Even for only an hour so far, this game helped me communicate with my autistic child with focus, direction, and spatial awareness. -Button commands are clear (Xbone controller) -Objectives are marked clearly -Controls are intuitive I'm only reviewing this for parents in a similar situation.

Overall: 10/10 Story: The story ended up being a very pleasant surprises for me. Unlike most LEGO games, which are essentially just quirky retellings of your favorite films, this game tells a completely original story with its own cast of characters, so you don't need any prior history with the IP to understand the plot. That might initially make you side-eye or second guess this title since a big part of most LEGO game's selling point is the fan-service aspect, as it did for me, but it…

The best LEGO game of all time and you can't tell me otherwise. Unique and original story, great soundtrack, and funny references. You could even say LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight doesn't quite replicate its magic.

Easily the best open world experience in a LEGO game. The open world here is much more integrated into the story levels than some other LEGO games where the open world often feels like an after thought. The 70s disco-funk soundtrack/score is such a treat. The original story they came up with is fun and the cast absolutely nailed it. My only complaints so far would be the the character toggle mechanism. If you want to play as different characters other than Chase, you have to first go to…

A huge BUT Controls are horrible and I mean the idea and key bindings Only playable on gamepad, the keyboard layout is abysmal Combine it with the forced camera angles and enjoy the pain No manual saves, only checkpoints The platforming is OK, but not punchy or snappy Not much of a combat, not much of a driving too The local co-op (when enabled) can't be turned off So, we have a parody of an action-movie of the 80s/90s in a GTA-like game. Is it funny? Yep, it very often keeps the humor at a…

Kind of a GTA in form of LEGO. In my opinion it's one of the strongest LEGO games of the last 15 years or so, simply because it's not bound to a license and therefore no real source material. Because of that it seems a little bit unhinged sometimes, but in a rather good way. Overall definitely recommendable. Especially on sale.

I genuinely love this game and still feel it's the best Lego game to date. I originally bought it on the Wii U, then on the Xbox One, Switch, and now Steam. That's just how good it is. It's a shame we never got a sequel. The team behind this game did such a great job on the open world aspect. There's always something to do. You're never bored. The districts are all full of recognizable landmarks. It's not too big or small, it's the perfect size. The traditional Lego levels are really fun to…

Great childhood game. Not a great PC port though. For a price of 4.5 euros (steam sale, 85% off), this game is definitely worth it. I watched its walkthroughs many times as a kid, so it felt great to experience it myself. However, the PC port has some issues. For starters, gamepad. I played with a Dualsense, which this game doesn't support. Steam Input fully fixes those compatibility issues, so that's not a problem. What is a problem is that the switching between gamepad and keyboard is…

The game has a LOT of content. 62 hours in (granted being my second lego game) and im only 60% done. Once you finished the main story line theirs side "missions" but they just feel like filler content. A lot of filler content imo with the 450 gold bricks needing to 100%. im just running around a lot kind of aimlessly searching for collectables. with the game crashing almost every hour or if im lucky 2 it becomes very unenjoyable having to load it back up and traverse back to where i was because…

Summary: You play as Chase McCain, an undercover cop in a massive LEGO open-world city. The game is basically a LEGO-style GTA without the violence — you explore the city, solve crimes, go undercover in different disguises, and mess around in a surprisingly big and interactive world full of humor and references. Personal Opinion: The game is a lot of fun and full of charm. The humor actually lands, the story is entertaining, and exploring LEGO City never gets boring. There’s always…

HUNT THE RED BRICKS FIRST, WILL SAVE YOU ALOT OF HASSLE. A solid lego game to play if you're looking for lego itch before batman comes out. Ran smooth, crashed maybe twice? 9/10 for a lego game.

LEGO City Undercover is a fantastic game, especially if you have some nostalgia for it. I already knew the story from watching Let's Plays years ago, but playing it myself still didn't disappoint. The story is fun, surprisingly long, and complemented by plenty of side quests and a great open world that gives you a lot to explore. You can easily get around 30 hours of gameplay out of it, which I think is great value for the price. Going for 100% does require playing the story a second time,…

I wasn't going to buy this at first because I had already played and 100 percent-ed the game on my 3DS last decade gosh I feel old... But when I found out that the 3DS was actually a PREQUEL STORY! due to having to work around limited hardware specs, for me experiencing the real story was in my head-cannon a sequel. I don't play Lego games anymore, but this is an exception because it has an original story line and far enough away from other franchises except for references and easter eggs.

8/10 game, I'm about at 50% total completion at 30 hours play time. Story is great, mechanics are very fun, there are tons of unlocks and collectables. The puzzles, while simple, are enjoyable. the overworld is VERY large, so it makes finding collectables a bit difficult at times. One major issue is that, around the 20 hour playtime mark the game starts to crash, the more time you put in the for frequent these complete crashes become. the game saves semi-often so normally you don't lost to much…

On its own, the main game is actually pretty fun with all its slapstick moments and similar shenanigans. But everything else is an overly tedious grind (and yes, I’ve played and completed several Lego games to 100% before), which is hardly any fun. For quite a few actions, a status text pops up, basically saying: Oh great, you’ve completed one of these actions; now you have to search the world and complete 20 more of them. Let me be blunt, the story is bland, even compared to other lego games, i enjoyed both lego star wars and batman, this game felt like a chore, and trust me i tried to stick around waiting for it to be good, its just not, the only fun thing is that we can crash other townsfolk cars.
