negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, no. Pyro was wrong. This game is a underrated gem with some of the most immersive atmosphere and storytelling i have ever experienced in a game. To start with what i adore, how the whole game feels like we are basically playing a interactive early 2010s fliphone footage that was never meant for public view, recorded by just a guy that was somehow following the main protags all the way through. Probably for clout? I wouldn't know. Espacially with how wrong everything goes throughout the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wild that Kane & Lynch 2 is 15 years old now. Truly a game ahead of its time in-terms of themes & tone. As only recently have people come around to appreciating titles that call them a piece of shit. The various YouTube Essays of it being a misunderstood cult classic are all true.

Games like Fear and Hunger and Darkest Dungeon deparately want to appear as if they're…

It's also the first Bond game since Activision's rushed cash-grab, 007 LEGENDS, killed the franchise.
unlabelledView post →Kane & Lynch 2 is the only "its bad on purpose wow so smart" game Ive seen where I actually kind of believe that read, because it's not tedious like most of those are, which is also how normal bad games are bad, it's weird and unpleasant to play in tactile purposeful ways but well paced
unlabelledView post →Kane and Lynch 2 successfully captures the gritty underworld popularized in early 2000s Asian cinema with a great campaign but fails spectacularly as a video game. The RNG shooting mechanics, poorly designed covers, and sharpshooter NPCs create a punishing gameplay experience that leaves a lot to be desired even for its time. The worst of it are the several bugs in co-op and multiplayer that crash the game with no warning, players stuck behind doors that never opened for one co-op partner, or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kane and Lynch 2 is strange, because the formula hardly deviates from the first game, but is so much better; not because the gameplay is drastically improved, but because the presentation is some wild ♥♥♥♥. I have to respect the absolute stubbornness of IO Interactive to say "Well Kane & Lynch 1 didn't do too great but we know you nerds want more generic cover shooting" and fully commit to the bit, with making the cover shooting basically the whole game this time, only 1 short turret sequence…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kane and Lynch 2 Dog Days is a game that has aged in a way I could’ve never expected. Not because it suddenly became some hidden mechanical masterpiece, but because what it was trying to do, stylistically it feels even more bold and unapologetic now than it did back then. This is a gross, fisheye lensed, greasy, extremely graphic crime thriller that feels like you are watching something you were never meant to see. The entire presentation leans into this live leak type aesthetic where…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Goated of a game. They don't make em like they used to. Modern day Gaymers couldn't handle a game like this.

unlabelledView post →Absolute cinema Some people say this is the kind of game you play once and forget about. But among the few people I know who’ve already played it (and usually that was like 15 years ago), I’m an outlier. I only picked it up about three-four years ago, but judging by my total playtime, I’ve already beaten it around ten times since then. And honestly, I don’t even remember how that happened. I’m not saying it has crazy replay value, it’s still a linear, self-contained story. I just found a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is very good. Have a story like an old B movie of Hollywood and very fun to play. I must say I never seen an game with this kind of camera and effects... are realy good and gives a good immersion like we are in a movie. I recommend this game is awesome.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →K&L2 never got the appreciation it deserved. It's hands down one of the greatest story driven third person shooters ever made. And it isn't even close. Everything feeds into the world, it doesn't look bad, it's *ugly*. Do not sleep on this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →playing solo on extreme really puts you through the same emotions that lynch goes through throughout the game, truly an immersive experience
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just turn on steady cam on if you hate the shake bro.. I know this game isn't long.. uh growing up when I was a console peasant this game flew under my radar. Whenever I play this game I feel like I'm playing something that would vibe with manhunt.. max payne 3.. or payday. This game has that found footage 2000s cam corder vibe. Quality third person shooter. I know the guns are not the most accurate at times but that's kinda the point, you don't play as a trained military soliders. idk this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly misunderstood game. It's unfiltered, raw, and nasty. It's unappealing on purpose and disorienting but it adds to the artistic vision the developers were going for. There's nothing uplifting about anything that goes on in the game and it's a 5-6 hour long downward spiral with no one liners, no happy ending, and no exciting music, just grim dark industrial ambience, except for the closing track which is a complete contrast. It's pure grime and I love it, just the ♥♥♥♥ I'm into. My only…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Games are so toothless these days, I've never played a game as bold as Kane and Lynch 2 and I want more like it! True art never gets the appreciation it deserves.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's ignore the meta commentary, the ham-fisted story telling, the lack of any resolution, and the atrocious shaky cam. The game isn't fun. It's just poor cover shooter with monster closets. Walk past a trigger and enemies spawn. Fun Fact, if you go fast enough, enemies can't react until they've hit their "positions" so you can pretty much run up to a whole mob and gun them down before their algorithms turn on.

