Some of the routes don't feel like they work. For example the monster hunting has nagas which drop tentacles and fish, which turn into kraken and sharks. The fish can be turned into sushi, which look like they have some support. whereas the kraken just stay kraken. They aren't even counted as monsters so can't be interacted with in the same…

In this fun game, hrow different ingredients together in a cauldron & watch them interact for tons of points! (Watch closely as rice touches salmon and turns into sushi) Game: Kinny and the Cosmic Cauldron (demo) Platform: PC

Its mouse only and has NO KEYBINDS (editable or otherwise hardcoded) so you cant hack together a working layout. I can understand the devs not prioritizing controller but its not even that much work, like every action could be a buttonpress instead, scrolling through the balls/ingredients in a pot could just snap from one to the other etc. I wanted to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's some charm to this game. I like the cast of characters. But, beyond unlocking more ingredients, there really isn't any compelling progression. The risk/reward of the special events never really pan out to one's favor. In fact, as one unlocks more, the game becomes more difficult as synergies become more and more rare. With only a few families of ingredients, there really isn't too much variation between the viable builds one can create. Additionally RNGesus must highly dislike me, as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game mode is excellent—I'd give it a 9 out of 10. However, as your level increases, the number of cards in the pool grows, making it increasingly difficult to assemble a coherent deck. Many of the card and relic bonuses feel like raindrops falling into the ocean—they serve no real purpose other than polluting the pool. Having both low-tier and high-tier cards mixed together in the same pool is a serious flaw in a roguelike. After six hours of play, I still haven't cleared the game—and among…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really liked the demo so I got the game on release. It has super cute graphics, the animations are smooth, and the overall experience is very satisfying (not the most cerebral, but sometimes it's fun to just throw ingredients in a pot and watch Numbers Go Up). I would recommend it with a single caveat--the controller support is bad. I'm picking "Yes" for "Do you recommend this game?" in general, but if you plan to play it with controller, it is a "No" right now. Since the devs announced…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →incredibly addicting balatro like, dare i say BALLatro with cute little balls bouncing inside a cauldron
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is sort of too simple, bordering on flash-game status. There's no real story. As a player you have very little say in build and most of the items you can buy at the shop do very little.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A new take on something like a Slot roguelike (Luck be a Landlord) but uses bumping physics. Basically every ingredient tossed into your cauldron takes the form of a small to huge bouncing ball and will score points according to its own rules. Like how #Fruit ingredients score points by bumping into other #Fruit or #Fish by bumping other #Fish ingredients. Even more fun are ingredients like Monkeys. A Monkey sores points by bumping into other #Animals but will also eat any Apples or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Addictive as hell. Kinda great idea and cute looking but it has some problems. Balance is strange - some builds will work only in special conditions (like special relics or combinations) and early on you can be forced to play that build but you will never see anything that will help you to "complete" build and win in late game. Also a lot of stuff is locked behind "metaprogression" like not just new ingridients and combos, you literally cant do anything with starting ingridients before you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun game i like unlocking the different cooking Ingredients
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This witchy game is fun little roguelike. Everything is well polished and charming from the character designs to the mechanics themselves. It feels almost like an auto battler, as once you pick your ingredients its sort of up to how they collide in the pot that will determine the outcome. My time with it was short, but very pleasant as once I found an OP combo I blew through the content pretty easily. There are still some unlocks, but I think you can get most of the what the game has to offer…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The premise is a little jarring against the cute visuals but it's quite fun and well polished.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After putting 40 hours into the demo, this is very welcome huge expansion. Incredibly fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really charming roguelike with great art, funny writing and a really enjoyable main mechanic. My only issue would be that it's fairly easy to see the paths for "optimal" builds, and the ingredients don't have much crossover between these paths, leading to less incentive for any replayability, but at the low entry price, it's a forgivable sin, and the game is enjoyable for the few runs just to check out the different builds, and unlock new ones.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →rng heavy but addictive, fun and incredibly versatile builds
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun (spent 15 hours straight after buying) and cute as you can see. Although requires rebalancing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay loop is pretty addicting. I love the art style and the music is great!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get repetitive after short while...Hard to build deck after unlocking most items, too diluted pool NGL i enjoyed the demo so much that i purchase this on the first hour release.. so disappointed

unlabelledView post →Fun game but it really lacks in the longevity department. Runs are too short and once you finished them a few times there is really not much to work towards further: -Insignificant meta progression apart from unlocks. -The difficulties add nothing but higher target scores. -No endless or other options to make a run longer. -Too much RNG in general, some interesting build archetypes require unrealistic midgame luck. -Lots of clicking trough boring filler conversations. -Relics are strong but…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is seriously addictive! I was a bit dubious upon first booting up, as I wasn't sure how engaging a game about watching balls roll around in a pot would be... then I blinked and three hours had passed. So, needless to say, pretty engaging! I've been having a really good time with it. I love the pixel art style, all the different types of items you can unlock, and all the reactions you can experiment with. It makes for a very fun and varied experience, and it makes me curious to always…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →complete the game by making elven princess having 8 penetration gangbang with 8 legend warrior and the defeated last boos let u name the dish, so I called it "ELF 8Penatration(letter limited)"
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still fun, just like during the demo ;>
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed my time with Kinny and the Cosmic Cauldron. The art style is charming, the concept is original, and watching your ingredients bounce around the cauldron while trying to build synergies is surprisingly addictive. That said, I feel like the game has even more potential than what it currently offers. Progress can be a bit slow, and even on the easier difficulty settings I often found myself repeating the same weeks over and over to unlock ingredients and move forward. After a while, the…

