60 of 180 · most liked first10 GOG games for you to claim this Pride Month. Happy Pride Month! I got amazon prime trial for a month last week, along with amazon games. Here are some GOG titles that I do not want to claim for myself. Just comment the game name you want, and send me a DM with the game name again, and I will give you a code that you can enter [here](https://www.gog.com/redeem). I'll make sure to keep the list updated as they are claimed. And yes, these will remain in your library forever, even after my…
unlabelledView post →As it has been said in the other negative reviews, this game is designed to be played in cooperative mode with 3 other players. If you play solo, you control just one sprite, so no swat tactics, no nothing, just a 2D shoot them up, with a gun icon as character.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In the game you are ment to shout at guys with guns to make them drop their guns. However if they dont then you need to stun them.If they are far you cant do that so when you shoot at someone who is aiming at you and wont drop their gun you lose the mission because they werent "hostile" althought they have a red circle and they dont drop their guns. Most of the time they need to shoot you in order for the kill to be "justified" but the problem is if you get shot twice you pretty much crawl making…

Welcome to the SWAT team, young officer... where you absolutely cannot gun down criminals who have a gun pointed at you unless they shoot first lol This is a topdown, SWAT-based game with missions, and no storyline (again). Hot Brass' gameplay mechanics are actually great, you can subdue criminals by shouting at them then cuffing them, making the job…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I honestly thought this would be where I could guide a team of four swat members to do take downs and clear rooms. This isn't the case. Single player means 1 swat unit for your entire game. Unless you have a group of people to play with, I would say avoid this one. It would be like playing swat 4 and leaving your team at the front door. Fun maybe for a single mission, but not something you want to play a whole game doing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not single player friendly :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super underrated game, not enough reviews and I'm shocked they're not more positive. This game is honestly incredible, with an insane amount of thought put into so many details. I've beaten the whole game with friends and we had a blast. I highly recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doorkickers but worse in every way
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting but not in solo, the game is too unbalanced
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun so far, not very realistic though. I shot an unarmed civilian and didn't even get reassigned to a different department.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is currently in the Humble Choice for August 2023, this is part of my coverage of the bundle. If you are interested in the game and it's before September 5th, 2022, consider picking up the game as part of the current monthly bundle. SWAT tactics and hostage situations. In Hot Brass, you’re a member of the police and have to deal with escalating situations. Players will have to bust in, take down hostiles, control the situation, and get everyone out alive. Each level has a set of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely amazing. I love, and study CQB, and this is the kind of swat top down thing that I love. Only feedback: The main story missions NEED multiple people to do effectively. Making it easier to look for a group online... I am very often scared to take out any sort of utility due to the fear of someone exiting the doorway im breaching.. also, the restrictions placed on actions can be... too restrictive, for example: I had just breached a corner fed room with two barricaded shooters, I was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can get by solo for a bit, but eventually you're dealing with 20 minute missions with no checkpoints. All the gear is locked behind side objectives that are also balanced around multiplayer play, so you won't get new options to approach situations.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not well balanced for solo play. Some missions are too hard and will take you more than 100 tries to finish them!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are better games out there with a similar style to this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine Hotline Miami, but slower, with a lot of not really that fun mechanics and not even character sprites, just circles with guns. I get the concept gameplay-wise, could've been fun, but it just doesn't work for me with this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ infuriating, I have had to do the same mission about 20 times because I either die in one shot or tase or shoot someone 1 millisecond before the game thinks I should then I fail the mission and have to restart from the very beginning. Other than that the game is fine
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lot more fun than I though it would be, I got it in a random humble bundle monthly deal at some point and finally played it when a friend was visiting, really quite fun in co-op, a bit silly that one of the best strategies is to just rush into a room yelling at people repeatedly to get down and getting into their face, tazing them, then going to the next and doing the same though, but was fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love games like this and this one has some nice features but I can't recommend it. I'm a single player-guy and this game is way unbalanced for it. Clearly designed for playing multiplayer where people can cover different area of the map at the same time. In solo you don't have any partners and some of the objectives are nigh impossible to control solo. Better stick with Doorkickers if you're into these kind of games. 5/10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's actually one of the better SWAT4-like games out there that no-one knows about.