Joyquarium
Developer Easyfun Studio
Joyquarium is a relaxing casual fish-raising game. Buy various cute fry and sell them at a high price after they grow up. With the money you earn, you can purchase aquatic plants, driftwood, scenery stone, etc. to decorate your tank (you can freely adjust the color, size, and position). From the Steam store page

60 of 66 · most liked firstThis is a real review (albeit with little gametime for now but it's still a thumbs up), those other reviews appear are giving me bot vibes. I've been on steam over 2 decades. what a blatant rip off of a better game in literally every way, chillquarium. If you're looking for an aquarium fish raising game get that one. If you finish everything in that game and still want more, get Time is Honey, if you finish BOTH of those games and still want more and have like $4-5 to spend, then get this one.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So after 100%ing this I do want to address the elephant in the room: This is definitely a copy of Chillquarium, which you should absolutely buy and play first. You may also like Time Is Honey, as it's a similar game with bees. With that out of the way, I do like Joyquarium a lot! It has some small things I didn't like much (small glitches, some QOL stuff missing) but generally it's a well-done Chillquarium clone. I appreciate the larger options for aquarium decorating and available tanks. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has two major issues: It's not as good as the game that it shamelessly copies, and since it's a clone, it doesn't have any soul. It's just kind of lifeless compared to chillquarium. It's not a bad game really, but with something out there that does everything better, there's not much incentive to play this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Joyquarium does not have a fishing minigame, but it is a fish *raising* game!! #joyquarium #indiegame #gaming #videogames #fishing #fishingminigame
unlabelledView post →This game is amazing. From the gameplay to the lore, this game is for casual and hardcore gamers alike. The lore is extremely rich and deep and it will keep you invested. I recommend this to anyone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is.. fine. I was really hoping that it would give me some fun fish-keeping vibes but it really doesn't. Everything just gets sold off for the most part, keeping only King's and whatever else you need for achievements. The decorating options are kind of bleak. The freshwater options are better but everything is snapped to the ground so you're limited by that. The saltwater side? It really feels like the developer threw some saltwater fish into the game to make people shut up, but…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: Joyquarium's gameplay is rather bland, and it does not provide the charm of fishkeeping at all. The gameplay is too basic and repetitive. There is a significant difference in progression speed between playing the game actively and passively. I got all the achievements in about 11 hours of active gameplay while rewatching movies on the side, but not a single new interaction was presented to me after the first 10 minutes or so. The biggest problem I have with Joyquarium is that while it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game to play while smoking the green plant :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →without a shadow of a doubt this is one of the BEST "creature collector/Idler" games out there to date. worth every penny
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game to keep on as a desktop wallpaper while you work. When I get frustrated with what I'm working on I check on the game for a few minutes then head back to work. It gives me a nice refresh.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A worse looking knockoff of Chillq**r**m. Best feature is the (barely working) wallpaper mode.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Joyquarium is a chill idle game where you raise fish and other aquatic creatures. Once your pets grow up, they generate passive income, or you can sell them to buy better fish and decorations. store.steampowered.com/app/3472890/... #indiegame #idle #indiedev #steam #review
unlabelledView post →I've seen some folks not recommend this game because it's a dupe of other games like Chillquarium, but as someone who has played what feels like 400 dupes of Stardew Valley, including down to using many of the same assets and sound effects, I am team "the more the merrier" - as long as it's good. Unfortunately, Joyquarium suffers from some quality of life issues, for example you need to collect 100 King Fish to get a specific achievement, but you can't actually sort by King Fish meaning you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great alternative to chillquarium and is better in a lot of ways, but I wish I could give a neutral review. The scaping and fish choices are really great and showcase a lot of the aquarium hobby, which is something I felt chillquarium really lacked. However, a lot of the upgrades feel worthless other than food. Expensive filters and lights not providing more than 10 extra space makes them utterly worthless other than appearance, while expensive decorations do not have this issue. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game. though it needs a lot of work. sometime around when i started utilizing saltwater fish the game started to frequently crash. And now its practically unplayable and i am unable to finish the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a beautiful Aquarium game all the fishes are very pretty & realistic looking, the decorations can be resized which is super cool anybody loving aquariums should try this game i love it The more i play it the better it gets & the decorations are useful too to improve income & environment. i can decorate the tanks like a real aquarium it has backgrounds, wall paper, pre-made scenarios in case U do not want to make your own decoration layout ...its a lovely game without costing an Arm & a Leg.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A real Cool game so much to upgrade, shall keep me busy... lots of fish to collect, raise and sell, loads of cool upgrades fish furniture lol, well plants,rocks,pumps,driftwood... i really enjoy Chillquarium aswell, but theres more on here, as far. i take my hat off to both developers both cool games... God,Jesus loves you all, Knock and the door is open.. Peace Love and Fish... ps dear developer please keep adding fish DLC, thx
