unlabelledView post →I never watched the original Jumanji as a kid because it looked scary. We were watching it last night and IT IS SCARY! It's a horror movie for kids! I kind of love that we had that in the 90s.

unlabelledView post →It'll always annoy me how the sequels make Jumanji the game... progressively less and less mysterious, less dangerous, etc, and more a generic-ass power fantasy. Which, *textually,* in the first film, it's wholly not! Does this man look like a power fantasy to you?
unlabelledView post →Any movie can be improved just by Jumanji'ing it up a bit. Even Jumanji—make it Jumanjier.
unlabelledView post →None of them are "great". But Bautista puts in the most effort with trying various roles and actually "acting", and improving every time he tries a new role. So he gets the nod for actually taking the *craft* seriously, even if he's not particular great at it yet. Cena is likable enough and he plays *his* character well. But he doesn't stray into trying to seriously act, he just takes fun goofy roles for the most part and that's fine. But I haven't seen him challenge himself like Bautista…

unlabelledView post →Ok so now I want to write a zoo in a hurricane movie so that this scene can depicted in surrealist technicolor. It could be like Twister meets Jumanji.
unlabelledView post →"Jumanji 4" wraps production; Dwayne Johnson dedicates final installment to the late Robin Williams — in theaters Christmas 2026.
unlabelledView post →The Jurassic World trailer is odd because Gareth Edwards has clearly directed a horror movie but the trailer editors want you to think it's one of the recent Jumanji films.
unlabelledView post →I react to all AI images like I did to the CGI in the first "Jumanji" movie. My brain just knows there's something off.
unlabelledView post →New Projector Review! Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans have to rescue Santa Claus in the fantasy adventure Red One, from the team behind the Jumanji sequels... so why the hell does this feel like a $250 million present made for no audience in particular?
unlabelledView post →Another "you have no right to be this good" candidate is Jumanji. Loosely based on the film, Judy and Peter go into the magical jungle within the game rather than bring jungle elements to the real world. The real treasures are the dynamic character designs and indulgent color palette
unlabelledView post →So many Jumanji movies but only one Clue movie???
unlabelledView post →*is high, watching Jumanji* *notices opening scene takes place in 1969* A movie taking place in 2026 would use a scene from 1999 for the same effect.... We're the flashback kids 😭😭😭😭
unlabelledView post →Vacation Days 4 (Tuesday) & 5 (Wednesday) We've had 2 days of rain! Mostly, we laid around and binge watched a documentary about models in a cult, and the movie Jumanji: The Next Level! Lots of treats! 💜🌻🥰
unlabelledView post →Make another Jumanji movie then, Dwayne
unlabelledView post →Family movie night pick is the original Jumanji and the kids are already yelling “UH OH DON’T OPEN IT” and we’re only like 5 minutes in 😂
unlabelledView post →Jumanji from the first film was never truly represented in its sequels. It was all about facing your fears directly. No matter how uncomfortably. The sequels were all power fantasies.
unlabelledView post →Jumanji is a magnificent and fun film. That is all

unlabelledView post →The film careers of Karen Gillan, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black all peaked with Jumanji.
unlabelledView post →If there's one thing I always do when I'm going through a tough time, it's rewatch old movies. Currently watching Jumanji (1995). I'll never grow tired of this movie, Robin Williams was a genius.
unlabelledView post →Jumanji (1995) is a terrifying horror movie (for kids).
unlabelledView post →Jumanji (1995) Directed by Joe Johnston
unlabelledView post →Zathura, a film very obviously riffing on the original Jumanji, is very particular in the way it adapts the core premise because it leans into the idea that this is a kids movie, and therefore its protagonists are fundamentally all there to learn a lesson as taught by Zathura.
unlabelledView post →Which film reminds you most of your childhood? 🎥 It’s a tie between Jurassic Park, Jumanji, and Poltergeist 👻
unlabelledView post →it really does have “one of our shareholders saw Jumanji last night so now we’re making a Jumanji movie” vibes
unlabelledView post →Now, in this case it feels very much a matter of the author of Jumanji needing a buck, writing a book, and getting another movie. Get your bag, those choices sell. But that shift from game as indifferent interloper to game as teacher is what really bothers me about later Jumanji movies.
unlabelledView post →Rewatching Jumanji (1995), a movie I’ve seen approximately 1,000 times, and I’m just realizing that THE PATRICIA CLARKSON is Alan’s mom??
unlabelledView post →Today's VHS was Jumanji, a film that freightened young Kiki until she learned to face her fears, as it were. Holds up surprisingly well, pretty funny too. Good movie.
unlabelledView post →Jumanji was the only movie I ever had nightmares about, due to the fear of not being able to master a game This is pretty much my backstory as the King of Games in real life
unlabelledView post →JUMANJI: OPEN WORLD - Official Trailer (4K).
unlabelledView post →Jumanji is such an important film because it dares imagine a world where board games are exciting
unlabelledView post →The protagonists of the next Jumanji movie are all kids who are portrayed to us as needing to grow and become adults in the first few minutes. Again, they need to learn a lesson about themselves, be it "don't be an asshole", or "actually you are pretty" (🤢), and Jumanji is there to teach them.
unlabelledView post →JUMANJI IS A CHRISTMAS FILM
unlabelledView post →I want the movie to be a real life magic player getting sucked into a card like Jumanji and has to be a Planeswalker and say things like "guess he didn't pay the one"
unlabelledView post →One last thing before I hop off the Jumanji Train- The film has a terrifically paced sense of escalation. We start small: • A lil' weirdness. • "What do you mean, "the game thinks?"" • Boy sucked into game. • Bats attack little girl. • Game goes dormant without players.
unlabelledView post →Dwayne Johnson confirms the fourth and final "Jumanji" movie has started production.
unlabelledView post →Yash never seen the original Jumanji. He’s the anti-film bro. #bb28
unlabelledView post →NW: Jumanji Sick day movie #2 I think I'm going to fall asleep
unlabelledView post →I rewatched Jumanji with friends. Still a wildly fun time, an adventure movie that takes a fun concept and manages to make a movie that gets to be funny, creepy and emotional all at the same time. Absolutely good tone and some surprisingly dark moments for a family movie.
unlabelledView post →But also Munroe in the book is a pith hat wearing womanizer with a giant moustache and young girlies at his den of debauchery taking bids from both companies, and in the film he's this suave worldly dude who's kind yet cynical. Jumanji Villain -> Bogart Character, basically.

unlabelledView post →not counting D&D (TTRPG) or Ouija (come on now) or Jumanji (movie came first)... wait... dear god...
unlabelledView post →For a beautiful 25min, Jumanji is a strangely more faithful adaptation of Resident Evil 2 than the actual Resident Evil 2 movie we *had.*
unlabelledView post →Yeah, unless Dwayne Johnson's Ego has a hold on that movie, too, there's no way Jumanji ISN'T moving lol
unlabelledView post →Slightly older so: • Flight of the Intruder • Ernest Saves Christmas • Franco Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet (a long talk about nudity being in the film and why we shouldn't laugh) • The 1953 Animated Tell-Tale Heart • Jumanji
unlabelledView post →I mean, I still fundamentally believe in my heart that if Al Gore were to run and win in 2028, time would in fact reverse and the world would reset to 6th November 2000 a la the original Jumanji film. But I'm not making day-to-day decisions on that basis
unlabelledView post →most of my letterboxd reviews are short n sweet but sometimes a movie possesses you to write a full essay. for me this movie was Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
