But what I found was pure despair, A broken mess beyond repair. The devs have left, the servers dead, No updates left, just bugs instead. The graphics look like 2002, And controls? Just pure voodoo! "Life is Feudal: Your Own" Don't buy! This terrible game is not worth paying for! "Life is Feudal: Your Own" Must Die! Let it rest in the manure, I will say nothing more The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A German translation you will find after the english text. Life is Feudal: Forest Villag = FV Life is Feudal: Your Own = YO Life is Feudal: MMO = MMO A word to the negative reviews you can see here on Steam : I think the biggest mistake the devs/publisher has made is that they advertise this game YO like the MMO. If you see the shop page of YO it looks like a inhabited world with towns and villages , NPC and huge battles. This is not what you get. You get a game for YOUR OWN - if you play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game could have been amazing and extremely popular but the devs decided that they would rather go for a quick cash grab but making a pay to play MMO instead of just developing this one, truly is a shame they couldnt see what their fan base did. Greedy devs in it for the money. Shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this version of the game should have some NPCS to interact with, whether enemies or small villages, because if the game allows the player to play solo there should be more things in the game world to engage the player.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wish Steam had a neutral option for this one. Life is Feudal: Your Own was genuinely great in its prime. The systems were deep and unforgiving, and the roleplay servers were fantastic — player-run towns, politics, wars, and long-term stories made the world feel alive in a way few games ever managed. Sadly, that time has passed. Development slowed, updates stopped, and the playerbase faded away. Today the game feels largely forgotten, and without an active community, its biggest…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No NPCs, if it had them I would probably play it, but as it's very lonely game, it's not worth it. Btw MMO version is terrible, I am still angry on you devs!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game years ago, but I will not be playing again until it's no longer a Money grab. I loved playing this but the only problem I found was that it was near impossible to play alone or with a small group. Now that there's a subscription to play the game? What is this nonsense? I'm disappointed with how this game is run now. As it is now I would not recommend anyone getting this game. It was very very grindy (I enjoyed the challenge but some people in my group hated it) it was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →❄️ Eternal Winter, or a Lifetime of Terraforming I have respect for the game and for those who genuinely love it, but... this review is strictly about solo and local co-op (I did not play multiplayer). For that experience — Not Recommended. 🔴☠️ Dead since 2018 The original studio shut down. The current owners clearly don't care about this project — no patches, no fixes, and there never will be. The game is frozen in its buggy state. 🔴👤 Barebones character creator Three faces per…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →welp i gave this game a second try but its still poorly made no one should take 4 hours trying to flatten ground to make their starter hut.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →they ran with our money, sold it to people who wants to make it a pay2win shameful game, stau away as far as possible
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had this game in my library.... Suddenly it vanished and now they expect me to pay AGAIN?! NOPE!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Life is Feudal: Your Own is one of the most frustratingly brilliant games I’ve ever played. There’s nothing else quite like it. The way you can shape the land itself — not just place buildings, but actually dig, flatten, carve and mine — gives it a level of realism and ownership that most games don’t even attempt. Every swing of a shovel or pickaxe matters. Progress is slow, sometimes painfully slow, but that’s exactly why it feels meaningful. When you finally look at a piece of land you’ve…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played 1,500 hours of Life is Feudal. That's like 62.5 days. It is equivalent to 9 months on a 40 hour work week job. I like it. I like running my own server for it, too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was browsing through my game list, looking for something to play, and I remembered how much I hated this game. So I wrote this "review."
