Created by Sophie Goodhart
Alice is devastated when her best friend Steve starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy. She's going to lose her best friend and her daughter in one fell swoop. Alice tries everything she can to end the relationship. Unfortunately for her, Steve's more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship, devolves into an all-out feud. neutral · AI labelView post →"Alice and Steve" is just about the best show I've watched in a decade.
positive · AI labelView post →The premise of #AliceAndSteve is, to say the least, com-pli-ca-ted. Therein lies the challenge with watching its comedy and drama: how to not make it cringe-worthy or icky. That’s not easy, but they pull it off completely. Jermaine Clement and Nicola Walker (who I have loved since “Spooks”) are giving performances that should win all the BAFTAs & EMMYs. I can’t wait for Series II. There will be a Series II, right? Very highly recommended. ★★★★★ #reviews #CineMastodon #TV #DisneyPlus #Hulu

positive · AI labelView post →I rarely bash entertainment on social media, but I don’t think I have ever hated a show as much as “Alice and Steve”. I feel the need to bleach my brain of 3 of the most toxic characters ever written. Only Joel Fry’s character is at all redeemable. Also, not a comedy, it’s a melodrama at best.
negative · AI labelView post →Alice and Steve was a good series. Jermaine Clement is great in everything. Not sure about the final 10 minutes though 😏

positive · AI labelView post →“Alice and Steve” has gotten great reviews and I thought it was going to be a bit.. icky.. but that’s not my problem with watching it: it’s just waaaay too cringy for me. It’s a good show and I’m impressed with the knife-edge balancing act (and all the actors are great), but it’s just too cringy.