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In theory, good, in practice, NO. First, it's up to 4 players, so it feels like the game is built around that, 2nd mission immediately is a big area with enemies in close proximity to one another which is annoying if you are solo. Second, because you are a walking avatar thingy, it's not easy to target people next to one another, I had two hostiles come to me and I subdued one, but the other was hard because they were so close to one another and ended up killing me. Also, like really, how…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A "double stacked" M1911 with 14 rounds and Glock 17 with 10 rounds! Oh boy, where to start with this game. Game also needs help with localization, the Australian English terms mixed with American voice overs made things all the more confusing. Mission wants you to clear the 1st Floor, the Aussie 1st Floor that is! Nit picks aside, the game has real potential but is not quite there yet. There were many times a level failed and it felt like we did nothing wrong. Shouting at a hostile target,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hot Brass is quick to get into hot water. It does not automatically check whether your keyboard is azerty or qwerty, and gosh, those loading times are long. It purports to occupy a space between Doorkickers and Swat, but fails to attain either's fortes. A key difference is that you're directing a single operator. Yep, not only is the department's budget so pitiful as to allowing only for a single operator (sometimes facing a 40+ headcount!), but the eye-watering insurance premium the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought I was going to be cop but instead I was circle!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stealth/tactical mechanics lack variety and missions are far too easy to fail for how long they are. You die in a couple shots, but you fail the mission if you hit an enemy waving a gun at you before they shoot even if their compatriots in the same room have already fired upon you, meaning armed encounters feel unrealistic and unfair. There's no variety in mechanics so you end up doing the same tedious door checking and room clearing over and over, which is especially frustrating since any…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →'Twas a great game when it came out but now all online functionality has been removed. Not even direct connection. This game is HARD if not impossible without other's to keep your corners in check . Do not purchase!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Door Kickers, but you are the Operator... This is what I always wanted. Found this gem on accident and it instantly turned into one of my favorite games. Especially the sound design is what struck me while playing Hot Brass and the movement mechanics are diverse and well executed. Seeing that the game got its last update in 2021 made me a bit sad, but I hope it will inspire more games like this! Needless to say, I ragequit more than ever before. Hot Brass is really hot stuff! I give it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love it super fun and challenging and shout out to Oneyplays for bring it to my attention.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 minimalist real time top down shooter claims single player, but its really made for co-op of some kind if your going in solo, your gonna have a bad time + local co-op, i have yet to try it tho
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hot Brass is an intriguing game that restricts its ability to keep players engaged. The SWAT fantasy is well transferred into mechanics but the overall look of the game makes it hard to fully enjoy. The missions are designed for multiple approaches but different ways of engaging with the title do not deliver a variety of thrills or failures. The focus on real-time action is probably the biggest drawback because it undermines the importance of planning. While the pressure and tension work well…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Greetings Gamers, i just found this gem on 29.05.2025, within 2 days 30H of gameplay. + simple and fun Gameplay + artstyle (personal preference) + good soundtrack + good sfx + lvl design ~ more lvls for arcade would be cool all in all an entertaining mini top down shooter. Thx, for that hidden gem. kiss and hugs from vienna
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a really simple game that just feels really good to play. It's basically a top down version of swat 4 except with extra objectives and more environmental mechanics. You can do stuff like turning off the power or blowing up walls. Get this with a few friends and go for 100% completion
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hot Brass is a somewhat genuine attempt to make SWAT4, but with much less real Police procedure, and with 2D graphics you might expect from an Adobe Flash game instead of, well, graphics remotely resembling a video game from the 21st century. Much like SWAT4, there's a focus on co-op team play which would be welcome if the game was backed by high production values... which it isn't. But, you say, come on, the game is surely only priced very low, like $1, what's your problem? Haha, no, see,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a great COOP, its simple and fun to play with your friends. We were able to get all achievements. Overall it was a fun game, and worth the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Trial and Error Simulator 2021
