Loose Cannons
Tommaso is the youngest son of the Cantones, a large, traditional southern Italian family operating a pasta-making business since the 1960s. On a trip home from Rome, where he studies literature and lives with his boyfriend, Tommaso decides to tell his parents the truth about himself. But when he is finally ready to come out in front of the entire family, his older brother Antonio ruins his plans. From TMDB

His managers id'd the film as a scene from the movie LOOSE CANNONS. Akroyd said, "They should have left that movie in the landfill"

unlabelledView post →met gene hackman and dan akroyd and bob clark on a movie called THE VON METZ INCIDENT at the time — became LOOSE CANNONS. Not a good movie but Gene was so bright and animated and waving to kids watching them film on a DC street (we walked into it by accident).
unlabelledView post →Dan, Dan, Dan... LOOSE CANNONS is on annual rotation for me. I love that film. Aykroyd! Hackman! Dom DeLuise! Bob Clark directing! Bliss!
unlabelledView post →A friend caught me whistling and said, “That sounds kind of nice. What is it?” Here’s the problem: How do you tell a normal person about the end credits song from the movie “Loose Cannons,” performed by TV icon Katey Sagal?
unlabelledView post →Reg Morris was the cinematographer for Black Christmas & the film is beautifully shot (examples 2 come). It is a visual masterpiece, with many stills capable of being displayed as high art. Morris worked on many other Bob Clark movies, including A Christmas Story, Porky's 1-2, & Loose Cannons 90' 9/

It has a cool function where you tilt your phone and it generates a random film from the 17,000. I then find it and post a pic. Here's today's indiscriminately chosen title... LOOSE CANNONS (1990)
unlabelledView post →RIP Gene Hackman, an actor who always delivered even if the movie was a gigantic turd (looking at you Loose Cannons) Here are my top 5 favorite movies of his 1. Poseiden Adventure 2. Young Frankenstein 3. Superman 4. The French Connection 5. The Royal Tenenbaums
unlabelledView post →LOOSE CANNONS is a wacky comedy about neo-nazis and Mossad trying to get their hands on a film strip showing Hitler's suicide. Dan Akroyd is a cop with multiple personalities (mostly cartoon and movie character) and people get gunned down in slow mo, Peckinpah style.
unlabelledView post →Loose Cannons is a bad movie, but I absolutely love it.
unlabelledView post →"crazy bastards" is either a) what your mum says about dispreferred politicians while looking mildly shocked at herself, or b) how an authority figure in a PG action movie admiringly describes a squad of Loose Cannons who Get Results. terrible swears mr president
unlabelledView post →Why are any you doing this to yourselves? You could be watching a Gene Hackman movie. I just watched Loose Cannons which is dumb as shit, but I guarantee you it is 100x more enlightening than whatever that evil turd has to say.

unlabelledView post →I often think of LOOSE CANNONS when I think about Gene Hackman, not because it's a good movie (because it isn't) but just how he makes it so watchable with his natural charm. He wears his role of a D.C. cop everyone likes so naturally and convincingly. That's why he was the best.

unlabelledView post →So many great movies. Any movie he was in was infinitely better. Even the campy movie Loose Cannons was exponentially funnier because of Gene Hackman.
unlabelledView post →Watching a 90s classic. Yep Loose Cannons a funny movie with a great cast. Pure early 90s film #filmsky #loosecannons #90s
unlabelledView post →Y'all ever hear the story about how Dan Aykroyd said he wasn't going to work with anyone involved in "Wired" because the movie shit on John Belushi's legacy? How he supposedly ended up getting J.T. Walsh fired from "Loose Cannons" cus he found out he was in that? What D&D alignment is this?
unlabelledView post →Still number one. To repeat the obvious, even if a film isn't firing on all cylinders, Hackman is. I do plan on watching some of his films that aren't highly regarded so we'll see what happens when I watch Loose Cannons or The Domino Principle.
unlabelledView post →I just watched LOOSE CANNONS last night on Tubi, and I guess my favorite moment of the movie is when Dom DeLuise shouts "They fucked with the wrong Jew this time!"
unlabelledView post →The lowest rated film he was in by IMDB rankings is Superman IV (3.7/10). Other contenders are Two of a Kind (4.7), Doctors’ Wives (4.7) and Loose Cannons (4.9). His top films are Unforgiven (8.2), Young Frankenstein (8.0) and Mississippi Burning (7.8).
unlabelledView post →My favorite Gene Hackman movie is Loose Cannons, an absolutely batshit flick about a down-on-his-luck cop teaming up with Dan Ackroyd's version of a man with multiple personality disorder to chase a gang of Nazis who are after a gay porn film starring Adolf Hitler. I am not making any of this up.
unlabelledView post →If you want to see a funny Hackman film check out Loose Cannons. Tears were streaming down while I choked with laughter.

unlabelledView post →But you should watch Loose Cannons which is a terrible buddy cop movie where Gene Hackman is a grizzled veteran detective and Dan Akroyd is his new psychic partner.
unlabelledView post →Just revisited LOOSE CANNONS. I'm one of the few people who saw this movie theatrically. I admit it doesn't entirely work, but I've always enjoyed the heck out of it. Very well photographed, Hackman is great as a white middle-aged Axel Foley type, and Dan Aykroyd never fails to make me laugh.
unlabelledView post →Tonight’s #CultShelf leading men are Dan Ackroyd and the recently departed Gene Hackman, who will be very missed🕯️ #LooseCannons #DanAckroyd #GeneHackman #90smovies #RIPGeneHHackman
unlabelledView post →Watching LOOSE CANNONS for @cinemashame.bsky.social and you know a movie sat on a shelf for awhile when a character makes a current reference to the decade it was shot in, which wasn't the decade it was released in.
unlabelledView post →I just watched LOOSE CANNONS myself and thoroughly enjoyed it, though I can see why it was a flop. Exactly my sort of film, though!
unlabelledView post →Just to clear all this up. Hackman's worst film was Loose Cannons Akroyd's worst film was Nothing But Trouble.
unlabelledView post →Positive movie post: Movies I recently watched that I shouldn’t have liked, but weirdly found entertaining: • Plane • Trigger Warning • Loose Cannons Movies that deserve more accolades that I rewatched recently: • Cop Land • Master and Commander • Enemy of the State

unlabelledView post →Loose Cannons/Mine Vaganti (2010). Very watchable. Italy is a fantastic backdrop for any film. Some fantastic lines, including, "You're behind on work", followed by the reply, "You're behind mentally". Great portrait of the strangeness of families #FilmSky #ReelRank

unlabelledView post →Or a pair of Loose Cannons? Loose Cannons was a US comedy action film (not very good by all accounts). The LIBs and NATs are our very own Aussie loose cannons - bullets flying in every direction. Just when you think they've raised the white flag, off they go again😱

unlabelledView post →Loose Cannons for bed time movie, Gene Hackman Dan Aykroyd, and Dom DeLuise fantastic cheesy movie. Thank you Mr Hackman for many terrific roles, thanks double for the cheesy ones!
unlabelledView post →After you’re through with your “The Conversation” and “French Connection” rewatches, I suggest you check out a lesser remembered film called “Loose Cannons”. Is it good? Probably not, but I loved it when I was 11.
unlabelledView post →Gene Hackman was so great he could even make the movie like Loose Cannons enjoyable to watch.
