WARNING! Due to the new Enigma DRM Capcom added the game now randomly crashes on Steam Deck, it's possible this could be happening on other PC's too. Do not buy until Capcom Fixes the DRM!

Adding an Anti Mod DRM that actively reduces the preformace of the game while rewarding those who pirate the game with a objectively better experience. Well done Capcom well done.

The game collection is good, but Capcom decided to retroactively update this game and several others with Enigma malware to stop people from modding their games. As far as I can tell, there is no noticeable performance hit on either the PC or the Steam Deck. That being said, it's extremely nasty of Capcom to do this. Until Capcom reverses their decision, I will leave my review as negative. If you haven't already bought the collection, I'd advise not to purchase them until Capcom reverses this…

I don't know why they decided to add dmr to a game that's 20+ years old. Also, Enigma DRM has made this game unplayable on Steam Deck. So you could have bought this, and now it's unplayable. I would prefer to buy remakes of games I like instead of pirating them, but the companies have to make a better user experience if you are paying for a good or service.

Capcom, once again, failing to fix a problem no one had by adding DRM to a game that's functionally older than most of the people that'll read this message. Enigma DRM is an embarrassing no-go and I'm not havin' it. Simple as.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! IT CONTAINS MALWARE! Thanks Capcom. All I ever wanted to do was enjoy a single play through of some of my favorite childhood games. I gave you my money and patronage, and instead of valuing your customers you decided to spit in all our faces. You installed Enigma on both games (Volume 1 and 2), a malware that was created by a shady Russian group! I know many gaming companies take their consumer base for granted these days, but this is the first time I have seen a company…

Capcom has added a new DRM to the majority of their PC titles called Enigma Engine. Not only does it break mod support in every game it's in, it is considered MALWARE by many big anti-virus companies. Imagine losing your mind like Capcom did over a Street Fighter 6 Chun Li Nude Mod and acting like ALL MODS are cheating. Nevermind the fact they're throwing away all their goodwill after 6 years and turning into their early 2000s/2010s self.

This review will remain negative until Capcom removes this mod-blocking, stutter inducing, performance degrading malware known as Engima Protector. Which they felt would be a smart idea to add post launch... Proof of this can be found on the internet archive and PC Gamer. GG Capcom, you've successfully walked back ALL goodwill you've earned since the RE2: Remake. I hope your investors are happy.

I got super hyped when the collection released but cannot afford the price back then So I patiently waited for a sale on it and saved some bucks, not the best sale but I really wanted to play it And here is my disappointment : 30 bucks for a version that I can run on an emulator... Really ? Plus the fact that Capcom add this shady Enigma DRM because of a mod on a street fighter tournament ? Really ?? Better to sailing the seas I guess... Glitched to heck and back. For example: - in 4, anywhere that has an animated translucent sprite will become almost completely cluttered in garbage sprites. This includes the tournaments and Castillo, two important parts of the game, as well as an area with several late-game cutscenes and the final cutscene. - also in 4, the menus have broken sprites and the BBS areas more so. - in 4 and 6, the two areas with staircases that collapse (SciLab and Sky Town respectively) have glitchy duplicates of…

One of my all time favorite series, however Capcom has made the decision to retroactively add Enigma DRM that broke mod support and has bricked steam decks from other people's experience. I love MMBN, but DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME Enigma DRM is MALWARE, several reputable Antivirus company's show keyloggers, trojans, etc. In their panic to remove moddabillity, Capcom has opened their consumers up to being maliciously attacked and their data stolen. When I bought this, I went into it expecting Denuvo to be removed, which it was, like most Capcom games. However, then they decided to add Enigma DRM after, which while not as bad as the "phone home" Denuvo, it apparently broke mod support (although a modder seems to have "fixed" it for this game at least) But I still can not give this a positive review until they remove Enigma. What comes after 1? 2. What comes after 3? 5. This is the second Battle Network Collection, containing Battle Network 5 and 6, with BN6 being considered one of the best, if not the best BN game. The games have had a face lift which not everyone liked, however it is trivial in the whole scheme of things, the characters in the world became more "chibi" compared to the style of BN1~3. Speaking of style, BN5 dropped the style system of BN2 and 3, and it introduced the Soul Unison system, instead…

Cleared each one like 3 times so bought it just for the sake of it. Pretty sure most others who bought this felt the same, so I'll just give it thumbs up. Never really completed it because 4-5 was too painful and 6 in English GBA version doesn't even have the full post-game, so took the chance to in Legacy, though with max buster. Compared to Legacy 1, ACDC is now re-skinned and plots become just a bit more connected to each other but also a bit disconnected to 1-3 in a way. There are bits of…

This collection is basically just easy access to the last three Battle Network games. You get all of the games and all of their versions without them being changed all that much. That means no new bugs, but also not really any improvements. There are smoother graphics and quality of life improvements like being able to access Japanese exclusive content in a new separate menu and being able instakill mobs for grinding, but those really are the biggest differences. This is just collection, not a…

The Volume 2 of the Legacy Collection certainly has the better side of Battle Network. QOL wise, the collection is pretty much identical as the Vol 1 but with the Patch cards for BN 4,5 and 6 that were previously only available with e-reader. Here is my review for each game of the Vol 2 MMBN4: The weakest entry of the volume but is overall fun, that said, if you want to truly 100% the game you might need to replay it various times which is understandably a nightmare. 6/10 MMBN5: This is…

I am a huge fan of the Mega Man Battle Network franchise. I was interested in this collection, but had initial hesitance due to the implementation of Denuvo. A friend of mine gifted both Volumes for me, but I was shocked that my low-end PC could not handle the collection at all. I understand the rest of the content made this far more optimized than it would...for other means, but this seems quite excessive for games that were barely 32-bit upon release. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 2 is a nostalgic yet impressively functional collection that brings the second half of Capcom’s cult-classic tactical RPG series into the modern era. Comprising Battle Network 4, 5, and 6—along with their various version splits like Red Sun/Blue Moon, Team Colonel/Team ProtoMan, and Cybeast Gregar/Falzar—this volume offers not only a huge amount of gameplay but also a comprehensive look at how the series matured, both mechanically and narratively.…

I really want to recommend this game, but Vol. 1 has better story, chips and post-game. The 4th game is atrocious,, because you have to play it 3 (sometimes even 4) times to get all the content while some content repeats 3 times. And because there are 2 version you have to play it 6-8 times. The 5th game is ok. The post-game is also fun. Patch cards, dark chips, even turn-based strategy/tactics gameplay(BN5), the culmination of everything that made the earlier games good amplified with new things to do and see. Follows a similar trajectory as the first trilogy, with a bad first game, good second game and amazing third. BN4: So bad it mortally wounded the series. Get the vgperson translation patch even if you're adamant about having the "original experience" because the original experience completely blows. The dark chip nonsense is pretty much pointless bloat, the typos and translation errors are much worse, the story is much worse written and contrived. Battle Network 4 is so undercooked you can still hear it squawking, Battle Network 5 is 4 refined, but it's still not very satisfying, and 6's biggest flaw is that it's too short, and you feel sad at the end because it's an amazing game and the last of its kind. But at the end of the day, it's Battle Network, and really, the opportunity to play the true version of 6 is worth it by itself. That, and they included all the event cards so you can stomp your…
