unlabelledView post →“Hitman 2016… let's say it was a $100 million game. Hitman 2 was maybe $60 million. Hitman 3 was $20 million. And Hitman 3 was the highest Metacritic.” www.thegamebusiness.com/p/how-hitman...
unlabelledView post →I'm so happy IO Interactive is getting all this new attention from the new James Bond game. They've been one of my favorite developers since Hitman 2 and Freedom Fighters back in the PS2/Xbox days. They deserve all the love and I hope this new game takes the studio to another level.
unlabelledView post →Hitman 2016 is an incredible game. Hitman 2 is even better. Hitman 3 is less ambitious in level scope but more story focused and multi layered. The fact you can play all three games in one wrapper with mechanics and unlocks and suits shared across them all is fantastic and such a player first move.
unlabelledView post →I love Hitman but I’ve never had a game make it so intentionally confusing to buy it. I still have no idea how to just buy Hitman 2 or 3 on Steam without accidentally buying some completely unrelated DLC instead
unlabelledView post →Super Mario 3 was my first (top of my list of most finely-aged nes game ever) But Hitman 2: Silent Assassin was the catalyst for my life-long love of stealth video games (splinter cell also but Hitman came first). I'll love that bald man forever
unlabelledView post →they should make a game where you play as Death in Final Destination. (Playing HITMAN 2, which is amazing. The way levels feel like clockwork puzzles you get to play with and break over your knee is so satisfying and fun.)
unlabelledView post →All of the kills in Hitman (2016) is countered by the antagonists coming in during Hitman 2 (2018) to clean up the chaos you started in the first game.
unlabelledView post →I can't stop re-playing "The Last Resort" from Hitman 2. Something about this level just -works- for me. If I ever streamed a video game... it'd be me re-playing this level for the 80th time, finding new and unique ways to kill billionaire tech bro pricks on a tropical island in the Maldives.

unlabelledView post →the image of the american suburb as a facade that exists to maintain the existence of a single aging war criminal is as unsubtle as the rest of Hitman 2 but unlike the awful Narcos-ass level earlier in the game, this one mostly works. enough attention is paid to the mundanity and the absurdity both
unlabelledView post →this is probably the best level in Hitman 2 so far, in ways that reflect what that game is good at. giving extra goals to gather intel is annoying but explores 47's split priorities very well: his life is getting more complicated now he's not just following orders blindly.
unlabelledView post →Name a video game you have 100+ hours of gameplay in: Halo 3 Halo the Master Chief Collection Metroid Fusion Deus Ex HR Halo Infinite Mass Effect LE Hitman 2 ...and according to Steam, Dota 2?????
unlabelledView post →6/7 ⏳ Not live yet: Xbox Live still sends empty achievement groups for every game we tested, including Dead by Daylight, Killer Instinct and HITMAN 2. The feature is behind a flag. xct.live/wiki?p=mythic
unlabelledView post →new Hitman players are not fucking ready for Hitman 2 the original. you cannot jog, you must WALK and even if you walk really slowly there's good chances the guards will still shoot your ass dead for seemingly no reason. great game.
unlabelledView post →I still call Hitman Silent Assassin "Hitman 2" and that game is ancient
unlabelledView post →The next Hitman game, whenever it is, could *really* do with a fast forward mechanic built into the game’s foundations. Especially if they ever intend to do maps on the scale of Hitman 2 again

We'll be finishing the Hitman 2 levels. twitch.tv/ephonya Next Tuesday I'll be collabing with @lesbiannextdoor.bsky.social for a game of Civ6, and I might throw some Foundation in on Monday, but otherwise I'll be on a little break as I work on stuff!
unlabelledView post →Aesthetics beats fidelity any day. Hitman 2 uses the technical limitations to present a parodied pastiche of the world and it's a stronger game for it.
unlabelledView post →i need to go to more privately owned used game stores there was this great one in maryland that i went to a few times really laid back people, i wanted to get a copy of Hitman: Codename 47 and they had a PC copy of Hitman 2: Silent Assassin as well but it didn't have a price sticker

unlabelledView post →Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (PS2) 🕶️ It's a great game with especially good story and gameplay. Although the PS2 version may suffer from finicky controls and load-in, that does not hinder all of the game's aspects and new ideas. It's also a big improvement over the (already good) first game. 8.5/10 ✅
unlabelledView post →I had this exact disc and it’s the reason why I fell in love with both Sly Cooper and Hitman. I played the Hitman 2 demo on this probably 300 times because I was 10 and my parents would’ve never let me buy the full game.
unlabelledView post →Hitman: World of Assassination is indeed a great game, but also a cautionary tale about how not to do things. The Hitman remake had a weird episodic structure. Hitman 2 had confusing and expensive DLC. And Hitman 3 (now WoA) was retooled as a freemium experience that evolved into what it is now.

