negative · AI labelView post →Finally watched Longlegs! Not sure if I agree with the people claiming it’s the scariest film in years but it was certainly intense! Knuckles was a very compelling and threatening antagonist, and I can admit that Robotnik getting the chaos emerald sent a chill down my spine. But wow that finale!!
positive · AI labelView post →I had such a weird journey with Longlegs because watching it in theaters for the first time I wasn’t quite sure if I was let down by the “scariest movie ever” marketing and then the ending hit and Nic Cage said “Hail Satan” before rolling credits to Bang A Gong and it was like OH. This is a FUN film

neutral · AI labelView post →Longlegs is an unsettling film that is more than likely a metaphor for conversion therapy but also it’s a film for little Alan Wake and Twin Peaks weirdos who are obsessed with supernatural detective stories that hinge the line between absurdity and terror
positive · AI labelView post →Weapons reminded me a lot of Longlegs, in that if you go in expecting The Most Important Scariest Film Ever Made That Will Shock You And Terrify Your Dick Off, you’ll probably be a bit disappointed, but if you wanna have a kick ass time with a fun horror film, it’s a great vibe
neutral · AI labelView post →Looking back, I honestly think the Longlegs marketing campaign was so amazing that it convinced people the movie itself was good, even after they watched it. Like they created this haunted aura around the film that kind of hid how incredibly silly it is. Just a goofy-ass movie
negative · AI labelView post →I’m rewatching Longlegs again and idkkkkk the vibes in this movie are just really fun
positive · AI labelView post →"Longlegs isn't realistic, the FBI would never pay to chase the devil from the bible--" 1) it's a horror movie jan 2) did we live through the same 90s cuz YES THEY FUCKING WOULD

If you called it when it was active you would hear a message from Nicolas Cage as Longlegs! 😱 #HorrorMovies #NicolasCage #HorrorFacts #Creepy #Longlegs

neutral · AI labelView post →So I saw Longlegs. And half the film is deeply unsettling, creepy film.... ....and Nic Cage being unhinged. I definitely loved it, but I can't say I was scared
positive · AI labelView post →scariest thing about Longlegs is the fear the movie will end without a good look at the hot goat man true terror
positive · AI labelView post →🔔 NEW VIDEO! 🔔 Since I’ve covered every Osgood Perkins film thus far, I think it’s time to revisit LONGLEGS one year later and demystify its titular villain. youtu.be/ODgzmtlkviA Comments & shares appreciated!!
neutral · AI labelView post →When I recently revisted FWWM and David Lynch makes this gesture, I couldn't help but think about what Nicolas Cage does in LONGLEGS. Wondering if Oz Perkins is a fan of TWIN PEAKS. 🎥 #filmsky #horrorsky
neutral · AI labelView post →Credit to LONGLEGS that I'm still thinking about the first 10 minutes or so of that film. I wish the rest of it was as seductive, off-balance and taboo as those first ten minutes, but it's tough to keep that kind of momentum. Most horror movies struggle to keep up with their best material.
neutral · AI labelView post →Watched Longlegs and the new Hellraiser on an airplane. Both fun! Everyone in Hellraiser was too hot and nice for it to really feel like a Clive Barker joint and it was shot like TV. Odessa A’Zion is great. Longlegs was amazing until it got really literal but my god it was shot like a MOVIE movie

So many deliberate choices, including that ambiguity; I immediately want to rewatch. I'm pondering, & will for a while...

unlabelledView post →The film worked as a reverse enigma where the more we learn about Longlegs, the more banal and pathetic his presence becomes. By the end, he’s not truly the dangerous, powerful boogeyman you’re sold to believe. A sequel/prequel can’t undo the demystified hand that’s been dealt.
