my mind. Ninja Gaiden has the perfect entry way for a ninja video game. You get pinged by your ninja gf and it's your job to save the duty, protect the world, something like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not sure where to start with this one. I know my play time doesn't suggest someone who knows the series well, but I've played through all of the NG games since NG Black on the OG Xbox. Black, to this day, is my #1 favorite game I've ever played. The camera is the biggest drawback, let's get that out of the way. It's serviceable, but could be better. But the combat is top tier and has never been beaten by any other games than it's own series counterparts. The story in the NG series is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Writing this a few months after completing the game 1.5 times so hopefully I didn't miss anything. Note that you have to first beat it on 'Hard' in order to begin unlocking harder difficulties and that you cannot go up in difficulty once you begin, though if you die enough times the game will ask you if you want to make it easier by dropping to a lower one. AFAIK you cannot undo this later if you accept the offer so keep that in mind. Some things I liked: - Deep combat system for each…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend this game. Camera controls have sure come a long way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Sigma Black mod on Ninja Dog difficulty review] Stylish ninja action, the beginning of carnage. Do you have what it takes to slay the wicked and avenge your clan? Ninja Gaiden (2004) is an action-adventure game of the hack-and-slash subgenre developed by Team Ninja and Tomonobu Itagaki, releasing in around the same time period as Devil May Cry and God of War, part of a bevy of action titles that would go on to establish some keystone game tropes and gimmicks, not just for its own genre, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has ninja in the title yet it doesn't have any of the famous Ninjago characters like The Brown Ninja, Lloyd's mom, or even Bill. What a disgrace.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Aside from some regressions introduced in this sigma version of the game, this is the best action adventure game Ive ever played. The only point I can put against it is the story is pretty slap dash, but it evokes the right feelings. Simply, be prepared for the hardest game youve ever played, but in all the best ways.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Combat was fun. I thought most other aspects of the game were undercooked, the exploration, puzzle solving and platforming never really did anything crazy and from what I hear this is just a toned down version of a game that's only available on xbox but like, yeah its here I guess. It has a mission mode called "Ninja Trials" that has 50 different trials to do, and four difficulty options for each one, although the vast majority of them are just "kill every enemy" and nothing else. I kinda gave…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun but hard, there's some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ which you will remember for eternity but still I like this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was really wanting to like this but I don't (This is mostly a gripe of Ninja Gaiden though 2 is still inferior to the 360 release) This is an inferior version of Ninja Gaiden Black. The best version is Ninja Gaiden Black Itagaki's preferred version. This is not terrible or the worst but theres enough annoyances here that I cannot recommend. I never played sigma which was a ps3 exclusive but it feels they made it so they scrub Itagaki's name off of it. The changes appear right off the bat with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got my ass kicked in Normal mode. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although not Itagaki's original (or approved) vision of the first revival of the Ninja Gaiden series, this game is great. The gameplay is solid and rewarding, and while at first the game can be very difficult, if you actually choose to learn the mechanics (and do a little bit of grinding for healing items to tank tougher challenges) you will get through this game. Combat is tight and rewarding. Platforming challenges aren't super difficult but can occasionally come off as puzzles that feel good…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be honest, I'm very surprised that this game has the reviews above 'Mixed', let alone that they're 'Very positive'. The port is very basic. I think it is not even possible to use keyboard and mouse here. The graphics options are extremely limited. Moreover, on one of the survival trials I keep getting crash in almost always the same place. That's not a good port at all, barely bearable. But that wouldn't be that bothersome if the game was good, right? The thing is, it isn't. Very far from…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played mostly all ninja gaiden sigma versions, including ps3 and xbox. to be blunt, there is something really charming about the game, even i could not fathom it, but i keep playing the game over and over. i am trying to get all trophies in the game, but its quiet challenging. you have to be spaam ut allllot, which is ridiculous. And the enemies huuuuuuuuuh why military????. i wouldnt have minded fighting fiends all the game but team ninja must include cia or military in the game (…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have finished my 2nd overall playthrough of Ninja Gaiden Sigma... This is an amazing action game that still holds up incredibly well to this day! Unlike DMC which focuses on styles and combos, Ninja Gaiden is more about defense and strategic decision-making. Ninja Gaiden is definitely a hard game without a doubt in which enemies will give you absolutely no mercy, but it is also very fair in most regards, so it feels so good when you start improving in combat and landing UTs like it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Going back to Ninja Gaiden as part of the Master Collection was really interesting, especially seeing how such an amazing game at the time holds up now. The camera can feel dated and awkward, but once you get past that, the core of the game still shines. Boss battles are tough and memorable, often feeling impossible at first until you learn their patterns and improve your skills. The combat is where it really excels. Upgrading weapons, unlocking new abilities, using different armlets, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like stylish, freeform combo-based action like me, this game will likely frustrate you. Trying to play with combo variety will get you killed. You'll only survive by jumping incessantly and using the same downward strike to kill everything. This is really a shame because there are a lot of melee weapons to play with, each with their own set of attack chains.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hell nah im not playing that again Imagine a game that is painfully slow, has a little balance, has difficulty spikes (and I'm not talking about battles, it's about game design) and just as randomly punishes your failures (like teleporing you to Brazil save point after losing and making you wait for loadings). That's basically it. It's not difficult, it's stupid, going from "oh that's good" to "damn ima ragedrop it".
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not my type of the game, kinda hard to be honest. Gave up mid way, but i enjoyed it while it lasted.
