Only note: Elle being a decade-ish older than her character makes the initial grooming relationship look less visably messed-up

positive · AI labelView post →Margo's Got Money Troubles brought me so much joy in its first season, truly so warm and funny and stylish. Also, they did NOT need to make Nick Offerman simultaneously THIS hot and cute, it's absolutely criminal, omg. 🥵

neutral · AI labelView post →Season 1 Margo's Got Money Troubles Apple TV. Is anyone here watching the show? They are through six episodes and it's a pretty amusing and compelling little show. Nick Offerman continues to show his talent and range post Parks and Rec, Michelle Pfeiffer is back and looks better than ever at 67, and Elle Fanning continues to show she's one of the finest young actresses working.
positive · AI labelView post →Speaking of TV, it's not how it's being advertised, but Margo's Got Money Troubles contains a performance from Nick Offerman that is so good, so sad and charismatic and soulful, it really makes the show worth watching all on its own.
positive · AI labelView post →Margo's Got Money Troubles will make a lot of best-of lists, and while that show is not for me I'm not going to complain, because if that show *is* for you? BOY is it for you. That is like, maximum for-you-ness.

I literally have MARGO'S GOT MONEY TROUBLES out of the library now, I was gonna watch the show, but I'm so tired of "I thought about abortion but decided against it for reasons that make it clear that the author was just grossed out by the idea/wanted to base the plot on an unplanned pregnancy
negative · AI labelView post →We made fun of Apple TV at the time with their initial salvo of Ted Lasso and The Morning Show but I think they now maybe have the best lineup of streaming TV shows. Pluribus, Widow's Bay, Your Friends and Neighbors, Margo's Got Money Troubles are all very well done I'd say HBO quality shows.
positive · AI labelView post →Chris Jericho looks to be returning to a wrestling ring in the upcoming Apple TV series 'Margo's Got Money Troubles' which premieres on April 15. Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Nick Offerman and Michelle Pfeiffer are among those who will star in the show. (ELLE)

neutral · AI labelView post →An Apple TV sister show to Widow's Bay, Margo's Got Money Troubles displays neither an ability to properly balance humor and drama nor much more than a mild interest in making viewers laugh. I know this kind of show is for someone, and w its cast/premise I'm almost one of them, but it's not for me.
negative · AI labelView post →Margo's Got Money Troubles is a powerhouse show with amazing performances, but if nothing else it made me realize that... I would be SO into a show with Nick Offerman just walking around explaining things to a baby.
positive · AI labelView post →Watching 'Margo's Got Money Troubles' and really am amazed at the Nick Offerman beard/no beard time continuum. The man can have no beard in one show and then suddenly in a show airing a few weeks later he's got a bear strapped to his face.