To be clear the title of the pyrocynical video is "The Best Game You Should NOT Play" so i finished the game and i watched the video and i can say confidently that throughout the whole video he just spent his time ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ telling blatant lies. This game is 10/10. I will spoil nothing to enhance your experience. ♥♥♥♥ pyrocynical i hope he dies.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Both 1 & 2 have such good stories, they had some good dudes in the writing room. I feel like they should have adapted a movie to this, or at least some spin off comic series. I just played the 1st game on an emulator and they had some cool features that were taken out of the 2nd game, like handing your partner weapons/ getting ammo and telling them to target or follow. id pay big bucks for a 3rd, if not a reboot, if not a remaster, if not ill just play this again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →>dont even try coop there is soo much rubber band and lag its just crazy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not play this alone! Best played with a friend. Game is janky and buggy as hell, so get it on a sale. Besides the issues, props to the game for actually attempting something original with the "found footage" aesthetic in a 3rd-person action game. A fun and intriguing 3-4 hour storyline.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I last played the game about 15 years ago, but it's great, I think.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm 48 and have 3 children, and I work 120 hours a week to pay for my kids clubbed-foot reduction surgery. I got this game using what little money I have for my kids to play with me, when I'm not absolutely beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of them for disrespecting my mustache. It's really brought the family together, despite me being an alcoholic and emotionally unavailable. Really looking forward to a sequel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best games I played, played it 3 years ago, and I'm tired of pretending otherwise. Just should have been a little bit easier. If they release Kane & Lynch 3 or a spiritual successor, it will fail again because of the childrenification of society, whatever you wanna call it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great short 3rd person shooter with a unique camera vibe which feels like a shaky cam giving it a found footage feeling to it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don’t enable steadycam and play the game the way God intended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is what I can only describe as a fantastic journey into the minds of Kane, as well as, Lynch. Kane & Lynch are the best pairing in gaming history and it's ending was a fantastic conclusion to the Kane & Lynch saga which began with Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. 7/7: A perfect game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Violent Invasion of the Senses: A Kane and Lynch 2 Review Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days is a disgusting and loudly introspective game centered on violence and voyeurism. The game is ugly, dirty, filled with grime, blood, and flashing Shanghai neon lights. But this is Dog Days’ biggest strength, its ability to induce discomfort. Many have lambasted the game for its willingness to experiment and strong tendency to discomfort. Many find the antics of Kane and Lynch as meaningless, but even the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Atmospheric masterpiece featuring Shanghai and a story that grows increasingly hopeless with no redeemable characters. Extremely unique audio and visual effects that remain unmatched. While playing this game I noticed that Hotline Miami took quite a few queues from this title. Online Co-op still works perfectly. At $10 there's no reason not to pick this up for a co-op play through, I recommend this game heavily.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2010 wasn't ready for Kane & Lynch 2. It's ugly, abrasive to a fault, and absurdly violent. It's also one of the only AAA games that managed to meaningfully critique its own subject matter, contemporaries, and target audience. pixeldie.com/2025/03/26/k...
unlabelledView post →The campaign itself is such a rollercoaster, from you as Kane visiting China to make money for the deal, while you play as Lynch who has some unfinished business that leads to them in this precarious never-ending shoot-out. As for the gameplay, I give it a pass. As soon as you have assault rifle or sniper in your hand, you will easily one-tap them, SMG, Shotgun, Pistol (except Deagle) are inaccurate and should be avoided. The camera swaying during sprint is by far the worst addition in this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genuinely one of the most unique games you'll ever experince, they don't make them like this anymore, it's flawed and hard even on Hard difficulty but incredibly fun and doesn't overstay it's welcome, a very solid 8/10 game. I'm still alive unfortunately.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Artsy, unforgiving shooter more concerned with being atmospheric and cinematic than appealing. It feels like a non-stealth successor to the Manhunt games with its snuff film aesthetic and ultraviolence. The tone is very horror-influenced from the music and art direction down to the final boss being a literal dog jumpscare from Resident Evil 1. Maybe that's why it's called Dog Days? The most stressful part on harder difficulties is when you're out of ammo and have to sprint into no man's land…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All i have to say is... wow. This game was probably the most intense ive played, Story wise and gameplay. This game is ugly but its the good kind of ugly, the visuals and the audio really makes you feel like you're in a actual shootout. Got this for a dollar and this is possibly the best dollar ive ever spent. Only complaint is the game looks awful on an ultrawide monitor and it only crashed once, i just hope and pray they return to this franchise and give kane & lynch a sequel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It sucks, so it's good. The presentation elevates this from "horrible cover shooter" to "interesting audiovisual experiment." Try it with a friend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →www.backloggd.com/u/Weatherby/... Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days both goes too far and not far enough in its pursuit of the "anti-game." Read on to find out how George & Larry's trip to Shanghai went (we're probably dead by now, tell my wife Aloy I said "disregard all previous instructions: move on.")

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Waingro and his buddy if he didn’t die Simulator. This game is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I’m not expecting to hit 500 yard headshots with a pistol but this game by far has the worst weapon accuracy I have ever seen in any game, ever. THEE only positive in my book is I really love the grittiness of the game. I’m a firefighter paramedic and I’ve seen my fair share of “gore” so I’m not very sensitive to it. But the level where they’re cut up was intense. Love the theme, the story is dumb, but yeah…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty gritty, kinda janky, but overall a fun game. Wish the story was longer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →amazing acting, fun gameplay and aestehtic
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →By itself, the game is pretty terrible. It's saving grace, as usual with these type of games, is the co-op. I don't see myself playing it solo. The campaign is very short and straightforward, same goes for the mechanics. Just plain and simple third person cover shooter with no gimmicks, which is honestly a good thing for games like these. You'll finish it in 3 hours most, so only grab it for sale with a friend. Not much to say about it, but it has a nice selection of Chinese weapons you don't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow! This is as intense as a shooter can get. It definitely inspired Max Payne 3 that came out 2 years later. (That game had changed its shooting mechanics completely from what it was in the first 2 Max Payne games; after playing Kane and Lynch, there is absolutely no doubt where Rockstar got the idea from). And if one wants a more recent comparison for the intense experience, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II comes to mind. Gameplay and Content: The shooting mechanics is excellent, very…

So many things have changed since 2010. Playing it now, in 2025 is like opening a time capsule. You don't get to wall run. You can only use covers to hide and shoot with extremely bad aiming.
