unlabelledView post →The Sam Neill tributes will rightly focus on his achievements in Jurassic Park, The Piano, Hunt For the Wilderpeople etc. But he also gave what I think are three of the greatest horror movie performances of all time: Possession (1981), In The Mouth Of Madness (1994) and Event Horizon (1997) .
unlabelledView post →It also mentions “Hunt for the Wilderpeople,” a delightful Taika Waititi film that’s better than just about every Hollywood blockbuster he’s since made.
unlabelledView post →Kiwi icon. RIP. My favourite film of his? "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" - well worth a watch if you've never seen it.
unlabelledView post →HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE is a gem of a film, anchored by Sam Neill. Add it to your watch (or rewatch) list.
unlabelledView post →He was really great in “HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE.” I mean, he was great in everything, but I especially loved him in this movie.

It's the perfect movie to remember Sam Neill by. 5 out of 5. film-authority.com/2026/08/12/h...
unlabelledView post →Beloved actor Sam Neill (1947-2026) has died. Adored him in so many films, esp. "Jurassic Park", "The Dish", "Hunt for the Wilderpeople". In "Event Horizon" set in 2047, he asked for this 👇 Australian flag design, saying he thought by then Australia would celebrate its Indigenous history.

This is just me quickly going through my own movie collection. unlabelledView post →Ahh Sam Neill 😔 Cannot stress the impact that man’s career had on my love for film. I can still remember seeing him in Jurassic Park on the big screen. Then later Event Horizon, Mouth of Madness, Hunt for the Wilderpeople and so many others. He brought something to everything and seemed so kind 💔

Just some of my favourite performances by him - Damien all grown up in The Omen 3, Dr Alan Grant in Jurassic Park, the utterly charming The Dish and Hunt For The Wilderpeople. Oh - and My Brilliant Career as well - loved that film RIP Sam ❤️

unlabelledView post →I think I have to go with Hunt For the Wilderpeople. One of Taika Waititi's masterpiece, it's such a heartwarming film that's carried by the chemistry between Julian Dennison and Sam Neill. It's probably the best performance Sam Neill ever delivered in a film. Cannot recommend this movie enough. 💙

unlabelledView post →The first Sam Neill film I remember wasn’t particularly great but it made an impression: Omen 3. He was a hell of a devil. The last was Hunt for the Wilderpeople, a much better showcase for his gruff charm and ability to work well with child actors. He will be missed.
