While I am a huge fan of elegant detective stories, I just could not overlook this game. I first played it my mobile phone several months ago, but it was also a great pleasure to repeat this breathtaking journey in Steam. Story and Characters The best thing about the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's hard to describe the gameplay, it's mostly reading but in each scene, you will have the option to examine the location for more clues or items for Miss Fisher's wardrobe - which are some of the achievements if you get them all. You also click on a choice of clues - choose two out of about a max of 10 to make deductions to move the story forward. The second case also introduces about 3 hidden object scenes which if you complete, it goes towards the clothing achievement but you can also…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Miss Fisher and the Deathly Maze is a captivating detective visual novel with Hidden Object Game elements. It is based on the hit TV show Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Initially I was very excited. I've read the first story in one go. I was totally glued. The mystery was so intriguing that I couldn't stop reading despite being very tired and sleepy. The same happened with the second story next day. They both are equally engaging. But right now I'm rather annoyed and, unfortunately, a bit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a fan of the series and started reading the books. I played the game on my mobile phone and had to buy it on steam, too. I really love it! It's not only for fans of Phryne, Jack and the whole world, it's for anyone! (but watch the series!) :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An average game, but for fans of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries TV show it is a must-have! Although there is NO voice acting in this game, it is very easy to imagine our favourite characters reading these lines. Pros: - The artwork is spot on and the characters are true to the tv show, even though they get less screentime in this game. - Simple linear storyline but the player chooses where to go, who to talk to, etc. - No punishments for wrong guesses in the "deduction" screen, and no wrong…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an episodic casual adventure based on the Miss Fischer books and TV show. If you are fan of either I really recommend picking this up as the mysteries here are very well told and it really captures the snappy spirit of the show. All art for all the major characters in the game are based on the actors who portray them in the TV show and it's quite well done. There isn't a lot of animation (Hey it's an $8 game) but each character has poses for different emotions that help convey their…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fine as far as visual novel mysteries go, but it's incomplete and will apparently never get the third episode to finish the story. So, not worth buying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For fans of the TV series, this carries the story on and keeps well to the feeling of the show. There is a lot of dialogue and reading. If you like to read and enjoy character development this is for you. If you generally skip dialogue boxes and don't care much about story, look elsewhere. There is some deduction but the overwhelming focus is on story. The artwork is good and the interface is mostly good. I enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Given that all you do is click the next button essentially it moves very slowly. If you are jonesing for another Miss Fisher mystery this is a good game. If you're looking for excitement or challenge or anything except a slow paced graphic novel, maybe just read a fanfic.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun advwenture based on the Miss Fisher show. Really captures the the feel of the show well and worth looking up for fans or newbies alike. Well worth the price of admission.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine you're a detective solving a murder case. You expect to gather pieces of case evidence, but instead you're collecting pieces of clothing to unlock new outfits for your female detective. What a joke. A detective's job is to crack cases, not curate a wardrobe. The game writing needs improvement. However, the biggest flaw is the mechanic requiring you to re-check spots you've already examined later with a different companion. It's completely unnecessary and feels like a cheap way for Dev…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Writing and art are excellent, and the game feels like a real Miss Fisher story. But this is an extremely poor mobile port. There's no graphic settings at all (not even a windowed mode or a resolution toggle), I ran into numerous bugs, no voice acting... the achievements are fine, as is the collection, but it's all very basic.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are a fan of Phryne Fisher through either the book series or the television series, you'll love this game. I have enjoyed the Australian made 'Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries' television series for years and I was delighted to get another chance to experience this world again, this time through a game. I'm not a huge fan of the visual novel genre, but this had a little more going for it having some point & click adventure game elements such as an inventory you can interact with and some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cannot recommend this dated and dull murder mystery. Controls are not friendly to the PC and the main point of the game seems more to be hunting for hidden dresses than solving anything. The deduce model is woefully underemployed and the lack of freedom is suffocating. The source material is a TV show which I hadn't heard of and therefore I can only conclude that this appeals to fans of that show. That being said I would have expected voice performances rather than the text (so hard to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A charming mystery game, maybe halfway between visual novel and point-and-click adventure, that captures the feel of the TV series very well. If you're familiar with the source material you'll probably know whether you want to play a game where you flirt with Jack and collect outfits for Phryne to wear. The game uses fairly limited animation, which is acceptable but can be slightly distracting when it's trying to convey different physical actions (look out for the endearingly shoddy way it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ll second this, though I haven’t read the books: I played the game! Miss Fisher and the Deathly Maze was pretty great. Fun character.
