THE GAME DOES NOT WORK BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO DISABLE THEIR OWN ANTI-PIRACY MEASURE. They know this. They don't care. They keep selling this broken product. NEVER SUPPORT THIS TRASH COMPANY EVER AGAIN! If I'm ever playing another of their games, I'll be sure to return the favor and not pay for it.

unlabelledView post →Great game, but the port doesn't work. Rockstar didn't disable the antipiracy measures for this version, meaning it's completely unplayable. Once you get to the gate at the first stage it won't open. There's a manhunt fixer that can make the port playable but I don't got time to install that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Rockstar should've just fixed their ♥♥♥♥♥♥' port.

They include a pirated exe in their own first-party release, which then makes the game unplayable due to their own piracy measure they forgot to disable. Charging money for a non-functional product is literally the definition of a scam. Do not buy this, pirate it instead or use Manhunt Fixer.

Not because of the graphic content, but because Cockstar released a PAID STEAM COPY of this game that's unplayable due to anti-piracy measures! Edit: Even if you get this game working (use ManhuntFixer) the gameplay is the epitome of mid. Clunky, slow, boring, repetitive, with the least challenging enemies in any stealth game I've played. Yeah the aesthetic is cool, but the game itself is the epitome of mediocrity.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →With the Manhunt fixer from github, you can make the steam version be the best out of any platform, i think it's hilarious that rockstar is selling a badly cracked version of the game but it's worth buying on sale for the convenience of having it on steam alone. As for the game itself it really holds up well, amazing atmosphere, made back when Rockstar was obsessed with "The Warriors" and you can tell from the art direction and bits of the OST, gemmy game.

The antipiracy measures were not disabled, so there's a softlock just a few minutes into the first stage. Using a patch, it's possible to get past this, but the enemy AI glitches out horribly, to the point of the game losing all it's charm and tension. Don't waste your money on this port.

I wish there were more games like this, with such a tense, disturbing atmosphere that feels like a VHS-era extreme cinema. It would unironically be easier and morally better to just pirate or emulate it. No like seriously just go download RPCSX2, and a copy of it from like Vimm's lair and play it on a virtual PS2 emulator. It would take all of 3 minutes, compared to the hours of work and headaches it takes to get this to run.

When I bought the game I tried to run it vanilla and it crashed on the first mission. I checked around the community hub and saw that there was a recommended fixer called "ermaccer / Manhun.Fixer". If you're a new player, run the Manhunt fixer by ermaccer (don't tick any boxes, just click patch), then extract the entire RTX remix mod folder inside the the Manhunt folder (where the .exe is located) and voila, you have a perfectly playable Manhunt game with all bug fixes, AI fixed, 60 FPS patch, that looks gorgeous with path tracing and plays unbelievably well with zero stutters and constant 60 FPS in 4k.
