It's such a super fun game! I feel giggly when I solve a room It's on sale for 2.99 right now! store.steampowered.com/app/383270/H...

Overall Rating - Seriously Flawed ★★☆☆☆ First Impressions I tried installing Hue almost ten years ago, but had some quirk with the platform I tried at the time, and never fixed it. Having fairly high expectations that this would be a fun puzzle game, I figured I was long overdue for giving this game a proper try. After…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Premise is fun, the artstyle is good and the gameplay is passable but I feel it drags on for too long with little variation. I was honestly expecting more clever implementations of the colour system. Then there is no save function so the dev expects you to do it all in one run, which would be fine for a 1-hour title but because it dragged on for so long the last level really felt like a chore. Personally I found the story pretty lousy as well but that's totally subjective. Whilst near the end…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had fun playing this game, but I do think that it overstays its welcome. It has a cute little story where a mysterious stranger is leaving Hue messages as he repairs the colour wheel and brings colour back to the world. The puzzle mechanics feel unique at the start, but scale poorly in difficulty. The colour wheel is fun, but the puzzles become stale and repetitive quickly. By the last 2 levels (which, narrative-wise, felt a bit bloaty, honestly; we already got the twist, and they did not…

unlabelledView post →Hue is an alright, if a bit basic puzzle game where you use a color changing wheel to change the background color in the world and by doing that making things in that same color dissapear (or appear). It's a good mechanic for a puzzle game, but it also doesn't really change that much throughout the game apart from a few things beeing added to later levels like pipes that spew out a specific color that can color object under it and bouncing platforms that change color when you jump on them. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty simple, but fun 2D platforming game about colours and... hues. Change and mix the colours of the world around you to create platforms and solve puzzles in order to progress. It's not very complex and the visuals are very basic, but it's a nice experience for a puzzle platformer game. It's also short, but it has had some great sale prices, so it's worth it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am really mixed on this game. On one hand it has good puzzles but it overstayed its welcome. The first 30min are fun. Then come a bunch of easy similar puzzles for like 2h. Then at the end there are a bunch of new mechanics which makes it interesting again. The story itself has a few interesting thoughts but is largely boring. The worst part (for me) was that you had to go through each region again and find those hidden collectibles metroidvania style for the last achievement. I wouldnt…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice platformer puzzle game that has you use your ability to change colors in order to manipulate the world and dodge objects. Nice balance between dexterity puzzles and brainy puzzles. Completed 100% in around 7 hours. Rating: 7.5/10! Some positive thoughts: - The game keeps feeling fresh by introducing new mechanics and increases difficulty using these every step. - Liked how time slows down while changing color when having to do precision jumps. - It starts off quite slow and initial…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →puzzle game with unique mechanics. Pretty intriguing until you go for the collectibles. I collected all the beakers to 100% the game and it does nothing. no lore drop, they're just there for an achievement. You also can't fast travel to levels so if you so dearly want to 100% you have to play the entire game again, which would be okay if this wasn't a puzzle game where the fun lies in the initial intellectual challenge. Additionally, the levels are pretty slow and dying means restarting.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Gremlin is napping, so I'm outside listening to the post-game show on sports-talk radio, and wow. Monken dusting off old Hue Jackson lines ("I have to check the tape"), and Watson saying how no one else works harder than him, but the Jags scored more and we didn't, wow, brilliant observation. 💩

unlabelledView post →Really enjoyed this one! The beautiful art style and emotional atmosphere reminded me a lot of GRIS, which I absolutely loved. A short but charming experience with some fun puzzles. Definitely worth playing!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am bored out of my mind. The game is a chore to play. The puzzles aren't hard, they're just tedious. Push box, swap colour, push another box. The other reviewers seem to have experienced the same.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hue is a well executed, fun little game. You can't really replay it, but the puzzles are pretty good. If you want a chill game especially for portable devices, get it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if u want to get all the achievements, u need to replay all the levels, there are always some ridiculous beakers hidden in unexpected places. XD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is cute! The puzzles are sufficiently challenging and the art style is beautiful. The story is touching and interesting to move through. I recommend this game to any indie-game enjoyer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hue is a thoughtfully designed puzzle-platformer that builds its entire identity around a single, elegant idea and then explores that idea with patience and creativity. Developed by Fiddlesticks Games and published by Curve Games, the game introduces players to a stark, monochrome world where color itself is the key to progress. You step into the role of a young boy searching for his missing mother, and while the premise is simple, it provides a quiet emotional anchor for a journey that is far…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun puzzle game, highly recommend! Make sure to go and find all the hidden beakersss
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →chill puzzle game thats not too easy - not too hard. concept is quite unique and interesting, must try. the story is alright, it had some nice dialogues that can make you think, though overall it just adds flavour to the game and creates a way to deliver a satisfying ending.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is so nice! The puzzles are fun and become more and more complex over time. The playful usage of colors in combination with the artstyle & those voicelines or better said philosophical impulses makes the whole thing a remarkable experience. A steal on sale :) 08/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →lovely story, cute graphics, some (ocasionally) frustrating puzzles, but all in all, a nice game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adore this game. The puzzles are fun, the visuals are vibrant, and the sound design and voice acting are great, too. It's really fun for a fairly short game. 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring game that has sections where you need to waste time walking through empty rooms so that the game can force you to listen to the entirety of a poor voice actress's reading of incredibly pretentious dialogue
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting puzzles and really short and sweet story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another soothing game is called I Love Hue. You rearrange color chips to gradually transform from one color to another. As you get into the more complicated arrays, a stylus helps because the color chips get too small for fingers (at least my fingers! 😂)
unlabelledView post →An iconic and very underrated game, unlike any other. Its concept is so creative, I loved it so much.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some of the most fun and clever puzzles I have seen in a video game. What an absolute peak.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You "unlock" doors by making the background the same as the doors colour, walk over a bridge by doing the oposite. A new mechanic I hadn't seen before, it was very entertaining. The puzzles are good, intruiging on how to complete them. The story is also nice, you unlock it bit by bit when finding colours.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked the color mechanic, the overall tests and puzzles. I didn't like the long hallways with nothing but read. They were "ok" the first time you pass them because some part of the history is there, when you are looking for the lost beakers (or the beakers you cant get the first round) they are very annoying. I still was invested enough to try to get all the beakers so... dont mind much my bad comment. It was a cool game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short, well crafted game that teaches troubleshooting skills to proceed. This would be a good first video game. I enjoyed the simple mechanics of this game. It was refreshing to have minimal dialog and focus on game design and presentation.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably about $5–$10 of value for me. The puzzles are simple, but challenging enough that they don’t become boring. I actually struggled more with the platforming than the puzzles, especially because of the punishing one-hit deaths that reset the whole puzzle. That made some sections feel more frustrating than satisfying. Overall it’s decent if you like light puzzle-platformers, but I’d personally only recommend it on a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I simply love this game! Hue is a simple idea executed as a well-crafted puzzle-platformer. Shifting the background colour makes objects of that same colour vanish, creating a pleasing gaming mechanic for puzzle lovers. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring and repetetive (played on other platform)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game became way too complicated from what started as a simple one. Cant enjoy cause life is already puzzling and hard enough and a game doesnt have to, considering there is no accessibility option (atleast anything useful) that would stop players from quitting the game. Eg. no hints or voices or any guides within game. or invincibility options.

At first glance, it might look like a simple puzzle-platformer, but the moment you start playing, it reveals a surprisingly deep and thoughtful experience built around a brilliant core idea.
