unlabelledView post →Well there was a Buzz Lightyear movie that implied lesbians existed so now I hope you understand
unlabelledView post →Seeing British stuff like this is really good for Americans because it’s like “what the fuck lol what is this ridiculous nonsense?” and then they go back to reading a press release from a Senator complaining that the Buzz Lightyear movie from 5 years ago had an implied background lesbian marriage
unlabelledView post →It’s very typical of you “sir” to have a scavenger hunt instead of focusing on what real New Yorkers with real struggles are going through such as how the Buzz Lightyear movie from 3 years ago had a non heterosexual couple in a brief shot
unlabelledView post →1. It pains me to say this, but animated scifi is littered with underperforming films: Treasure Planet, Titan AE, Meet the Robinsons, Mars Needs Moms, Chicken Little, Lightyear, Strange Planet, etc. Even the original Lilo & Stitch was originally only a modest success. www.bbc.com/culture/arti...
unlabelledView post →I have a specific reason for why Lightyear failed: The opening crew tells us that this movie was the one that started Andy's "Buzz Lightyear" obsession. Andy was a 90s kid! They shoulda given us a fun cheesy 90s sci fi adventure! Instead of a turgid 2020s-coded slog, which is, alas, what it was.
unlabelledView post →LIGHTYEAR is NOT a movie about the toy. It is a movie about the PERSON who the toy was based on.
unlabelledView post →Hegseth: Buzz Lightyear went woke…the movie went BROKE Admiral in charge of coordinating with NATO forces: alright
unlabelledView post →Buzz Lightyear went woke, the movie went broke
unlabelledView post →I have many thoughts about Lightyear, because here was a film that 100% absolutely should have worked and didn't. My theory is that they didn't do what they said they were going to do: Show the movie 8-year-old Andy would've fallen in love with. THAT movie would have to be more fun than what we got.
unlabelledView post →Lightyear is a really funny movie because it opens with this dumb text that's like "Andy watched this movie" but also it's a dry as toast stinker of a movie made with 2020s sensibilities when Toy Story 1 Andy's lightyear movie would be cartoony and fun like the Buzz lightyear TV show
unlabelledView post →Lightyear is one of the worst films that Pixar has ever produced. Does that mean I am going to treat my friends any lesser if any of them likes the film? No. You don’t get the license to be an asshole to one and another solely based on the type of media they consume. Stop it. Get some help.

unlabelledView post →Snoop really said he couldn’t explain how two women can have a baby about a movie most famous for a tweet that explained its premise as “And just to be clear, this isn’t Buzz Lightyear the toy. This is the origin story of the human Buzz Lightyear that the toy is based on.”
unlabelledView post →Now just to be clear this isn’t the real Buzz Lightyear from the movie LIGHTYEAR, this is the toy version that Andy bought because he loved the movie LIGHTYEAR so much
unlabelledView post →Snoop Dogg says he’s “scared to go to the movies” after seeing an LGBTQ+ couple in ‘Lightyear’ with his grandson: “I didn't come in for this s***. I just came to watch the goddamn movie.”
unlabelledView post →Thought back to Lightyear randomly, and I am still blown away by how that might be one of the most botched execution's for a film. You had so much potential to make a fun space adventure with robots, alien planets, & made one of the most dull, & confusingly scripted animated sci-fi films ever
unlabelledView post →Snoop Dogg losing it over lesbian representation in Lightyear of all films is not only the lamest way to out his bigotry, but probably the biggest impact on culture that that film is ever going to have
unlabelledView post →baby i don’t know how many times i have to explain this to you, the movie isn’t based on Buzz Lightyear the toy. It is the origin story of the human Buzz Lightyear that the toy was based on. you’re embarrassing me in front of your family with this shit.
unlabelledView post →Age verification? I was adamant we recorded the movie premier of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command on our vhs player because I didn't understand the concept of re-runs.
unlabelledView post →Watched Elio Pixar strikes again and does a much better job of a Sci-Fi film than Lightyear. The animation is easily at it's best with the character designs and backgrounds, the voice acting and characters are great and the writing remains to be strong.
unlabelledView post →Is the gay pixar story an exec's overreaction to Lightyear being poopy cava cause I think the problem with that movie is that it was poopycaca anx not that a couple of gays made eye contact
unlabelledView post →Lightyear was bland, lifeless and failed to live up to it's premise. Elemental, while a fine film overall, was definitely Pixar-by-numbers. Both were designed for mass appeal & failed. Luca and Turning Red are the best post-Lasseter Pixar movies by far. Sweet stories, original ideas, unique styles.
unlabelledView post →I can hardly think of a funnier movie for Snoop Dogg to get freaked out by than Lightyear
unlabelledView post →“Look, I don’t know what’s so difficult to grasp here kids. The Buzz Lightyear movie from the 90s was so popular that Andy bought the toy of Buzz Lightyear and THAT’S the character in all the Toy Story movies…. yes the movie came out in 2022 but it was SUPPOSED to be from 1995… let me start over!”
unlabelledView post →Literally "blink and you missed it". I hate that I have to defend Lightyear but there are more valid reasons to say that movie sucks than THIS: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLLi...
unlabelledView post →Having to explain to my three kids that Buzz Lightyear in the new Toy Story movie is not the same character as Buzz Lightyear in the movie LIGHTYEAR, this character is the toy version of the real Buzz Lightyear
unlabelledView post →They should make a movie based on the life of the real Buzz Lightyear
unlabelledView post →I misread the title of Pixar's LIGHTYEAR as LEVIATHAN, and, long story short, I have a brilliant idea about what studio should make the next HELLRAISER movie.
