Hickory dickory dock. The city's deep in sleep. The clock's ticking. The sheep's bouncing. Hickory dickory dock. The girl tosses again, only with more things swarming into her head... In this Point & Click puzzle game "Insomnia", the show in the head is rolling on again. Alas, any sleep tonight... From the Steam store page

It's a very gratifying feeling and it makes me think, that all those years of development, it wasn't all for nothing 🙂 Big shout out to my team and the Indies United team (Insomnia Development)

unlabelledView post →Glad they've done good things with Logan's character, but you need more than that to justify a game purchase these days. The Spidey games are essential in so many ways, most of all the joy of traversing NYC as a web-slinger. I could never see how Insomnia was going to replicate that with Wolvie.

That tiny yet invasive voice is always telling me to check my phone, scroll through youtube, read something in r/nosleep, reminds me of a manga/anime/novel I haven't seen or read in a while, and in this case, play a game that's been sitting on your library for a few months!!! I have my own annoying little elf in my head that…

Nearly 4AM is an excellent time to play the Paris Combo game of spot the allusions. “Morphée,” gives an insouciant nod to Verlaine, Baudelaire and Greek mythology (twice!). ✨ There’s a lot of literary mischief tucked into one breezy chanson. 🤷🏻♀️ youtu.be/4-xLP2wFgTM?... #chanson

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →what a beautiful experience. every frame looks like something i’d hang on my wall. it’s weird, sad, and kind of comforting all at once. the atmosphere really pulls you in. even though it’s short, it sticks with you after. feels more like a dream than a game, in the best way possible.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →...the main thing is to leave something behind. I haven't seen such a truthful game for a long time. While playing this game, you get a warm feeling inside that you are not alone in the world with such problems. The main character suffers from insomnia. There are so many thoughts in her head, one stronger than the other, that they have taken the form of a mischievous little girl who is in dialogue with us. She reminds us of the failures of childhood, the problems of the present and the worries…

I hope you can defeat all the demons that haunt your mind, and I truly believe that you'll discover that life is good. People may be bad, but life is good. I'm sending you, wherever you are in this vast world, radiant vibrations (and also a virtual hug). Be safe and stay calm! <3

unlabelledView post →I can totally relate to this game because sometimes I just can’t sleep at night. I end up playing on my phone, which of course makes me even more awake, and my brain won’t stop racing. I start overthinking everything, like why my friend didn’t text back or whether today will be an easy day for me lol The puzzles are simple but interesting, which is perfect because my sleep-deprived brain can’t handle anything too complicated. What I love most is how emotional it feels. It’s not just about…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do it. Buy it. I feel seen. Insomnia is a cute, amazingly illustrated game about exactly what it is like to have insomnia. It may be a short experience but is perfectly paced and reflects well, it's subject matter. 10/10

unlabelledView post →If you have ever suffered through insomnia, you will relate to this game. All the things you put out of your mind during the day, all the memories and self-doubts, things you wish might have been different, all the non-affirmations you can think of, your sorrows and regrets - they all come to plague you. The one section of the game that hit me hard was the one with photos of the past. I recommend this game because it acknowledges the problem and shows a spark of light in the end of that…

unlabelledView post →This was such a wonderful game to play. As someone with insomnia, I felt like the art and sound effects created an amazing metaphor for what it can feel like when your head doesn't turn off. Wanting to sleep but you can't. The game tells such a touching story and if you too struggle with insomnia you will feel seen by this short game. It took me maybe two-three hours to beat and was especially fun at night. A great game to play if you're having an insomnia episode ;) highly recommend!!!

Vuk, a Giant instinct Barbarian. Gonna try to refine, ink, color, and properly scan this tomorrow.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a short, beautifully written game. It captures the rollercoaster of emotions you feel throughout the insomnia-ridden nights. From frustration, sadness to acceptance. It's touching seeing proper representation of something that's commonly overlooked!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Insomnia: Theater in the Head is a small but strikingly personal experience that transforms the familiar frustration of sleeplessness into an intimate, surreal journey through a restless mind. Developed and published by Perfect Day Studio, the game frames insomnia not as a simple condition, but as a stage play unfolding inside the protagonist’s head, where thoughts, worries, memories, and distractions all demand attention at once. The central premise is immediately relatable: lying awake at…

unlabelledView post →Wish I would've started this game after I purchased it... It is perfekt to play whenever experiencing insomnia. At least it is better to play than reminiscing about the good times and looking back on the embarrassment and heartbreaks.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Insomnia: Theater in the Head is a very nice game who talk about a girl who can't sleep. There's a lots of funny mini-games, the drawing designs are great, and the ambiant is cozy. For his low price, I highly recommend it!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite being a short gaming experience, it definitely nails its artistic choices and the way it explores the theme of insomnia and the mental issues that come with it, such as trauma, anxiety, and the absurdity and the repetitiveness of the routines of everyday life. It's purely art in a gaming format, where you can easily relate with it. The puzzles are quite easy, but they still manage to be fun and creative in how they implement the themes of each chapter in a really abstract and beautiful…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Insomnia is one of the most unique story driven indie titles I have ever played and quite frankly it delivers on a common phenomenon of struggling to fall asleep. It has fun puzzles and a good short story. I recommend picking it up right away at full price. The developer did quite an amazing job with this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though I don’t suffer with insomnia myself, this game represents very well what it’s like when your brain does not stop and the desperation you feel for some rest & peace.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It´s a nice cosy game with an atmosphere where you can lose your track of time. I wish there are going to be more games like that in the future. :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game short and cute, great for 100%!.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun mix between a visual novel, puzzle game, and a point & click adventure. The game does a great job of illustrating what it can be like to struggle with sleeping.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing art style!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent art, occasionally pertinent emotions, but genuine insomnia is neither this fun, nor remotely whimsical—more akin to an absolute, immense torment, doubly so so if you suffer from depression, an anxiety disorder, and numerous traumas, tearing your brain apart, hour after painstaking hour. Truth be told: if anyone on the development team behind Insomnia: Theater in the Head has actually suffered from a sleep disorder at any point in their life, I'd honestly be surprised.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful game that made me tear up a bit
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short but entertaining and fun (well, "fun" might be putting it strongly given the subject matter) about the stresses of insomnia (it's in the title, man ;-) ;-) There are several chapters where the personification of the protagonist's sleeplessness mischievously torments her with an assortment of imaginative mini-games all of which reflect the scattered and restless thoughts of someone who just can't bloody well fall asleep. Like I said, it's entertaining and it's short enough to not wear…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If they ever want to put an Ascian in the game that the whole fandom is in agreement is evil just make their name translate to "Sleep Debt" or "Insomnia" in Greek or something and people will rally. Well, maybe. There is the "omg RELATABLE" crowd. Name them "that feeling when you haven't slept".

unlabelledView post →A cute game about creative drive and the perils of trying to fall asleep after 2am. The art direction is so colorful and varied, I never knew what was coming next. I also never knew what I was supposed to be doing, but through the power of trying everything I eventually managed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and sweet. Won't solve your problems but will give your brain a hug.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unlike a lot of games of a similar style, this one really captured my attention and resonated with me. Not only the story, but the style, the music, the minigames, EVERYTHING. It truly is one of the hidden gems steam has to offer. Great for a short individual playthrough :]. It's nice and cozy, especially for when I can't SLEEP. This was the first game I got on steam!!
