positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic use of VR. Played with PSVR2 via PC adapter with no issues. About 5 hours for me to get through all the levels. Mix of Old School James Bond Spy Scenarios, Escape Room game play, and puzzle game play. Dying/failing a level is typically really hilarious, but I can also see how it would be frustrating in some of the levels, where you feel pressured by a literal ticking clock, or keep messing up the sequence of events. It's part of the game's charm though. Really great humor, jokes, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never posted this outside of Tumblr, but this is (how I see) Hivemind from a game called "I Expect You To Die". It's a VR puzzle game styled around "Agent 007", and he was one of the baddies, obsessed with bees 🐝 #IEYTD
unlabelledView post →I really do not recommend this game for individuals with accessibility problems. (e.g. you don't have finer motor skills, suffer from hand tremors, or anything related to dexterity). Interactions with objects are either too sensitive or not sensitive enough with how quick you have to be with some puzzle elements. Stopped at the Submarine level due to the self-destruct dial. I'd suggest the developers to either allow us to increase the time window or remove these timers altogether. Also, I agree…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My first VR headset was the first PS VR, there weren't many good VR games on PS at the time, I've seen this one many times but I have always asumed it's one of this boring "Experiences" until few years later I've seen someone on Reddit call it a "must play" so I gave it a shot. I pirated it of course and finished it in the same day, long story short on the very same day I pirated and finished whole franchise and now I bought it and gonna 100% it. It is a true VR must play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It took many tries & changing rooms before it would work, but I #JustBeatIt I Expect You to Die: Home Sweet Home. It's a single brief scenario showing how AR can enhance the game. It's bewildering when a perspective accurate hole opens in front of your feet in your home. @polykillpodcast.bsky.social
unlabelledView post →It's cool, but very short. Aimed at seated VR only, but there's one spot in the final level where you have to stand up to press buttons. There are a couple of other obtuse puzzle steps, but other than that it's good. I'd recommend it on a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →James bond in VR. Buy it. Its fun. Masterpiece (all of them actually) 10/10 ⭐️
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Expect You To Die is a master class in puzzle games in VR. Nothing else could even compare to it dude. The style is so clean, and it's really creative about how you can die. The story is top notch, and the sequels are amazing too! Give 'em a look.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Expect You To Die is a fantastic comical and enjoyable escape room experience. The game was problem free for me. I did have many moments where I would try to do crazy things and found that the developers thought of that and added comical reactions in the game. I have also introduced this game to my mother and sister, who both are now looking forward to having fun trying this out more in depth in our next family gaming night. Perfect for any age and family fun. If you have VR and enjoy…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In my opinion, earlier VR games like I Expect You To Die feel much more polished than many more recent releases. This game has a very unique charm to it that I've not found with any other VR games so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The “I Expect You to Die” series is pretty good. Each puzzle room is about fifteen to twenty minutes. The free Nvidia carnival game is a good half hour distraction. Windlands is pretty fun. Sorry I haven’t played VR in a while.

unlabelledView post →The first I Expect You to Die is not particularly good, especially in comparison to its sequels. This is because the gameplay relies heavily on a trial-and-error mechanic that destroys the flow and pacing of the experience. Additionally, I found some of the hints to be quite vague and unclear. What I did appreciate, however, is how successfully the game utilizes VR. It offers an awesome presentation and, fortunately, isn't too long. Still I would highly recommend the second entry instead, as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The overall impression is very nice, and highly entertaining! The controls in the last two missions are somewhat finicky, but it is still possible to manage them given a couple of tries. The general presentation, and the humour are great, and it is a real joy to be immersed in this take on escape room puzzles. I particularly liked the decision to keep the character stationary, while giving a plausible explanation in every mission why that may be the case. One can still benefit somewhat from…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Expect You To Die is tons of fun. It mixes escape rooms, puzzle games, James Bond, a little action, and creates this wonderful experience. Shoot people, burn documents, do spy stuff and die... a LOT. But you know that, right? It's in the name...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the beast puzzle games that I have played and the second funnest game I've played. A must have if you got a VR headset.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Due to a broken base station, I will not be able to commit to I Expect You To Die 3 on Thursday as I planned. Instead, I'll be playing 2 short games: Play Twice, and THE IMPOSSIBLE. One is based off a Game Jam winning browser game, while the other is a Non-Euclidean with horror elements.
unlabelledView post →A VR must have for all puzzle fans. I Expect You To Die (and its 2 sequels) are so much fun. The premise (a mini escape room in which almost every mistake kills you and sets you back to the beginning) may seem annoying, but you can't stop playing. Once you figure out the game mechanisms it becomes easier (but never too easy or boring) and it's fun to finish each challenge. The game is relatively short (expect 4-5 hours at maximum of gameplay, depending on how good you are at puzzles) but worth…