unlabelledView post →hey aren't you Buzz Lightyear? [whispering] I love your movie
unlabelledView post →I feel like the reception of that weird Buzz Lightyear movie made everybody at Pixar insane
unlabelledView post →it would be more difficult to explain to a child why the movie Lightyear was made
unlabelledView post →He’s talking about a kiss scene between two girls in Lightyear, an animated film 💀
unlabelledView post →I'm about halfway through my rewatch on Lightyear and it's still ass. It sucks because I think the first 20 minutes are great but the film gradually falls apart as it progresses. Not my least favorite from pixar but its gonna be on the lower end of my ranking
unlabelledView post →I'm gonna pretend Star Command was the thing he saw that made him want a Buzz Lightyear toy instead of the movie
unlabelledView post →Said this before but a recent Pixar movie everyone hated but me is LIGHTYEAR
unlabelledView post →Remembering that Lightyear Movie was supposed to be an in-canon film for Toy Story Lore/the movie Andy saw is still hilarious to me because not only would it look like the most expensive CGI Film ever made for that universe's 1995, but also the lesbian kissing scene would blow up 90s Politics
unlabelledView post →It makes everyone look like Buzz Lightyear, which is what you want in a space movie.
unlabelledView post →Love Is Love ❤️🌈 #filmsky #Lightyear #scriptsky "... it was so natural to write "she" instead of "he" As small as that detail is in the film, I knew the representation effect it could have. Small line, big deal. I was elated that they kept it."
unlabelledView post →Went to see TOY STORY 5 and enjoyed it but I really wish I understood the backstory of the movie Andy watched in 1995 to get him excited about Buzz Lightyear, but made in a way that is nothing like a kids film of 1995
unlabelledView post →Snoop Dogg apologized for homophobic comments he made about the Disney movie ‘Lightyear’
unlabelledView post →On top of the bullshit marketing saying this is the movie Andy saw that made him want Lightyear, there's next to nothing fun about this that would really hook a kid. It's a sluggishly paced film with stock characters, a boring lead, and an infuriatingly stupid twist that just leads to more questions
unlabelledView post →Such a perfect example. "Lightyear, a film for literally nobody, bombed, clearly this is Turning Red's fault."
unlabelledView post →Technically, the first PG rated Toy Story film is Lightyear 🤓
unlabelledView post →Over the past week my wife and I randomly rewatched all the Toy Story movies for the first time in years (for each respective flick) then we watched Lightyear for the first time. Man…Toy Story is a PERFECT movie series. Each film is a 10/10. Flawless. And Lightyear was super fun! Really dug it.
unlabelledView post →Lightyear gets way too much hate because it's unfairly compared to the mainline Toy Story movies and the Star Command series. If you look at it as a standalone film, there's a lot of amazing stuff in it.
unlabelledView post →I just got out of the theater. Not only was the movie a much better theatrical experience than Lightyear, but it managed to surpass Soul as my favorite Pixar film after Coco.
unlabelledView post →Moana 2 except it's the Moana Disney+ show they previously announced patched together as a film. Expect a new Toy Story movie except it's just the boxset for "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command".
unlabelledView post →With the ride update, I don't think Buzz Lightyear needs its film projector for the speed tunnel anymore. Looks like it was getting repaired with parts from old Epcot projectors, there's tags for China and The Land on it. Check out that film loop cabinet!
unlabelledView post →Nearly three years later and I'm still flabbergasted by the twist villain of Lightyear (and the film as a whole). Like......what the hell and why????
unlabelledView post →Sure, a brief same-sex kiss is what killed Lightyear -- a film with a deeply convoluted and unclear premise -- at the box-office. Y'all have really cracked the case on that one. No motivated reasoning there whatsoever
unlabelledView post →I think the weird opening crawl backstory of Lightyear being the movie Andy saw that made him want the toy was a detriment and made very little sense. They should have said "This is the Buzz Lightyear reboot movie that Andy wrote as an adult after he became a writer"
unlabelledView post →Watching Lightyear right now. This is to Pixar what Wish is to Disney Animation. A film that completely polarized people because it doesn't align with what people envisioned in their heads.
unlabelledView post →‘HOPPERS’ final runtime is 1 hour & 45 minutes. Pixar’s longest film since ‘Lightyear’ (2022). #Hoppers #Pixar #AnimatedMovies #Lightyear
unlabelledView post →You want to talk "universal" films, it means franchise slop like Lightyear. Films from nowhere, from no POV save "can we build a ride in the parks based on it?" Flavorless, gray blocks of content paste pretending to be a film.
unlabelledView post →tbh, i didn't care much for Lightyear. wasn't there already a Buzz Lightyear movie, that being Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins? and there was also the Buzz Lightyear animated series that aired on Disney Channel.
unlabelledView post →TRIVIA: Billy Crystal declined the chance to voice Buzz Lightyear. After seeing the finished film, he said the decision was the biggest mistake of his career. Upon learning this, John Lasseter telephoned Billy to offer him the role of Mike Wazowski in 'Monsters, Inc.'. (IMDB) 🖤
unlabelledView post →Buzz Lightyear went woke! The movie went Broke!
unlabelledView post →In 2022, to promote the movie Lightyear (Remember Lightyear?), Disney briefly brought a face character of Buzz Lightyear (not Buzz Lightyear the toy, but the human Buzz Lightyear that the toy is based on) to the theme parks.
