Best Picture noms for 2010, besides Inception ($300m) and Toy Story 3 ($400m), included Fincher, Aronofsky, and David O. Russell movies that all made ~$100m and a $170m Coens movie. Not suggesting the Oscars have lost a popular touch but maybe people have lost a good-movie touch.
