60 of 174 · most liked firstanother on the go neptunia series i enjoyed so far. Not so shabby in term of grinding, story was interesting, and such. game doesnt take that long to play / beat but atleast the story can be bit feel lengthy but still enjoyable regardless. but the game play mechanic is kinda monotone, unlike on previous hyperdimension series where you need to travel to other area to get items or such. but still recommended from my side. you will never notice *but*

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7) Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed a simple, fun musou game. REALLY simple, but also really short, so I don’t feel like it overstayed its welcome aside from some optional content. I love the new characters too. def could have used more story, but it’s good for some button mashy fun

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another Neptunia game finished!! Well, still need to grind tower, lily rank for a few more achievements but I will get there eventually. This one is about 15 hours for story, 1 hour for gauntlet and another 8 hours of other grinding. So, it’s definitely the shortest neptunia game yet. We been steadily getting about 1-2 neptunia games per year and it seems idea factory is working with multiple partners to create neptunia game in just about every genre. This one is button mashing hack and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My first hack and slash I enjoyed playing the game what I didn't enjoy was the problematic writing the game goes out of its way to tell you that the characters are underage and really don't like their clothes ripping off but then the game does it anyway. you can skip the dialog and mash the Ingame cutscenes and just play the game as I did what an unpleasant waste of the writer's time this game was.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can read other reviews for this game, so I'll just make it simple. It is worth it to collect Hyperdimension Neptunia and other Compile Heart games within the steam even if you have completed all of them in other platforms ^^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A modest title, yet in a way it captures Neptunia’s pleasant simplicity much better than many later bloated spin-offs. The gameplay is a casual variation of musou games where you fight waves of largely brainless enemies, and the difficulty is just enough to make you feel powerful while still staying engaging (at least if you ignore the level suggestions and keep rotating the characters, which I’d recommend doing). The clothes stripping is certainly quite in-your-face (even if the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed. "What if Senran Kagura met Neptunia?". The flow of this game is SO good, and the partner mechanic from Deep Crimson being here is perfect. Mindless for sure, but the stuff you can pull here feels so fun. 9/10.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The biggest pro is the gameplay itself. It's a lot of fun. The action is great, and literally EVERYTHING is voice acted. Finally! The first nep game where EVERYTHING is voice acted! However. The core gameplay loop is atrocious. There are 10 characters and you are required to level them all. The combat is based on a combo system and every character has 2 completely different sets of combos. One for normal forms, and one for HDD forms. You cannot pick a favored playstyle and stick with it. You…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed is a non-canon spin-off hack and slash game that features a bunch of the Neptunia characters. I went into the game with mild expectations, but the game ended up being more fun than I anticipated. The combat is pretty smooth, and there is always something satisfying about ripping through hoards of mobs using your combos. The same enemies from the series return, but in beat-em-up combat form. Similar to the base Neptunia games, there is an SP system…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't let the reviews fool you. MegaTagmension blanc is less enjoyable that this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Speaking as a fan of Musou games and beat 'em ups: Even by this genre's standards, this game is incredibly repetitive and mind-numbing. I recommend making a bee-line for the item that starts you with 100% EXE Gauge, then plowing through all the enemies with Purple Heart.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just an usual Hack 'n' Slash with our favorite girls creek. The "Costume Break" mechanic is useful by all means (filling up the EXE Gauge would take years without the Costume Break boost) and definitely goes along pretty well with the Neptunia atmosphere, but all those lewd animations were a little beyond the edge. Didn't much appreciated the choice but heh, the game experience overall is fine! Maybe the better spin-off of the main series, definitely liked Action Unleashed more than Blanc vs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably one of the better games that are similar to Senran Kagura. It's got that fun Neptunia banter and is enjoyable to play, but the combat isn't stellar, so know what you're buying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →insanely mindless albiet enjoyable warriors type game with anime boobs. i skipped all the dialogue and cutscenes but the gameplay is still pretty good (even if most of it is something i wouldn't want anyone looking at while im playing.) recommended on heavy sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun hack 'n slash. The gameplay is pretty simple, the objective is usually to beat a lot of enemies. Admittedly, the feedback is lacking – most attacks don’t have the punch or weight, the characters are inconsistent in that regard – Dengekiko and Famitsu’s attacks sound like they have the weight, but Uni’s gun sounds like it shoots air instead of bullets. What the game lacks in oomph, it makes up with spectacle – seeing enemies fly all sorts of ways, dozens of damage numbers and some flashy…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A DRESS BREAK IN A NEPTUNIA GAME ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) it's about time. So far I really love this Neptunia game it gives me Senran Kagura vibes specially with the dress break and everything. 10 out of 10 lol love it my only issue is the rooster is disappointing was hoping to have IF and Compa in this specially Compa wanna see her dress break really bad. Already three hours in have no regrets getting this game if anything this game way better that Neptunia x Senran Kagura Ninja Wars since that game is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Forget the turn-based strategy and the tactical menu-fiddling; Action Unleashed takes the goddesses of Gamindustri and drops them into a high-octane blender of hack-and-slash chaos. This is Neptune’s answer to Dynasty Warriors, and it is exactly as loud, flashy, and ridiculous as you’d expect. I spent my morning playing as Blanc, wielding a giant hammer that feels like it has the weight of a small planet behind it. Unlike the main RPGs, the focus here is on pure, visceral crowd control. You…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed is a deliberately lightweight spin-off that trades the series’ usual turn-based RPG structure for a mission-based hack-and-slash brawler. It’s fast, colorful, and packed with the self-aware Neptunia humor, but it’s also clearly built around repetition and fanservice first, depth second. The core loop is simple: pick a character, jump into a small arena-like stage, wipe out waves of enemies, and collect loot before moving to the next mission. Combat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is basically Neptunia X Senran Kagura before the actual crossover. Literally if you love SK like I do, I can't recomend this enough. It's fairly low budget and not too complex, but it has a very great feel to it, and it feels a ton of fun to play. Also characterization is more akin to Re;Birth 1, so if you wanted more of that, get here asap.