unlabelledView post →Started off weekend with Inside Man and God damn if that isn’t one of my favorite heist movies. Murderer’s row of stars and NYC character actors, incredible asides like the cops trying to figure out the language their wire is picking up. Perfect pacing, movie feels unhurried but never slow.
unlabelledView post →y’all come read about Inside Man if you don’t laugh out loud at least once i’ll venmo you $100 goodmovie.substack.com/p/inside-man
unlabelledView post →I really needed something comforting to watch today (I’m okay, but … oof), and for some reason I chose INSIDE MAN. Just a damn good movie. Comforting? I mean, in that it’s good.
unlabelledView post →Went back and forth on which movie to watch with Elvis, my cinephile younger daughter, today. Only after settling on Inside Man (a nod to Dog Day Afternoon, which we watched a couple of weeks ago) did we realize how dad-coded a choice it was.

unlabelledView post →Rewatching INSIDE MAN for homework purposes. That a movie this terrific might not make my top 5 Spikes just shows to go you that he's one of the greatest American filmmakers of all time.
unlabelledView post →That movie came out when everyone was insane from COVID which is too bad because it was Spike Lee's best since Inside Man.

unlabelledView post →SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED INSIDE MAN God it still rules that the antagonist of this movie is a dude who took holocaust gold and spent the rest of his life being a generous philanthropist and the whole message with him is that no amount of good work will ever redeem that

unlabelledView post →Spike Lee’s one of the most important directors of his generation, yet also somehow incredibly under appreciated. Also, how the hell didn’t they make a sequel to Inside Man? (From @dorianlynskey.bsky.social great interview with him inews.co.uk/culture/film...)

unlabelledView post →Let today’s Spike Lee/Denzel Washington reunion news serve as a reminder that their last film, Inside Man, is an A+ heist picture with a ridiculous ensemble.
unlabelledView post →"Inside Man" It's smart, layered, and one of the best twists in a heist film. Clive Owen was ice-cold in this movie. youtu.be/4G7n7O5pel0?...
unlabelledView post →I'm probably in the minority here but as a Spike Lee aficionado I think "25th Hour" is bottom tier Lee and also has little interesting to say about 9/11 ("Inside Man" is a much more effective 9/11 film IMO)
unlabelledView post →“Inside Man,” released twenty years ago this week, plays with familiar tropes and —thanks to an A-List director, crew, and the SINGLE HOTTEST MAN WHO HAS EVER LIVED ACROSS ALL TIME & SPACE — pulled off one of the best 21st-century examples of the heist movie.
unlabelledView post →When I pulled all nighters in college I would repeatedly watch the same movie to stay awake and Inside Man was one of my go-tos. I remember thinking this was the most genius thing I had ever seen. Lol.
unlabelledView post →Rewatched Inside Man (2006). It’s a clever heist movie, stylishly told, which is usually all I want out of a movie. A pity that it seems so forgettable. I think I just expect more out of a Spike Lee film, this almost seems like it could’ve been directed by anyone. Denzel’s amazing, as per usual.
unlabelledView post →Spike Lee teaming up with Denzel, Inside Man is such a good film.

unlabelledView post →Don't know if this is a controversial opinion or not, but to me, Inside Man is both a top-3 heist movie and a top-3 Spike Lee movie.
unlabelledView post →Mississippi Masala - romance Out of Time - action w/ side of romance Deja Vu - scifi/action w/ side of romance Devil in a Blue Dress - film noir/thriller Man on Fire - just the best movie ever Inside Man - drama Pelican Brief - mystery/drama, no romance but the chemistry is ridiculous

unlabelledView post →I’m genuinly surprised that no one is mentioning Inside Man as an example of a good 2006 movie. I feel like I need to watch that one again. Great heist movie.

unlabelledView post →I realized the only Spike Lee movie I’ve seen is Inside Man, which I didn’t know was a Spike Lee movie until two minutes ago. Out of respect to the Knicks which movie of his do I start with?
unlabelledView post →In fairness spike lee already did this in “Inside Man” so I’m sure he’s already making edits in his head to do this. I bet you money that then shows up in the movie he inevitably makes about his beloved Knicks finally, finally, FINALLY winning. “KNICKS IN 5: a spike lee joint”
unlabelledView post →#Waswatching #Filmsky #Moviesky 🎬📽️🎥 25th Hour (2002) Haven’t seen this since it’s release. Absolutely superb film. I’ve seen The Inside Man recently (great). Guess I need to rewatch Do The Right Thing very soon. The holy trinity?
unlabelledView post →With an audience, I got to talk about a movie I love. I did a seminar on INSIDE MAN that sold out. Then, during my introduction of the film, people applauded when I identified myself. But what brought me the most joy? When Denzel held up that stolen diamond ring, a lady behind me yelped in surprise.

unlabelledView post →This week’s #LetterboxdFriday has the only four movies I watched this week #LastFourWatched: • Don Hertzfeldt’s Rejected is a favorite since college. • Inside Man is Spike Lee’s sleek, mainstream heist movie. • On Becoming a Guinea Fowl is 2025’s best release. • Looney Tunes lunacy #FilmSky

unlabelledView post →Inside Man really is the perfect heist movie and a perfect New York movie
unlabelledView post →Contact. Someone mentioned Inside Man which is one of my all-time faves but I'm not sure I'd call that a Jodie Foster film, more like one she's in in a supporting role.
unlabelledView post →this is almost exactly what the bad guy in the movie Inside Man says about literal nazis
unlabelledView post →Coincidentally or otherwise, Clive also appears in Spike Lee's Inside Man, the least violent heist film I've ever seen. I'm not anti-(screen)violence, but I didn't miss it. Offtopic, but it seemed a little much that the villain--not Clive's character--would turn out to be a Nazi. Now? Not so much.
unlabelledView post →So, like... ostensibly, Baby Driver is both a movie about a heist and a heist movie. Inside Man is a movie about a heist at it's core. Inception is a heist movie. So are most of the Ocean's franchise. But Ocean's 8 is both.
unlabelledView post →Rewatching the Inside Man for the first time in 20 years and man is this such a fun movie. Soo well cast.
unlabelledView post →just seeing this post makes me want to rewatch Inside Man (heist movie).
unlabelledView post →Spike Lee's "Inside Man" (2006) is more of a Holocaust movie than "Die Hard" (1988) is a Christmas movie.