unlabelledView post →This game is a really faithful adaptation of the Miss Fisher series, and I love so much that it exists! Fans will appreciate the attention to detail, from the quirky animation of the opening jazz sequence to the witty repartee between the beloved characters. Being able to dress Miss Fisher (always divine in her 1920s get-ups) was an unexpected delight. For non-fans, this is also an enjoyable, low-stress adventure game with a compelling story and item-search elements. If a third season is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All I had to read was "Miss Fisher" and I was sold. Game is as charming as the show and the art is beautiful. Runs really well and I enjoy every moment. Really bummed there doesn't seem to be any movement on episode 3 though! (PLEASE GIVE ME MORE ADVENTURES!!!)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An enjoyable murder mystery game based on the popular TV series. There are two cases (one double-part case if you are pedantic) to work thru and a set of 36 achievements to complete. Question witnesses and search locations for clues/info, then put the pieces together. The game is well set out and looks really smart on screen. The only minor drawback was that the game seemed a little slow-paced at times. A real pity that Tin Man Games were unable to produce more titles in this series. Good vfm…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More of a visual novel than a true investigation challenging the player. This game probably doesn't offer that much to those who are unfamiliar with the source material, but for fans of Miss Fisher's it's a fun way to spend some more time with the characters from the TV show. Although the story isn't super exciting, the characters are faithful to the original and have quite a few witty lines (you get to flirt with Jack!) A fun way to spend an afternoon or two, but don't expect too much of it.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely love this! I'm a huge fan of the series and really enjoyed this game. There are only 2 episodes so far unfortunately, but if there were a crowd funding of some sort (patreon, kickstarter, etc), I would happily contribute to see more episodes. Character dialogue choices felt perfect and the use of music from the show had me immersed. 10/10 for me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I find it amazing that on Steam you can find such a variety of games. Miss Fisher and the Deathly Maze is a cosy little crime game with a very nice story and beautiful graphical expression true to the television series aesthetics. If you are a fan of Miss Fisher and crime novels like Agatha Christie, this game is for you. I hope there is another chapter of this coming along.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A friend of mine got the game for me because she knew I love the Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries series. I've not stopped thanking her yet. So far, I've not played more than episode one, but dear lord do I love it. It's beautifully made, for all that it's a fairly simple game, and the characterisations are spot on. The only thing that would've made me love it more, but which is sadly unlikely to happen, is if the actual actors from the show could have done some voiceacting. That said, it is a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went into this completely blind and good god this was horrible writing. Within the first minute of the game character names are just thrown at youň or I should say just names are thrown at you because these are not characters, they are not even 1 dimensional, they are negative 100 dimensional somehow. The game has the weirdest pace where plot is just skipped through but random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game just spends a weirdly long time on. There is this weird feeling where the game's writing feels like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has the worst interface of any visual novel I've ever played. Absolutely no sense of actually being in control of the game. When you click on the coloured words sometimes a little window pops up, other times... it doesn't. And why can't I see the entire scene to be examined at once instead of that horrible zoomed in view (probably because this was multi-platform... LOL)! And to top it off, the way any new text appears is very unappealing (even after turning the horrendous wavering effects…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classical who-done-it. Love the whole approach to this game, the idea's, and the era. Great time and very similar to Murder In The Alps. Full of suspense, with twists and turns around every corner. The changing of the clothes reminds me a lot of Mata Hari game. Good locations and scenery. Interesting story lines.

