Also, THERE IS A DEMO, USE IT Despite the fact that I am overall going to be negative in this review, the devs have a demo that is there for you to try the game and that is worthy of some brownie points. Get a good feel for the game in that demo, because at the end of the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll be honest, this game being the new "next gen" tennis game gives me all kinds of different taste. For one. I would say is better than AO Tennis, and better than Tennis World Tour, but at the same time, the game is average at best. Why the hell, making a great tennis game is so dang hard? for starters, the gameplay is decent. No perfect, farrrr from perfect or good, but its decent. The roster is very small. Huge thumbs down for that. No commentators and zero audience. This game is the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Matchpoint Tennis Championships knows how to do things well, such as the natural controls and a certain level of realism. Check out my first online games here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2desoMUfyo In the end, the game isn't that hard to master through the tutorial, where you learn how to time the shots and determine the power and most importantly, how to land the ball inside the lines. In addition to the basic tutorials, you can also immerse yourself in a few extra lessons on a free…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not really interested in playing against other players and can't comment on that mode. I was looking for a decent career mode and Matchpoint greatly disappoints here, sadly. All aspects of the career mode are rudimentary at best. The only way to really improve your player are two gear slots and a coach slot, all of wich give some attribute points. There is no way to properly train, because training sessions and matches/tournaments lock each other out in the calendar. So you have to choose…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The physics of the game, the movements of the players are well achieved. Everything else could, and should, be much better. Character customization is very limited. In the distance, the graphics look very good, but when players are shown in closed up, they are weird. The audio is not good: the sound of the audience is closer to a group of friends clapping at a birthday party than a stadium that vibrates with each point. There are some real players, but not many. Garbiñe Muguruza, Casper Ruud,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horribly clunky mechanics and movement, too easy to beat far better players with tactics, very underwhelming character development and variables/metrics.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great gameplay, but not much else. Needs a decent career mode and more customization.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is dead and looks half complete anyway
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend this game simply because despite some flaws, I really enjoy playing it online and offline. With patches for the flaws, it will be one of the best.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First off the game looks great the U.I is clean and easy to read and go through How ever going back to Top Spin 4 a game released back in 2011 has much better player animation from FH to BH and Slice the players doing feel and react like a robot, and change there movement depending on a high or low ball, short in the court ect. Matchpoint - Tennis Championships. players all move the same for animation for FH to BH and Slice the hit ball feels the same on all players, there is no…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I also have Full Ace Tennis Simulator, Tennis Elbow 4, AO Tennis 2, and World Tennis Tour 2. Out of all these only 2 stand out for me and that is Matchpoint Tennis and Full Ace Tennis Simulator. The game play is good in both but Full Ace Tennis Simulator seems to lack polish in the interface and menus. Matchpoint seems more refined but needs to add more features and player. If I was to recommend these titles it would be in this order : 1) Matchpoint Tennis 2) Full Ace Tennis Simulator (only…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best Tennis game of 2022, lots of players and not too hard to play , but hard to play well.....controls take a bit of time to get used to, hope that future updates fix some minor visual bugs...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's got the feeling of tennis right but everything else is a little empty, from roster to courts / ambiance to game modes. Good enough for an unaggressive, uncomplicated quick fix of tennis but doesn't offer more beyond a few hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately we don't have a tennis game to meet the demands of 2023 going in to 2024 this game has no life it's repetitive and boring no challenge even on the hardest difficulty I win 6-0 6-0 it's a shame because millions of fans love tennis.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To sum this game up, I just won the AO, and nothing happened.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The fps on the aiming circle online is capped compared to offline which makes it completely unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well I have to say Tennis is not a game that I would normally go for but - this is really good fun!!! Good at rallies but terrible at getting points - which makes me laugh at how BAD I am. Still chuffed to bits that I actually won one set and that was after playing for about 10 minutes. Good fun - totally different from my usual crop of games. Graphics are really good - dynamics and physics are excellent, with very smooth gameplay. Good audio that gives you a nice ambience for the setting.