unlabelledView post →I Expect You To Die is a VR game that gives you the exciting opportunity to become a highly trained secret agent whose main skill is dying in increasingly stupid ways. You are a super-spy with telekinesis, gadgets, and the ability to solve complex puzzles. Unfortunately, you also have the survival instincts of a moth near a light bulb. The game immediately throws you into ridiculous spy situations involving exploding cars, deadly lasers, poisonous gas, suspiciously convenient buttons,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This feels so quaint to look at in the modern day. As a early vr game, it feels like a lot of the novelty is just existing in vr, but I dont think thats a bad thing. Overall it's a short but sweet little vr escape room game. The theming and atmosphere are really what stand out here. The music is great, and its funny without the humor being overbearing. It feels a bit dated by todays standards, but Its still a fun couple of hours, and i'd recommend it for that.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now I like this game, I've seen a Youtuber play it so easy right? No, do not expect a edited video to have not cut out hours of failed attempts to be easy. This game is filled with time based puzzles so if your like me and crumble under pressure from time based puzzles YOU WILL FAIL. Anyone with problems with fine motor skills like turning a dial fast and having fast reaction time is CRUCIAL to make it past the game. I quit at the Submarine mission cause the window of time you get is too…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is hands down the best VR game that I have ever played. I bought it on a huge offer that came with all 3 games for around £16 and I wasn't sure if I'd like it at first because most VR games that I play involve more moving around and less puzzles, however, this game did not disappoint. Each level is exciting and has great puzzles that make you feel like a spy after completing them. The gameplay is fun and interesting and it is surprisingly immersive. Additionally, this game adds in some…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Expect You To Die - Virtual Reality Review I Expect You To Die is a love letter to all things Spy and Bond themed going on high stake missions to the end of the world and of course being a secret agent. Every single level is all hand crafted to be some of the best VR experiences and gameplay ever made for VR games , this game single handedly made me want to buy a VR and experience the wild wacky adventure of Phenoix and the Handler. On top of that the intro song , and visuals are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic game that's honestly worth it for the intro credits alone, lots of fun with other people watching and figuring it out cooperatively.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's good. shame there is only 5 hours worth of gameplay :(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun game. Good puzzles and the storyline and gags are corny, but great. Roger Moore meets Mr Bean! I am now half way through the second one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So this is my first venture into VR. First game purchase, first experience. What a neat concept so far. I played the first mission, and was blown away by the interactivity. I know I’m real late to the party, but I guess I was wrong about VR just being a gimmick. No, it’s not!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Terminator 1 of VR games. It's good in its own right, but really you're playing it just to get to the sequels

unlabelledView post →A Fisherman’s Tale is on sale for $2. It’s a short-ish puzzle adventure, but it’s fantastic. Haven’t played the sequel yet. Pistol Whip is guns, but rhythm action. Also really good. I Expect You to Die, Cubism and Red Matter, all fun uses of VR (all years old, though).
unlabelledView post →So many hilarious ways to die, each funnier than the last. Some genuinely good puzzles, a bit of comedy, and plenty of nods to old spy movies. Pretty much has it all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the greatest VR classics of all time. I’ve played this on quest, and really enjoyed it. I found myself wanting to play it again after losing my Facebook account, and it was definitely worth it. Paying for the game twice, just to replay something you’ve done is worth it. That’s how good this game is. It runs on relatively low end hardware, it’s not very resource intensive. If you have never played this game before, or are just getting into VR, you should definitely check this game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Man, if there ever was a game I wish had VR support... Seriously the general layout of each scene in that trailer gives me serious I Expect You To Die vibes, and that is to this day one of my all-time favorites.
unlabelledView post →A true classic for vr
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a puzzle VR game it is fine. It isn't that hard and while some levels might be a bit tad annoying (Ehem ehem train and office) it is still nice. You can figure out most things by yourself just by looking around and some of the dialogues are good. The only problem is that, as a puzzle game, it has no replayability. You know what is going to happen and how to solve it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cool sit down vr game, kinda sus of the narrator tho.