unlabelledView post →Another random #indiegame recommend: Kinny and the Cosmic Cauldron Akin to How Many Dudes, it's another chaotic drafting game that's keeps things on a macro level. Clever interaction structures make it surprisingly strategic under all the random pinging and ponging. Worth checking out!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really love this game and can't stop playing. The art is adorable!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's balatro x suika game. Starts off real slow and a bit uninteresting (mainly because of the starter and earlygame ingredients) until you meet the dragon's quota for the first time. Then the real game starts and gets crazy and actually really fun. If you want to skip to that part quickly I highly recommend aiming for a wine build, also don't underestimate explosions, they are pretty broken. The pixel art and overall art direction and character designs slap, especially the ones in the late…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a lot of beautiful art work in this game and funny/interesting characters that it keeps the rogue-like gameplay loop interesting. It is satisfying to watch the ingredients bounce around in the cauldron, and there are obvious synergy combos to pursue the more you play. I think the biggest complaint is that the RNG and balance seems all over the place, but they seem to be doing balance patches daily to help address and tweak the game which is greatly appreciated. I'd advise that…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am very bad at this game but I cannot stop playing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →gameplay is quite fun - suika game + deckbuilder! the art is well done and cute! (so many cool witches!)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't expect to be playing this very much at all but it's holding my attention. The game gets much better once you get to the end of week 3 for the first time, then you can select your starting ingredients for future runs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun, never played anything like this in the past so must be a good gateway game to the genre :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the vibe this game has! The characters look really cute and cool. Watching everything bounce was so satisfying that I didn't even speed it up. Totally recommended <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay - negative review. But that's for lack of a neutral option. My main gripe is simply the fact that the game relies heavily on synergy mechanics, whilst simultaneously making that less possible with more options which will mismatch. While more options would otherwise be a good thing (I mean, who can complain about new content), it's inherently unsustainable in practice, because it punishes progression. So this means in the beginning it's like being pidgeon-holed into limited ingredients…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little bounce ball point collector? If you liked Ballionaire you'll love this I think. If you're interested in I'd certainly try it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine this in real life but instead of balls bouncing around in a cauldron it would be a futa dommy mommy bouncing her balls on my face...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinny and the Cosmic Cauldron is a fun twist on the Balatro/Luck Be A Landlord style deckbuilders. The NPCs have some cool design. The sound of things colliding/merging/destroying is so satisfying! The random mid game events are fun but don't force you into a poor choice for your deck. I am concerned that as I unlock so many more items that getting a coherent deck together will be tough but we'll see when that time comes. There are a few spelling mistakes but over all I would recommend…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Addictive gameplay with great art style and funny dialouge. lots of replay value.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An excellent entry into the "slot machine roguelike" subgenre, which is one of my personal favorite little niches. Lots of viable builds, tons of unlocks that come at a reasonable pace, and the inclusion of events adds even more variety to each run. Hard to find any real faults here, very fun and addictive game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very interesting and quirky rogue like. The vibes are magnificent and the art is beautiful.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Luck Be A Landlord if it was a Suika game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great rogue like The only thing that could make this game better, would be an infinite mode
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinny and the Cosmic Cauldron takes the familiar structure of a roguelike deckbuilder and gives it an unusually playful culinary identity. Developed by Kinnymoms and published by Rogue Duck Interactive, Lazy Otter, and Gamersky Games, it casts the player as the witch chef of Stewpendous Spoons, an intergalactic restaurant serving strange extraterrestrial customers. Instead of fighting conventional enemies with weapons or spells, success revolves around creating valuable stews inside the Cosmic…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve spent around 33 hours with the game, and it’s been a genuinely fun experience. The mechanics are engaging and keep me coming back. One area I think could make the game even stronger is deck-building freedom. Having more flexibility to experiment with unusual or creative metas would add a whole new layer of replayability. The ability to mix and match strategies without feeling locked into the same setups is what keeps card-based games fresh and exciting over the long run. Even with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool little balatroesque bouncy ball game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the first rougelite I've played in a minute that scratches that Balatro/Luck be a Landlord itch. It's just engaging enough that I don't get bored and can replay it a million times, but I also don't have to think tooooo hard (some people may not like this, but for me it's perfect).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pinball Balatro!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its actualy so fun wtf
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Going for that Witchelin star.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonderful and charming way to relax, calm down, and cook! I hurt my dominant hand recently and was only able to play games with little interaction. The occulut, witches, circles are my secret love! (NO, I don't have a Gargoyle hanging on my wall!) I didn't expect much, and I was schooled. It is sooo much fun selecting ingredients and cook a delicioud meal for your customers. There is actual strategy behind it! It's not *insert game*, but you definitely need to form a plan, excuse me, dish!…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great, chill autobattler-esque rogue-like. A surprising amount of content for its price — lots of different ingredients, relics, synergies, random events etc. that you'll be unlocking constantly, even after beating the final boss. Different dialogue lines for whether you've beaten a fight in 3 dishes or in 2 or less, great art with some cute pixel animations, unique sound-effects for each of the many ingredients... Decently challenging as well and not just a stomp (which is a good thing); I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good and creative game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little bag-building roguelite. There are tons of unique interactions and secrets to unlock, but the game ultimately boils down to (pun intended) throwing 20 random ingredients into the pot and letting luck (and physics) take over. While the synergies early on don't give you much room for experimentation, as your collection of ingredients grows, there's plenty more to play with. My only complaint is that as the ingredient pool grows, it's harder to find the items you need to really pull off…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, I do wish that’s there’s more to the story, and that when you failed the run it won’t tack like 25 seconds for the restart or title buttons to appear
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →had a good time on normal difficulty, cleared it in a couple of hours and a few tries, would recommend if looking for a fun casual game, not sure about the balancing at higher difficulties since i never tried