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, this is my favorite tennis game I have ever played. As someone who last played tennis in high school I was looking to scratch an itch, and I achieved that. If you want to play a tennis game and don't want much content, this is the game for you. Now, if you want Nadal, Federer, Kournikova ect... you will be disappointed. The reason I started to write this review is because I was super mad when I was 6 to 6 in the second set and made it to 17 to 10 before I realized there definitely…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First tennis game in a long long while with viable and well thought about mechanics in online gameplay! It could improve on this mechanics a lot more, so u can have really differnt feeling with different type of tennis players, like serve volley or guys with just an insane forehand. Walking around backhand to forehand should be a thing too btw, thats just awsome and opens up the court and gameplay potential even a lot more. But all in all, its already great fun. Keep up the good work and please…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the graphics, controls and general game play. BUT, even on the lowest difficulty setting (amateur), I cannot win a game, let alone a match. I just keep getting my ass kicked no matter what I try to do. And the AI seems to be biased towards your opponent every time, counting clear out of bounds balls as in, while giving you no breaks. I know it can't be all my poor play. Devs need to adjust the difficulty settings to give players (new, especially) a fair chance. Then I could…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good tennis game but the problem with it just the gameplay is too fast and simplified that I having too much fun playing and there is friend match with single mode only sadly. On court, the ball feel like a canon ball which sometimes make the player run at the back of court without ever knowing and the game is heavily controlled assisted like every shot must controlled precisely or you would get an out repeatedly mostly everytime and the movements too is heavily assisted like if I wanted to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like tennis, and i enjoyed the game, for a while. Graphics is good, sound ok. The ting that made me uninstall was the repetition. The matches became boring and easy to win. The reward system with gear and boosts doesnt really apeal me. All i have to do is follow the same tactic every time, and i win the match.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although Matchpoint tennis has some flaws, it’s still the best tennis game that I’ve ever played. (I play on a Windows pc). There’s a learning curve with the controller but once mastered, the game is on. I’ve had incredible rallies that got my heart rate going. In fact, I consider a three set match a workout. I hope there will continue to be software updates to make the game even better. Also, I’m hoping for more online players, they're hard to find at this time. I’m ready for the challenge.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I were better at aiming while moving, using the same stick, I would be better at this game. It looks good and sounds pretty good. As pointed out by other reviewers, the commentators are pretty poor and the roster of famous tennis players is very lacking. I managed to win one game out of 19 games I played but other reviewers are suggesting that it is easy to cheese the AI. It seems a little pricey given the limited amount of recognizable names. Download the demo if you want to play it before…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is okay and I would recommend it for some casual fun (despite Kyrgios's face on the cover...). On the positive side, it offers realistic gameplay and is compatible with the Steam Deck. However, there are significant areas for improvement, particularly in graphics and content. As noted by others, the game feels somewhat simplistic and lacks depth. To put it into perspective, AO Tennis 2, released two years earlier, provides a more comprehensive experience with features like the ability…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game, have dual monitor setup, and cannot choose ingame the monitor i want to play. Have to disable second monitor.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game, it grows with you. It's not too difficult to master the controls and the more you play the more confidently you can make the shots. I find myself coming back to this even title when I intend to play something else. When a game grabs you like that, it can't be bad can it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had never played such a mediocre game. I really feel like I got scammed. You should make a public apology for this. fu Kalypso and fu Torus
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok. I played for a few hours at a friend's and decided to buy this game for myself. Gameplay is very good (needs some balance though). The animation, movement, and game mechanics (advantages and disadvantages feature! :)) are great and have a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the career mode and character customization are poor, not enough options (we need more!!!). I also noticed that the level of players in career mode does not matter - I am counting on fixes in this aspect. The game is very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Things are missing which are not TENNIS in TENNIS game but part of TENNIS. Core Gameplay is SOLID. Graphics are pretty good. But other features are either not available or very limited. My Gameplay - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvhOeJ4gEQk
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Fun for casual tennis fans, but lacks depth over time“ I picked this up because I’ve always loved playing tennis in real life, and figured I’d give it a shot virtually. Gotta say—‘Matchpoint - Tennis Championships’ does a pretty decent job of capturing the feel of the sport in a simple, accessible way. The controls are super easy to learn, which makes it great even if you don’t really know much about tennis. You won’t be overwhelmed by complicated mechanics or button combos—just pick it up…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes, I would like to recommend Matchpoint - Tennis Championships for everyone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not a single positive here, please put sega superstar tennis on steam so i dont have to try this stuff anymore
