unlabelledView post →Well. After being thoroughly offended by this movie we walked out on last night, we decided to play it safe and stick to things made with probity and decorum. Tonight’s horror film for October is HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES
unlabelledView post →I held off on revisiting HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES because it's a movie I'm inextricably close to for too many reasons to list here. I was worried my enjoyment of it would, even slightly, deteriorate after so long. Nah, still my favorite Rob Zombie flick, though THE LORDS OF SALEM is due a rewatch.

unlabelledView post →I promised myself this year I would finally watch Rob Zombie's trilogy. So... Tonight's film is HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES (2002), a horror film from the United States.
unlabelledView post →I watched the Schwarzenegger film End of Days (1999) on VHS last night. The tape was released 2000, and it opens with a Coming Soon To Theatres teaser for Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses, when it was intended as a 2001 Universal movie. The teaser is a 50 second scene not in the movie that exists.

unlabelledView post →House of 1000 Corpses might secretly be my favorite movie. A really gonzo little spookhouse, some amazing freako performances. The sort of movie you make when you’re not sure if you’ll ever get to do another one. Big love letter to horror but you can also show it to whoever cause it’s fun
unlabelledView post →🟠like you can draw a direct line from Old Dark House to House of 1000 Corpses and that line runs right through this movie but the fact they can't go overboard with the blood and gore makes it all the better, what's weird is that mostly it's not trying to be funny OR scary? just off-putting?
unlabelledView post →First Up, House of 1000 Corpses 🐰🍿 #halloween #movie
unlabelledView post →Last year, I talked about what makes for a good Halloween movie (holiday, not the franchise, which incidentally the director of this film also directed entries for and that's the last I'll say about that) and House of 1000 Corpses has those qualities in spades.
