It’s one of those games that looks simple at first, but somehow keeps you coming back for "just one more trip", the core idea is managing your own train and traveling between different locations while transporting passengers, as you keep playing, you unlock new areas, meet different characters, and slowly improve your train, the progression feels…

unlabelledView post →This is a cute cosy game that reminds me more of Animal Crossing than any train related game I've ever played before. This game is so close to being fun but it always felt like it fell short of that. It is genuinley upsetting that so much care has gone into crafing this beuautiful piece of art and its turned out just so *boring*. What I liked: The setting: I like the little towns separated by the tracks. They all feel just unique enough and I enjoyed exploring them all for the first time.…

unlabelledView post →I hate being harsh to cozy games, but... you make a game about trains, and then you don't let me drive the train? Making me dump in coal and clicking a location on a map is not train-gameplay. And then when you do start "driving" you stand around idle. The windows are like 5 pixels. So I stare at rusty walls and my 1-2 passenger seats (I don't have more yet after 1h, the pacing is super clunky as well) instead of the option to look at a cozy landscape outside in this game about trains. That…

unlabelledView post →I saw this game and was excited for a cozy game and the base of the game is that. After 5 hours or so my opinion started to change as the core game play loop showed itself. The base of the game is a large fetch quest which is fine but after a few hours the charm wears off and doing things becomes annoying and bugs with quests had me constantly checking on an NPC or reloading the game just to get a character unstuck. Its a very good looking game and the characters are interesting but not flushed…

unlabelledView post →As a person who loves train games, this one had SO MUCH PROMISE. Cozy atmosphere, simple idea, and a nice train you navigate around. That being said, it's not worth anymore than maybe $10 on a good sale, simply because it was so shortchanged in its patches and updates. The game released in April of '25, and got its last update in September of the same year. Only things that were done was bugfixes and some clothes added, and that's it. The game is full stop dead on the rails. Wonderful game,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate that I have to give this a thumbs down because I really enjoyed most of my time with it, but the last quarter of the game and the resolution of the main quest sealed its fate as far as my rating goes. This is one of those games where it is endearing and hooked me in to the point where I saw it through to the end but made me sad because it never turned out to be what I wanted it to be. And, also, I'm sad because the developer shut down quite soon after the release of the game. The…

unlabelledView post →Everyone, check out Locomoto. Cutest game of the year! Very comfy and chill.
unlabelledView post →While the game is competently made, it suffers from 2 major flaws. The first is the "build grid" nature of the train, which has quite a clunky UI and it is really hard to do anything from moving large amount of resources to place them to settle things around. This could be overlooked if the game was offering something more in depth in terms of story and places to visit, but sadly that is problem number 2 The second big limitation this game has is due to its simplistic nature. While it tries…

unlabelledView post →Oh, Locomoto... what can I say? In Short If I could give this game a neutral-positive rating, I would. It clearly has love and care put into it, but it also misses some marks. If you want to get it, I would recommend getting it on sale—it sometimes drops to $15, which I feel like is a much fairer price for what you receive. The Good Locomoto is a cute game. The art style is pleasant and easy on the eyes, the writing is acceptable, the music is nice, and ultimately at the end of the day…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i'll be honest. FIRST I WILL SAY IT RIGHT AWAY!! the game is very cute, it has incredibly nice graphics, models, characters (thanks for the non-binary characters, this is also a special plus for you) I love trains, I love driving and riding them, the game gives you the opportunity to arrange a train. But unfortunately, the game has one big minus... It's incredibly boring. Yes, at first you have fun, create a character, go through training, complete a quest, get new carriages and costumes,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game desperately needs quality of life updates. Everything you do has an air of general annoyance. Picking up a log? better make sure that if you already have a log in your pocket you are holding it. Because if not, they won't stack. It will just take up an extra slot. And in case I've missed something, if you want to merge those two items in your pocket, you need to drop one, select the other, then pick up the one you dropped. It feels like everything is like that, from placing furniture…

unlabelledView post →If you like cozy and casual games with cute characters, customization, trains, questing, adventure, and simple tasks, then Locomoto is probably for you. Based on other reviews, I was expecting a buggy experience, but I honestly didn’t encounter any bugs during my full playthrough. The ending is relatively basic, but honestly, it fits the game. This isn’t some huge dramatic adventure through space and time — it’s just you and your train helping people along the way, and I think the simpler…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've enjoyed the game for when it's playable but a fair warning: this is riddled with bugs. I've already had some quests that are impossible to advance because they do not spawn nor am I able to customize the train as I am not able to interact with the wallpaper/customizing shelves. I would want to continue the game but it's impossible to do so at the moment.