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the general game a lot. I liked making tanks and having a bunch of little guys in there ect. ect. But overall there were a ton of parts of the game that felt half cooked or just not finished. Especially when you get to the saltwater side of things. For as much fun as I had I also felt frustrated by the inability to do more. Overall I wouldnt recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bought on sale & runs practically perfect on steam deck. Visually stimmy, great to run on my tv and check in on
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Joyquarium is a chill idle game where you raise fish and other aquatic creatures. Once your pets grow up, they generate passive income, or you can sell them. You can spend the money on buying more expensive fish or decorations like rocks, plants, backgrounds, filters, and more. Some decorations provide bonuses, like increasing income, adding more space in the aquarium, and so on. Overall, it’s a cute and relaxing game, perfect for background play. But if you try to speed through it, it turns…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can be considered to be completely translated into the English Language. Highly recommend, especially for wallpaper mode alongside the many filters. As such, I prefer this game over chillquarium, which technically has even more content. Only things I dislike are: No UltraWide Support. Capitalization errors abound. Other than this, I greatly enjoy the game and will highly recommend it to all of my friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is another game I wish there was a neutral option for. Since I still enjoy checking in on it every now and then, I'm going to recommend it with caveats. Joyquarium is obviously a Chillquarium clone with a more realistic art style. I genuinely enjoy looking at the fish, even if they don't really do much. I also like that there is an extra freshwater tank so you can do a themed aquarium once you've finished filling your fishdex. The music is really "meh" for me. None of it really stands…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love fish and fish games, so this very much met all my hopes and dreams. definitely not a one of a kind game, but still a fun play and cute art. love that you can have it set to be a wallpaper

unlabelledView post →beautifuly drawn fish,i recognise quite a few of my own unfortunatly long passed on fish from Joyquarium! its an addictive easy to pick up/quite dificult to masterr aqarium owning game but its idle based; so theres always something to do. there is very little realism so if you are like me and very rigid and literal in thought-try to avoid questioning why there are 2+ male bettas together in the tank at any point,or why there is 60+ fish in youe first tiny tank, or why the loaches and corys are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great take on an idle game, one of the best, if not the best, out there right now. highly highly recommend if you enjoy idle style games and/or fish tanks. checking in on the tank/tanks once a day is a nice little distraction.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played way to much of this silly little fish tank game in such a short amount of time. I like that it keeps track of your earnings even while you are not logged into the game. Makes it pretty easy to progress. I wish it had a bit better of a on boarding system but for the $2 I paid for it, I am very happy with it. Even at full price this game is worth it if you like fish keeping games. Lots of fish variety and for being pixal art their markings and shapes are correct, not like some fish…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its alright to chill on but unfortunately the afk aspect takes up majority of this game. Its cute watching the fish and being able to decorate but it takes quite a bit of just afking for money to even enjoy these aspects. Side note, the game seems to use gen AI in some of the backgrounds and backdrops but doesnt disclose such.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this at 70% discount for £1.49, and I think if you're just looking for a simple relaxing aquarium game, this was pretty decent. The gameplay is simple, just open up packs of baby fish, sell them when they're grown, and unlock more fish/decor/aquariums. There are 9 freshwater fish tanks to fill, then 3 saltwater fish tanks at the end. Decorations and having a specific number of rare/epic/shiny fishes can give some bonuses to selling price/ exp/etc. But this doesn't need any particular…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a fish creature collector idler where you can buy multiple tanks, strive to get every fish, and decorate it to your liking. i like trying to make most of my tanks my money makers and then set aside a perfect tank that's a combination of all my favorites to keep on the desktop. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Joyquarium is a meditative and creatively engaging idle simulation that brings the serene world of fish-keeping to life with surprising charm and depth. Developed by Easyfun Studio, the game invites players to curate, customize, and cultivate their own digital aquariums while enjoying a relaxed, hands-off experience that is as much about aesthetic expression as it is about management. It caters equally to idle game fans, cozy gamers, and anyone seeking a stress-free, visually pleasing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →感觉这个游戏除了养鱼,造景也很好玩,怎么放都好看,希望能有其他水草,比如各种睡莲,不过既然都有白噪音了,其实也可以加个番茄钟和TODO LIST
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so relaxing to watch. Was down with a migraine over the weekend. put Joyquarium on and it relaxed me so much!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I came for the cute fish. I stayed because apparently my career path is turning innocent sea creatures into sushi. 10/10 gameplay, 0/10 ethics. Every roll I make feels like a tiny aquatic war crime—and somehow I’m having the time of my life.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. I had a ton of fun with it, Buying fishies to get fish, selling them to get better etc etc. Was really a good game loop