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just want to play tennis and do the things I like in tennis. Good enough for me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →best gameplay, mix arcade and sim.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Realistic tennis game that brings me back to the days of Pete Sampras Tennis on Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. Career mode is fun and looks like it will be hours of entertainment.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →when will the update come out guys? The game is promising but a year has already passed and no changes. There are 10 people online. Match search takes 5 minutes. Make a great game. Otherwise it's not serious)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game provides a lot of fun play. The game is mostly an accurate game of tennis but it lacks polish and extras.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good tennis sim. The decision-making, risk management and strategies of real tennis are well reflected in the game. In online PvP - where the aim marker is disabled - you also need to develop a "feel" for good shot placement
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worst tennis game I have ever played. In the tutorial, training and exhibition games it seems so easy to either serve or return shots. Yet when I play in a tournament I am some how unable to hit a ball which is not out. I don't understand why the same moves work in other aspects but somehow my targeting ability is so awful in the tournament?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As my first tennis game, I like it a lot. I hear a lot of people are talking about what could/should be but the core gameplay is there, and is a lot of fun. Especially with the recent "remove aim marker from multiplayer competitive" update. Less meta pot shots and more actual back and forth. But character customization is lacking, event variety and practice modes are lacking IMO. Its a diamond in the rough. If youve got low expectations this may as well fill them, but if youre looking an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i would recommend this game more if there was the ability to change the ball size or color. it is very hard to see the ball on the grass courts.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is ok, my biggest gripe is the movement can be stiff. You can hit the ball, wait for your character's animation to end, but instead of the game letting you move where you want to go before your opponent hits it, your character will slowly scoot to the side instead of being able to run to a spot and then react. So if the opponent serves the ball to the side of the court, you'll hit it, and instead of being able to run center court to be able to position yourself, the character will…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels alright to play, and the focus on the online component is great with both ranked and multiplatform matchmaking But otherwise this is some suuuuuper boring tennis. *The players on the court don't really get emotional or animated (Nick Kyrgios is on the box so this is a massive red flag) *The line judges were so quiet I didn't think they had voice files, players also barely make a sound *There's no celebrations after winning...anything *There's no stat screen, after-match report, on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, would be much better if Devs released a road map. Also doubles needs to be added in an update. Please add doubles as it's so much with friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have you ever wanted to become a tennis star without all the running around, sweating and arthritis?? Then look no further!!! MATCHPOINT is well designed, has incredible physics, amazing sound, and the controls are perfect. I am enjoying the career mode and just won my first tournament. I haven't played online yet, so this review is single player review only. But even if you don't want to PVP I think you will get your monies worth with this game. Thanks Kalypso for taking the time to make…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Matchpoint - Tennis Championships is a grounded and methodical tennis simulation that prioritizes on-court decision-making and positional play over flashy presentation or arcade excess. Developed by Torus Games and published by Kalypso Media, the game aims to carve out a middle ground between accessibility and realism, offering an experience that rewards patience, timing, and tactical awareness. Rather than attempting to overwhelm players with spectacle, it focuses on replicating the rhythm,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the best tennis video game in the world
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very realistic.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool idea, though I had 2 BSOD within around an hour of play. The graphics need improvements, big time. My 1660Ti should be more than enough to drive thw game at max settings, but the it looks like it was 10 years old. The mechanics are nice, perhaps the best tennis game that I've seen But yeah the instability killed it for me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some feedback for the developer. The ball boys/girls, venues, crowds, clothes and a lot of things are just not accurate. Customisation of players is very poor and didnt look real. The game was just average too. If you improve the feel and realism of the game and game play i may give it another go and change the review.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth 40 euros, but it's pretty good compared to other tennis games since you can have pretty fun and semi-realistic rallies. However, due to the game's mechanics I have found an exploit that you can basically win 100% of the time when serving and when receiving, and I'm not telling anyone the method because I want to keep the exploit to myself. It's pretty game breaking if you find do this though and you're pretty much unbeatable unless you double-fault or something when serving. Stay…