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you get into the right server it is a nice relaxing game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just no. It has good features. But solo it's awful. I haven't seen any animals at all and npc's don't exist. Everything is slow.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Life is Feudal: Your Own is not just a game — it’s a full medieval survival simulation where nothing is handed to you. You either learn… or suffer. Pros: 🔧 Extremely deep crafting system — one of the best in the genre 🏗️ Full building freedom (from a shack to a fortress) ⚔️ Hardcore gameplay — no casual shortcuts 🌍 Large open world and private server support Cons: 🐌 Very slow progression — sometimes painfully slow 🐛 Bugs and technical issues (the game shows its age) 👥 Not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →last time i played this was Nov 25th 2015... until today. Seems if many updates have been made but the game still comes off as using controls and methods that are unconventional. that said graphics are ok and may be interesting for those who play in groups. as a single player game i would not recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short: This game is very special and definitely not for casual players. But once you start figuring things out and building useful tools, you will start to fall in love with this game. So if you're looking at this game and wondering if the price tag will be worth your time, you should ask yourself the following questions: 1) Do you definitely want to play a more advanced version of Minecraft? 2) Are you definitely willing to spend a bunch of time learning, building, and accumulating…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Saxxon Posted: 11 Nov, 2014 @ 4:06pm We have responded with this information to the reviewer in the hopes that any confusion may be addressed and what is written here be re-evaluated in light of these facts. The game has been extremely successful selling over 100,000 copies in the first month alone, so of course this game will be a complete stand alone finished product projected to reach final release in Q3 2015. It defies any logical reasoning why a person or company would not complete a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lacks a lot of QoL updates that exists in Life is Feudal: Arden. Arden however, lacks the whole singleplayer aspect that Your Own has. If Arden had singleplayer or Your Own had Arden's QoL updates, it would be a great game..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →devs took the money and ran on day 1 it seems, they initially promised a lot but it's just clanky garbage.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Life is Feudal: Your Own is a medieval sandbox RPG that takes the concept of survival far more seriously than most games in the genre. Developed and published by Bitbox Ltd., it focuses on creating a demanding feudal simulation where gathering resources, developing skills, constructing settlements, preparing food, and fighting other players require considerable commitment. Its deliberate pacing will not appeal to everyone, but players who appreciate complicated systems and long-term progression…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Took 3hrs to build the first shack to live in. The UI is garbage and the shack didn't have an accessible interior, its just a spawn point when you claim it. Decided to cut my losses from there. Not for me but if you enjoy having a second job this might be for you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best building, crafting and survial game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a shame they got Sean Bean to voice act the trailer. the game is absolute rubbish.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game died, they tried LiF MMO, it died, they tried re-releasing again with subscription, it died yet again. Now they're comeing out with LiF:Arden promising the people its going back to free to play, but you literally have to buy the game yet again? They're probably not showing it on steam because it's literally the 4th time they're selling the same game.... NO NO NO DO NOT BUY!!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very dated, dead, and abandoned game. The devs really screwed over the mmo community by closing up thier support for the game with 0 warning years back. Don't support bad devs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brilliant concept and game...however, lacks any further development and support from developers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfinished. Grindy. Buggy. Slow. Doˇnt bother.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Waste of money, really I don't remember why I even bought it One of those "THAT MMO IS GOING TO END ALL OTHER VIDIOGAMES" type of thing which development never goes anywhere for a plethora of reasons and then the game dies
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dove into Life is Feudal: Your Own expecting a survival game with swords and castles. What I got was a full-blown medieval simulation that’s equal parts frustrating and fascinating. This isn’t your typical hack-and-slash RPG, it’s a slow burn, and that’s exactly what makes it special. You start with nothing. Literally. Just a few items and a dream of building something in a world that doesn’t care if you succeed. The game throws you into a massive open world where everything is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game when it first came out; my partner and I put a ton of hours into it, and really enjoyed our experience. Even though it was a buggy early access title, it was fun. Even though it was very difficult, it could also be rewarding once you put in the time. The fact that we could run our own server and set it up the way we wanted was awesome, and combined with the enjoyable gameplay loop, it was one of our favorite games for about a year, despite the bugs! Then, the devs abandoned…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ive tried to play this game multiple times as I have owned it for years. Every time i play it, i do the same thing over and over again. flatten an area and then try to build a house... Every single time I only make it as far as flattening the ground except for one time I actually built a house. Im currently doing a play through in hopes that I can finally experience the game well since I have learned a decent amount about how to play it after restarting so much. Im posting this review because i…