It's very casual, it's more a light visual novel, with some light hidden object…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Essie Davis is a stone cold fox in the TV version, but the visual novel format is a bit slow to maintain my interest.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →suuper nice game and tv series. great fun and nice graphics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A treat for series fans, and not a bad mystery game overall, if you can get over the atrocious engine. 6.5/10 First off, I must admit I'm a huge fan of Miss Fisher series, murder mysteries, and point&click games. So I'm the demographic bullseye here. But I was also very wary and prepared for a huge disappointment, a cheap cash-grab with no substance. Well, it's not as bad as all that. It still is a bit of a cash-grab, you can tell, especially with the game's terrible engine. It doesn't play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i loved the tv show and when i saw this game i had to buy it! and boy am i not dissapointed! it stays true to the show and the books, portraying the characters and the story and the style perfectly. 10/10 would recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poor graphics and animation, no voices, repetitive stuff, long to play; so many ''pick your choice'' with one choice available. I got it on sale and I regret it. Even for 2$, it was way too much.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh,NO! The game crashed twice! I had a great time playing Chapter 1. I would like to help you translate this game into Chinese so that more people can see it. What do you think?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, cannot wait for the next chapter
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the show Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (catch it on Netflix!), but even if I didn't know anything about the show, these game serve as delightful standalone adventures that are entertaining and exciting to play through!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Captures the spirit of the show perfectly. Lack of a chapter 3 is disappointing, though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has the vibes of a mobile look and find game, and less a puzzle or mystery game. That said, it's put together well with nice visuals. If you're looking for a mystery coated visual novel, you'll enjoy it. If you're looking for an actual mystery game, this isn't it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good foray into Miss Fisher's Universe and a solid adventure, I only wish they had more chapters especially at the given price point. Perhaps trying the phone version may be more enjoyable to some people, other than that it is a solid romp.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really charming cozy mystery, integrating the Miss Fisher characters with a new puzzle to solve. Challenging without being frustrating.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What I like about this game is that there are options to choose for different outcomes during the investigations.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun detective game! I love the outfits and the music.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved this game! Highly recommend to anyone who likes Nancy Drew -style mystery games. The outfits are a bonus. Wish we could get episode 3!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game, but there are some point, which disappointed me... But first things first: Let's start with the points, what I liked playing this game: - I have never heard about this TV series, but got curious about it. I will take a look on YT cause I want to get a link to the game. - I love the gameplay in episode 1 as in episode 2 as well: + Nice pictures (the "drawing" of the figures is nicely done), + nice art work and everything looks flawless, + nice music in the background, + nice menu,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly one of the best games I've played. I'm a huge story-rich nerd so this game gave me a pretty fun time. Although I have not read any of the novels, the TV series was one of my favorites to watch so the existence of this game gave me a huge serotonin boost. It's a point & click game so it's not very time sensitive; all of you who are anxiety prone can relax with this one. I'm definitely looking forward to future episodes if they ever add more!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed this game! It's very atmospheric, with wonderful soundtracks and illustrations. I kinda see how it's not for everyone since there is not so much active murder-solving. I felt more like a viewer than a player, but it didn't bother me at all because I was invested in the story. It's sad there will be no part 3, but I'm excited to watch the series now!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute, fun and true to the series and characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I always loved to watch Miss Fisher series. She is strong, has great personality, independent. Together with Dot, her assistant, they solve murders mysteries. This game could not be a greater adaptation of what the series is all about. This game is based on point-and-click adventures, a gameplay style that works really well with detective mysteries. Unfortunately, the game has only episodes I and II, that do not conclude the main story behind all cases. However, for those that likes detective…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In all seriousness, where's the next episode? :(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awww... only 2 episode? i want more. this story is interesting
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun Ace Attorney-style game based on the tv show. Pity the third episode was never made.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good for fans of the series.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautifully crafted, fun stories &sassy lady detective that we all love. Grat work by the developers - they really brought the character and and fun of the tv serise into this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TV show is good ---- this game is terrible!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As it says on the box, it's an interactive novel - in two parts. It cleverly uses material from the TV show and should appeal to fans. The story is well crafted and each of the two episodes is a good length. It was originally designed to have more episodes, however at the time of writing, funding hasn't eventuated. The two chapters that are available are sufficiently stand-alone that this shouldn't put people off. Along with reading the story and selecting dialogue options, you get to search…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great visual novel!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →From the very first second I had a Miss Fisher feeling. The music, the dialog and the art make you dive into your very own Miss Fisher adventure. The only thing I disliked is how much railroading it is. You hardly really make choices that matter and at times the riddles are simply too easy. You can expect more deduction skills of your faithful viewers :P
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoy the show you will no doubt love the game. It plays just like an eposide from the series and I cant wait for more adventures to be added. Loved every minute.