This is a cozy adventure game where you play as a train conductor taking passengers to their next destination and solving the problems of the locals you meet along the way. You can customize your train and it is a cozy fun time!

unlabelledView post →Its nice and all BUT: It gets boring quite fast. Its cute story and chars but constant travelling which isnt fun, takes time and only meaningful thing you can do is repetitive loading coal to engine. Quite frankly I was expecting more customization, steam engine tuning, more minigames... In the end it all narrows down to linear story, side quests, gathering mats, delivering pax and mail to get coins to get more mats to create new items with same functionality. Maybe Im just too old for…

unlabelledView post →An adorable and amusing little cozy game where you run your own train to transport deliveries and people can ride along. You can give them food and drinks, upgrade your train, and customize your own furry character. There's no deadlines to worry about, so everything is at your own pace. No anxiety here, just a comfortably good time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the demo during Next Fest for Locomoto and have been sooo excited to finally play the full game.. lo and behold, the full game has ear physics for your furball! The ears wiggle! #cozygames #indiegames #locomoto
unlabelledView post →I personally really appreciated the freedom of this game. It's a lot of running around/fetching, doing quests- which I personally didn't mind. It was a nice game to dissociate too and really kept my mind off things. Was rather relaxing and not stressful, as there are no time constraints to complete quests or drop off passengers: you're able to mingle, explore and aimlessly do what you want, when you want. If that sounds up your alley, then I'd recommend you give it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a cozy game, but ultimately incredibly boring. I was hoping they would add more features to make the game more engaging and less... blah but alas. They just recently said the game would no longer be receiving updates which is very disappointing. In my opinion, save your money and play another one of the hundreds of cozy games because this is just a boring and repetitive game that lost my interest after less than an hour of playing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My brother started playing Locomoto tonight (a cute cozy animal train simulator) and made this absolutely adorable little mole lad. Did anyone else out there make a mole character for this game, or is he the only one? #Locomoto #Indiegames #Steam
unlabelledView post →I was worried Locomoto might be train game overload since I've been playing Railroader a bunch but they're plenty different enough. Locomoto is like a gay furry stardew valley on a (stolen) train.
unlabelledView post →At the point of this review I spent 18 hours in this game and though I thought it was SUPER cute and was excited for it i can't say I would recommend at this stage. Having no inventory is a big problem with how many tings your are expected to move around and keep on hand. Far from having a cafe on the train (what I expected from the trailer) You passangers often don't order anything and if they do there's nothing to make, just click a button and give them a random item. Ad this to you've…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 4 hours of gameplay, I can confidently say I would not personally recommend this to anyone. The primary emphasis of the game being about being a train conductor feels very shallow, almost like it was just an excuse for the games existence. Most of the first 4 hours I have played has been spent mostly off of my train, doing inane tasks for random critters, finding their lost tools, doing fetch quests or answering questions. The train has been exclusively used as a dressed up fast travel…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute, honestly I give this a 3 out of 5. I loved the concept and it was adorable but got boring because it was super slow paced. I would say if you like games like tiny book shop and just baby quests like delivering items it’s for you. The price is a little steep I bought it discounted in glad I did. But I’m not sure I’ll return to play more
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked this game overall but stopped playing after 8 hours when I realized that every part of the game is just a fetch quest, and the train management between stops isn't busy enough to keep you on your toes so you spend a lot of time just standing around waiting to get to the next stop.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you like cozy? Do you like trains? Boy is this the game for you. I always get into a game with trains and start having a great time, but then suddenly I'm balancing loads, train pathway layout, and trying to make it the most efficient. That's usually about the time I decide to not go get a degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering and set down the game. Luckily, Locomoto scratches that same train delivery itch without requiring a Master's Degree. The anthropomorphic animals are cute, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started my new cozy game LocoMoto yesterday and enjoyed what I have played so far but had to stop at the moment as the game is continuously crashing at the end of train journeys so hoping it's fixed soon.