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →while it is another fish collection game, the upgrade mechanic is pretty cool. probably my favorite of the bunch ive been playing
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love to collect all the fish. ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is exactly what Fantasy Aquarium wishes it was. A nice little aquarium idler. You can play this one entirely AFK or actively and make tangible progress with either. Active play is quite addictive from the dopamine hits of making your numbers go up nice and quickly. My only complaint is the buffs you get from decorative stuff and tank upgrades like filters. There's no reason to buy any of either than the absolute cheapest ones available. No matter how much in-game cash you cough up…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pro: Nice aquarium-themed idle-clicker game. Fresh water fishes only with aquascaping possibility. I can see a lot of elements taken from the other aquarium games which make the gameplay basic, more or less the same with the other games. However there are things that is unique to this game. There is a real AFK-wallpaper mode so you don't have to click the game forever to progress. From pixel art perspective, I also like that this game stays using raw pixel art as the base graphics, not the one…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You get to collect cute fishes. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is really addictive, especially if you enjoy collecting things. You always want to find another Fish King and add it to your collection — time just flies by while playing! The only issue I noticed is that the crowns aren't visible on the saltwater Fish Kings. It seems to be a small bug, so I hope the developers can fix it. Definitely recommended for anyone who loves collecting!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're looking for a review on this game you've come to the wrong place, but if you're looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place. Ingredients: 1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter 2. 1/2 cup white sugar 3. 1/2 cup brown sugar 4. 1/4 cup water 5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 6. 1 pinch salt 7. 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced 8. 1 pastry for double-crust pie Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). 2. Combine butter, white sugar,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surprisingly fun little idle game. It's not an aquarium simulator, but it's got a nice exponential progression system and lots of fish to collect.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game, very pretty fish.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →best afk game. tickles my brain. have this running while you watch a show. i aways have to have something on my second screen (idk why its just how my brain works) and this is the perfect game for it, dont have to do too much just let them auto eat and sell every couple minutes. great game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great incremental aquarium game. No notes!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The aqua scaping in this one is up there. There are lots of tools to truly make a unique scape. If you want a game more on the fishkeeping side I like Tiny Aquarium.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the exact same as Chillquarium. I am not complaining. I like this version a lot more. Ehm... I feel like that is it. There is not much else going on here. No story, no nothing. And that is fine.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute low stress game, I like all the cute little fish and collecting them.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing I love this so much it's so good, I do wish there were more fish or the option to choose what area they are from but it's ok I understand most players do not mind. 10/10 I can't stop playing it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i absolutely like this game because it's relatively easy to understand and it definitely makes me want to collect all kinds of fishes haha so far so good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My first impressions weren't that great, but it turns out Joyquarium plays well. It never felt like progress was being held back by terrible RNG. All in all, it's a decent Chillquarium inspired fish collecting idler.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent idle game to play for a few days. Looks great and has great progression at the start, but has very little depth and does outstay its welcome a bit.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its super fun to collect all the different fish and i love just looking at them the style is so nice fr its like looking at those 2000s fish lamps but better XD AND they have gar!!! :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game, it's simple, doesn't need micromanaging. You just check up on it here and there and it's good. You can decorate your tank however you want, if you're not a huge decorator/builder, there's preset builds for you to use. You can customize just about everything, from the lighting, the filtration, the gravel, the background, the background on the tank. It's more of a collector's game than anything, which had me wishing we had the Steam trading card packs for this game too lol.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good detox game to do to break apart whatever you are doing for 10 mins
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good calming game to play while watching videos. However the gameplay is a tad repetitive . Overall its a relaxing game and I would recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very Relaxing and I love watching the little fishes growing up process :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! It’s super relaxing and the music is lovely. I definitely recommend it. Some reviews say it’s just a cycle of buying and selling fish, but I think that’s just the progression mechanic. It might not be perfect, but it’s not the core of the game. The real essence is admiring the fish and designing your own tank. I do hope future updates include better aquascaping assets. The texture of the stones is really bad, and the substrate is completely flat with no contours/curves.