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Questionable choices make this game not that fun to play. E.g. icons instead of sprites which looks goofy, male voice when playing gender of female, having to wait for enemy to fire at you with a gun before you can shoot them or you fail the mission. There is also no a.i. swat members so you are going in solo which would never happen in the field. 90% of games will end with an enemy with a gun, typically surrounded by hostages killing you or you killing them before they went to red hostile…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →That's actually a pretty fun game, but it needs to be played with friends to get truly interesting! Varied missions, varied weapons (Lethal and non-lethal), varied scenarios and different situational approaches available. Loading maps takes some seconds even on high-end PCs. Nothing to dislike, game seems pretty solid and stable. It does support Online Play, LAN Play and Direct IP connection (Developers, I salute you and thank you truly!)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite a strong focus on co-op, the game can be actually quite enjoayble in solo and all mission objectives, challenges and unlocks can be absolutely unlocked and completed solo. There are some that will require a bit of patience and more attempts than usual, but definitely not "this game is completely unbalanced and unplayable solo". Even that mission with a bomb on multifloored garage that is currently mentioned in the negative "most helpful review" section. I was playing this one not so…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, I didn't expect much from this game, but I was wrong. The game features a variety of weapons, skills, locations, and missions, requiring a unique approach to each level. I'd also like to point out the AI; even when an enemy has surrendered, they can still change their mind and kill you, which is quite well implemented. There's also a storyline in the form of a tutorial, and I liked that if you're wounded, you lose speed and blood stains are visible. There were some minor bugs where…

Can't wait for it to release!) - Hypersonic (Upcoming F-ZERO like…
unlabelledView post →Pretty decent SWAT 4-like on a budget. The lack of AI teammates isn't an insurmountable obstacle and the game is pretty fun if a little too easy at times. My only major complaint aside from difficulty is the somewhat odd system for unlocking equipment, but it mostly works. It has a lot of problems, but you can do a lot worse for 15 bucks.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Minimalist appearance, but tight gameplay. You need to think tactically and have good reflexes if you want to show this game who is boss. It is in terms of quality of gameplay better than police stories, so I can definitely recommend it. It can be quite difficult though, especially when alone. Enemies are accurate and bullets hurt. Take advantage of stealth mechanics, tactics and police gadgets and you'll be fine.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cant create or see any online sessions, seems like its not supported for coop anymore
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Игра крутая, жаль что разрабы забросили
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not for people who want to rush in and attack people on sight - in this game you want to be tactical, slow, and precise.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cautious recommendation. The idea is good and the execution doesn't lack much but there's a key issue in that the most engaging this game was is after already beating it. Having ranged non lethal options really takes advantage of the strongest part of the game, the middle ground of aggression with restraint. A lot of levels felt like that simply wasn't a realistic option when all you had was a hand taser, with the ranged options it becomes possible and at least in my opinion, a lot more fun…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. Downloaded to play with some friends and it's provided a good couple of weekends of fun. Offers a nice mix of difficulty and chill with interesting levels and ig challenges. Some levels require a little coordination so there's plenty of space to drive each other insane. There are a few issues with vision where the odd enemy will disappear randomly behind half cover, but on the whole part it's works like a charm. As much as I love this game, I would recommend waiting till it goes…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →100% in 11 hrs, good short fun. consistently challenging and different abilities allow for a wide range in approaches to enjoy. Would reccomend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cant even pass the first mission. I kept shouting at a guy to put his gun down and he wouldn't. I proceeded to taze him and then the game fails the mission for tazing a cooperating suspect. WTF? This has to be bugged right? Am I just supposed to let him shoot me? I tried many times but either he kills me or I taze him and fail. Flashbangs arent doing it either.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't like this game. But it's a step in the right direction. I've found SWAT 4 to be extremely clunky and essentially unplayable without the expansion which added forceful arrest. The idea was fantastic though. I like tactical, methodical action and would like to see more of it. This game has a bunch of good ideas and does some of them well. Unfortunately, similar to SWAT 4, it's a game where if you shoot a criminal that pulls a firearm on you, you lose. Unlike SWAT 4, presentation and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hostile suspect suddenly becomes non-hostile as you shwack'em, instantly failling you. Or as you're tapping the taser all over them, bobbing and weaving while they keep trying to shoot you point blank. Again, you're doing this for the same reason, hold down the taser a nanosecond too long - MISSION FAILED. "We'll get them next time" You can imagine how it goes when this happens with the last tango on a longer scenario. Until addressed, a hard pass. Otherwise, ignoring equipment being locked…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Died on my first round of the game then the suspect started calling me a ♥♥♥♥♥ 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game reminded me a lot of when I was a kid and pretended each toy gun I played with had a unique person holding it with their own personalities. The artwork and artstyle really reinforces this for me, which gives it a simplistic but cozy feel. The gameplay itself is an exercise on restraint and patience (in a good way), where you need to make quick, split second decisions where the wrong choice leads to having to start over. It's not for everyone, but I personally enjoyed it quite a lot.…
