positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Luxor, in general, is a nice game, back in the days it was one of the best time-wasters, but personally, I prefer Zuma or Atlantis any time any day soooo.... ANYWAY - best part of this game is that HD remake works in 2018 while OLD Luxor 3 simply doesn't work me. It's a good time waster but for the current year, price tag and offered functionality (no steam achievements, lack of in-game diversity) I don't want to recommend this game, especially if you take into account that old games being…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A trail of different coloured balls are pushed along a track by a beetle, and using a launcher, you must fire a randomly coloured ball into the trail, being careful to place it next to a ball of the same colour. When at least three collide with one another they'll be eliminated. Eliminate all balls (which destroys the beetle) before the trail reaches the end of the track to pass to the next stage. Everything starts off sedately enough as the convoy makes its way slowly along some fairly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shooting balls but in HD!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game. It focuses on dexterity, anticipation, fast thinking and fast reaction times especially during the later levels. The gameplay is simple, since it's a match-at-least-three-of-the-same-colour type of game, but it adds various boost items that make you change your gameplay accordingly and this adds diversity to something that could very easily get boring otherwise. The music is nice and it contributes to the atmosphere. The graphics are nice as well. All in all I recommend it. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →to anyone concerned if this will run on windows 10, yes it will. the original luxor does not, but the hd version does run properly. i've had a couple crashes opening the game, but never any problems while playing the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is shiny, but 100% bad design in every other aspect - I loved Zuma, played for many hours (before Steam), this one is so annoying that I want to uninstall before completing it once. This game is best enjoyed if you don't want to complete it, but play the first few levels (6-8). At that point you have 18-20 lives and a lot of suffering ahead. You can get through with 25-30% points earned (all gems wasted), but there is no sense of accomplishment, unlike in Zuma, where you build gaps,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Luxor HD is a marble-shooter game in which a trail of coloured balls is pushed along a track, and you need to shoot corresponding coloured balls into the trail to match them and break the trail. Pros: -Simple, relaxing gameplay. Great game just to play as a no-brainer. -Controls feel fluid and responsive. -Backgrounds and theme of game is intruiging. Cons: -The price of R109 (~$10) feels a bit too much for this type of game. -No trading cards or steam achievements. Overall, this is a great…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's still Luxor. Sometimes the UI doesn't seem to be designed for windowed mode, I occasionally get an overhang of half a bubble saying "<Achievement Name>". That's my most major gripe, so if that's a dealbreaker, please avoid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THIS GAME HAS COLOURFUL BALLS!!!!!!!! MASTERPIECE!!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A modern take on the classics arkanoid and centipede, if they had a baby together, ... yes, I'm old. Shooting balls at a moving train to "match 3" before the train grows too large and reaches the end. It's exactly like Zuma's Revenge, but with ancient Egypt backdrop. The game is simple, nicely presented and held my attention longer than Zuma did. It's simply a casual time sink, with no bells or whistles. Worth trying if you like classic arcade, or casual games, but it didn't hold any long term…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looks all fun and colors, but near the end it's getting 'tough as nails' impossible! Whoever is bragging about 100% completing Dark Souls or something similarly hard, I dare you to go and complete the original trilogy of Luxor series!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zuma got me here. I wanted to get this due to the similar gameplays.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice match 3 game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been playing for 3 hours since I picked it up today. This, along with the rest of the Luxor trilogy, is the best childhood games I have ever played as a kid. I didn't know if they were available on Steam until I looked. My mother and grandfather (who are no longer around) also used to play these games a lot as well, which is how I got into it at the age of 7. Really missed playing these games with them :) Runs very well on Windows 11 with modern graphics cards and CPUs (currently using a RTX…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Entertaining. A simple Match 3 game with a nice level design. It can get intensive. No bugs or crashes. Runs fine on Win 7. A casual game with nice looking graphics and sounds. You can spend hours without noticing it. That's a good game to me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Add Steam Achievements, then we can talk. Otherwise, super good game. One of the first PC games I played when I was a kid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game. Simple.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and relaxing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are a few newer Luxor-games, but I didn't like them. This one is very good though.