My home was covered in grave markers because I refused to go and eventually there would be so many he wouldn't know where my loot was. A fever dream.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Life Is Feudal: Your Own did you recognize what happens when you put the words in a slightly different order? Is Your Feudal Life Own That's right, it becomes even more gibberish.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7 years later and im still recovering from the PTSD caused by my last playthrough. I distinctly remember spending 5 hours trying to flatten some ground in the woods so that I can place a hut. After all that work I stepped back to look at my progress-- the ground looked virtually unchanged. That moment broke something deep inside me, even now I can hardly stomach almost any grinding and survival mechanics because of this game. I never got REMOTELY close to building that damn hut.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it on 50% sale... Waste of money... If you love suffering in a survival game with no tips or hints, its perfect.... That's not my type of game though. The building mechanic is cool... But also why build a city if you cant have NPC villager slaves... Wish I could refund, but I tried too long to figure the game out before I rage quit...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is one of the most convoluted crafting games ever made. The controls are clunky, the progression is gated in the most ridiculous ways. Perhaps my complaints would be mitigated by good graphics/sound/music but this game is rudimentary in all of those regards. In short the bad is very bad the good is mid at best.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Life is Feudal: Your Own is a medieval sandbox simulation that aims to immerse players in a realistic and cooperative world-building experience. This review encapsulates the game's strengths and weaknesses. 🛠️ Immersive Crafting and Terraforming One of the game's standout features is its intricate crafting and terraforming systems. Player can manipulate the terrain extensively, creating moats, tunnels, and customized landscapes. The crafting mechanics require player to engage in detailed…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →how does a tree have zero useful resources
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →theres just far too much jank to play this in 2024 when there are so many similar games. the UI feels clunky and out dated doing so much through menus instead of just interacting directly with things. it doesnt seem terrible but it just seems like it needs a lot of work compared to other similar games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Life is Feudal: Your Own" is a medieval sandbox game aimed at players who enjoy realism, crafting, and creative freedom. Developed by Bitbox Ltd., the game offers an authentic medieval experience far removed from typical fantasy RPGs. Instead of dragons and magic, it leans into a highly detailed simulation of medieval life and survival. Here’s my review: Graphics and Atmosphere The graphics in Life is Feudal: Your Own are solid, though not at a triple-A level. The environments are often…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It doesnt seem like a bad game from the short time i played i did enjoy the idea however i do want to note this is a multiplayer type of game as there are no towns, and no interactive npc's there are like raiders who will fight you and such but thats it. So if you want a game where you can build your own kingdom or such with a large community this game would be great however for a solo player you may not want to.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →love the fact you have to work for what you want, however some of the items take way too many things to build and decay soooo fast you are replaceing them every few days. but its an addictive game and very rewarding when you see what you have built.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My opinion of this has been tainted by their MMO It might have good features and such but my experience with the MMO has just made me have no joy to this game even after not playing the MMO for years.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're a hardcore fan of a great medieval sim, that gives 0 ♥♥♥♥♥ about your need to be coddled, then this is the game for you. Immerse yourself in a game that will give you a taste of what life was like during the medieval times. Games like this are only appreciated by hardcore gamers
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game has a setting. the setting allows you to turn off "decay". even when set to zero your stuff will still decay and vanish. i can hear all the morons saying you have to build an in-game blah blah blah. HELL NO. IF THE SETTING IS TURNED OFF IT SHOULD BE OFF. logging back in after sleeping and finding everything you built gone is absolutly garbage programming seriously who ever decided this was ok should work the coal mines for the remainder of their lives for wasting so many other peoples…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Without AI villagers, this is boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dated and just dont understand the concept of the game. Go and play space engineers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The MMO was shut down long ago. I see it is back up by a new publisher. Assuming that it is the publisher that screwed over Bitbox ltd I cant recommend. Its a decent game but dont support corporate thievery.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The worst game of it's kind I've ever played. So much potential. Nut buggy as hell, not intuitive and no in game tutorials that I could see. The community is dead as well. Trust me, don't bother with this or the MMO version which you can only buy (and subscribe to) on the devs website.