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is just bite-sized Dynasty Warriors but with fan service. Its pretty fun even for how small of a game it is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best of the Tamsoft made Neptunia games and the shortcomings present even in the later titles such as bad AI can be overlooked due to the amount of enemies present in screen. On this one gameplay actually feels fast and hitting enemies feels satisfying. It does get repetitive specially with quests such as "kill 1500 enemies", the story is there, I kinda just ignored because I don't like Famitsu and Dengekiko. However if you just want a casual smash button fest this one is the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is terrible. Do not buy it. You will feel dirty after playing it, and no amount of showering can end that feeling. If you like any of these characters beyond their looks, do not even consider it. Not even as a morbid curiosity. Just don't. Decent button-mashing gameplay can do nothing to save it. Spend $5~15 dollars elsewhere.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Story (7/10) The story of this game is difficult to understand. It seems like games made by Tamsoft don't really prioritize interesting story aspects. The story of this game starts with Famitsu and Dengekiko who want to make exclusive interviews with CPUs and their candidates. From here I still understand the story scheme. But what does creating a magazine news article have to do with killing monsters? okay in several aspects of the story, such as wanting to make news about how the CPU is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty much the only Hyperdimension game i care and love! I never been a fan of this kind of JRPG to be honest but Action Unleash is pretty much for me! It's a Musou-ish game with lots of Fan service :3 It was similar with Senran Kagura but with Minimal Ecchi. Killing those f-ing jelly jam enemies with the qoute of "OVER!" when you kill them is always fun to do!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Don't think i ever got this bored by playing a game, and im being serious Never mind the fact that the game either softlocks on the loading screen, forcing me to Alt+F4 out of it, never mind the fact that the game crashes a lot, never mind the fact that the entire story is a cringe inducing Fanservice infested nightmare, even for Neptunia standards, never mind the fact that the game feels really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dated, never mind the fact that there is NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AUTO-SAVE! and Never mind the fact…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating 6/10 Intro After fully completing this game, I had this feeling of uncertainty if I should recommend it. Since there were lots of ups and downs throughout it. But then I'm reminded, that there are other games that are just not enjoyable in every aspect. Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed is not one of those games by any means. Just be ready for an MMORPG-like experience though, seeing as it took me 50+ hours to get everything (if you want to get everything that is).…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun. Wish this game had an open world. The combat is extremely simple. Hack and slash a million enemies that look like pastel marshmallows. The story feels like it ended too soon, but this is one game in a long franchise. It's something fun to chill with when listening to something else in the background as well. The X factor is that carefree vibe.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →another day another 100% on a nep game. Overall i think it's an alright game, the gameplay is pretty fun, the humour as usual is peak and this game has quite a lot of good music as well but MAN, the lily grind is absolutely COOKED in this game holy freaking ♥♥♥♥. It took me like around 10 HOURS of playing the same stage over and over and over and over to max it all out 😭 i was genuinely borderline about to go mental from the grind but i got it done in the end thanks to my soft spot for this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed, developed by Idea Factory, Compile Heart, and Tamsoft and published by Idea Factory International, is one of the earliest attempts to reinterpret the Neptunia series through a fully action-oriented lens. Moving away from its usual turn-based RPG systems, it embraces a hack-and-slash structure that prioritizes speed, accessibility, and spectacle. The result is a spin-off that feels energetic and approachable, though it inevitably sacrifices some of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty basic hack and slash game. Kinda just turned my brain off playing this, does get quite repetitive fast. Mainly continued playing for the NepNep lore, but it is a spin-off game so there is not as much development compared to the mainline games. There is also a costume break mechanic similar to the Senran Kagura games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed is a side game in the Neptunia series that ditches turn-based battles for hack-and-slash action. You pick two characters before each mission and switch between them mid-fight while taking out waves of enemies. It’s easy to pick up, the controls respond well, and combat feels smooth, especially if you're using a controller (keyboard is still doable). You get eight playable characters, each with their own combat style, but honestly, once you try a few…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got all of the trophies for this game on the Vita twice. Once with someone else's profile and a second time after I deleted it and used my own profile. So I guess I am maybe kind of an expert on this game? This game is far superior to Blanc vs Zombies. The controls are simpler and more intuitive. The only thing that is worse is the resolution, but that can be fixed by a patch or something. I am a huge Neptune game fan and I have all of the games that were released out west (some on…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are a hardcore Neptunia series fan, go for it. Otherwise, perhaps buy this when it's on discount. - This series is quite an old one, plus they do not have a high budget, so the graphics is meh - 100% achievement grinding is INSANELY tedious due to the Lily Rank system - It's probably better to play with a controller than a keyboard - I would choose 4GO over this
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surprisingly challenging and frenetic one vs a thousand (or hundred) gameplay where the enemies are moderately aggressive. A good fun game to get on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Level up all the girls and hack away at all the various enemies and zones. Pretty straight forward game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While (almost) all of the Neptunia series games have been made available on Steam, why there are a bunch of them still missing on the Japanese store? When are we getting Japanese support? What is IF thinking?

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not very familiar with Neptunia Series, but I played Senran kagura before, which they are same Publisher/Developer, I guess? And there's a crossover between them called "Neptunia X Senran Kagura", I think, so it happens in the same universe? CMIIW. I saw the game price is really cheap, & the most important thing, it has only 2 DLCs. (I did research on other Neptunia games & their DLCs, and this one is not too much DLC). It's gonna be short experience I think, & worth the money. Pros :…