The original copies of Luxor notoriously have issues playing on modern operating systems, the HD versions don't suffer from these issues and are essentially the exact same game, minus some obvious visual/display improvements As for gameplay, it's the original Luxor, if you've played Zuma then you'll know the gameplay, match 3 and watch the trail of balls get pushed back if there's a gap between two…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun matching game. Not worth 10 bucks though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Never looked that great, repeats stages a lot, general gameplay idea is fun, quite fluid, no story, ends up getting really long and difficult
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice trip back to childhood.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not as addictive as I thought it would be, but still a nice game to play. People who enjoy casual puzzlers should definitely give it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite casual games. Recommended.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Luxor HD is a HD remake of the Luxor franchise of match-3 ball matching games. Using a mechanic similar to Bust-A-Move (which they invariably ripped off to make this franchise), the balls follow a track instead of being stuck together on the ceiling. Otherwise the gameplay is identical. This particular edition crashes immediately as soon as you interact with it, chewing up 100% of one CPU and locking every desktop you have so you need to switch users or log out to terminate the process.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun time passer. I just wish there were achievements to keep me interested, but still fun. Kind of pricey, better to wait for a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice shooter game if you like shooting things and not people. Fast-paced in regular game mode - brutal in the onslaught mode! Nice graphics, easy to play and understand for pretty much any age.

unlabelledView post →This is a quick, fast, boredom killer. Its fun while playing and its easy to put down when you have to.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What I love about the Luxor HD game is that its visuals are crisper, and the game should be 100% compatible with the Steam Deck. Its fully functional on my Steam Deck. I suggest altering the controls so that you use at least one if not both track pads as a left click mouse. The joystick is too fast for moving the marble shooter part around. Also, this game brought back memories from my childhood. Very nostalgic!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Luxor HD is a high-definition revival of a classic casual puzzle experience, developed by MumboJumbo and published by Accelerate Games, that leans confidently into its roots while polishing the formula for modern displays. At its core, the game is built around the familiar and instantly understandable concept of stopping advancing chains of colored spheres before they reach their final destination, but it elevates this simple premise through careful pacing, audiovisual polish, and a steady…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a fun classic arcade game. I highly recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nostalgic. Very fun quick game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend this version for people with Win11. Love this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an oldie but a goody !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →love it so much!!!!!!!!!.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →$10 is too expensive imo, best to get it while it's on a deep discount sale or from a bundle. If not, it is a fairly enjoyable game, but only if this type of Match-3 game is your cup of tea.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a pretty good, a timeless classic which many of you might already know and have played. Of course, towards the end the levels get longer and longer, (and harder, of course) but if you play it from time to time at your own pace you'll get to the end. In general, I recommend this one. 7/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Luxor has good fundamentals. I haven't played Zuma, the game's clear inspiration in gameplay and aesthetics, so I can't offer any substantive comparison, but on its own, the concept is sound, and it's designed competently. However, the execution frustrates me. The one and only music track for the gameplay gets on my nerves, it's too ostentatious and doesn't complement the gameplay, yet it will still burrow into your skull through constant repeat. The campaign is also way too long, with 86…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nostalgic game for many, but coming back to it after all these years it is a bit trevial. that being said it plays well with no issues, it is best played as a time waster. +
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely one of my favorite casual games. Simple and decently addicting with pretty beautiful graphics even all those years later. Level designs are.. Rather simplistic, which I do not really mind, though I personally prefer the 3D backgrounds of later games. There's some short story if you care for that, but it's mostly about the gameplay for most people, myself included. You just shoot balls into other balls to match 3 of same color. Despite the game being simple, there's a lot of thinking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the new designs on the marbles and it actually plays
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is challenging and fun. Played it years ago and was pleased to find it on Steam. Thanks!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finished this game without losing once
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love being able to play the og game in HD but honestly sick of the Luxor 2 balls design.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my childhood games. Still recomend in 2024
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game as a skilled player on a website (rip king.com) for money. I recommend this game to play for fun and to get good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why this genre of game isn't more popular; I'd probably pay a few bucks to get new levels... but no, it was apparently an oughties thing. Sadness. ...but in any case, Luxor 1 was among the best in class, and this HD version of that is pretty much the best way to experience that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The fast pace and variety of layouts are cool - but the graphics are the best to me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is genuinely one of the most fun games I have ever played. I have spent countless hours playing this on the family computer years and years ago when I was but a lad, and now I have returned to my roots and I intend to play this like a full time job. It is rare for an older game to stand up and take precedence over newer titles, but this game will never lose its throne.