Exo Rally Championship Best new thing I touched in 2024 (still just a demo) 6. Nuclear Option I wish I made this game myself. It's so good. 7. Outer Wilds Will finish in 2025
unlabelledView post →Hitman 2 SA blew my mind, back when I played it, way back in the day. Such an awesome game. That was my 1st Hitman game.
unlabelledView post →Hitman: World of Assassination The trilogy of Hitman games combined make up perhaps the greatest stealth game of all time. I am treating the whole trilogy as one package here, but if I were to choose one, it would be Hitman 2.
unlabelledView post →There was actually a fem agent planned for Hitman 2, as part of an unfortunately scrapped co-op mode. The only remnant of her lies in the co-op version of the sniper missions in that game. It would've been pretty cool too, there was going to be unique disguises and strategies for each character
unlabelledView post →The last time I can truly say I was hyped for a game was after seeing footage of Hitman 2. I had an entire dream about it, game's good, dream game though, oh man, something else. I imagine that's worse when there's Nothing like it.
unlabelledView post →Well a really old game would be the original Prince of Persia on DOS for me to be honest. I poorly expressed myself. And yes I’m able to switch modes on the Pro3, but still it doesn’t work. Same with Hitman 2, to give another example.
unlabelledView post →Hitman 2 has perhaps the crouchiest crouch in all of video games. Part of me feels like they made it this way to justify slowest crouch walk in the world, since people can hear you walking in this game.
unlabelledView post →Codename 47 does not have a visible rating system, the Silent Assassin shit started with Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. Codename 47 just politely asks you to not kill civilians, everything else is fair game and determines what you can buy for the next level. stealth be damned
unlabelledView post →Yeag. Ok. *To be fair,* Hitman 3 was the *only* game in the series called Hitman 3, and Hitman was the only game in the series simply called Hitman. Hitman 2, however, there are two of them. That’s where things got weird.
unlabelledView post →I never even finished Codename 47, and it gets rougher to go back to every year hahaha Hitman 2 Silent Assassin feels like where the series truly starts and they remade a lot of the first game in Contracts, so I feel like they know that too hahaha
unlabelledView post →Why in the world does ioi not let you buy Hitman 2 or 3 separately, but lets you do it for the first game? (It's arguably the weakest in the modern trilogy) Like, do a Halo: MCC, and just let you buy whatever game you want and it just let's you play it. Thank god we have Steam.
unlabelledView post →Game 27: Hitman 2 I liked the first one so much I jumped right into Hitman 2! Better than the first, even more options and creativity packed into more expansive levels plus the story is much better. 10 hours
unlabelledView post →So I got #Hitman2 working on #SteamDeck with Peacock. The instructions online are specifically for Hitman 3 and as a consequence the start script fails. Though it doesn't actually tell you this. You have to copy stuff over manually to the Hitman 2 directory. Then it'll work.

unlabelledView post →Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is game where Agent 47 goes through an existential void period where he confesses to a priest about his sins, then divine intervention happens where God himself comes in to set off a chain of events to make him discover his true purpose - assassinating people.
unlabelledView post →Next finish: Hitman 2 (replay) Mechanically builds a bit on the previous game, with some new twists on the missions, but narratively it rushes along and ends up feeling a bit awkward. Still a great game, but the storytelling is clumsy.
unlabelledView post →Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is one of those games that's so satisfying when everything clicks together, but it's a game that's custom designed to torment you and try your patience, lol.
unlabelledView post →Stop supporting "Triple A" publishers. They are destroying the game industry you claim to love so much. Hoping for a quick rebound, sir. I loved Hitman 2. Absolutely favorite.
unlabelledView post →While suspicion meter is a strictly vital mechanic for Hitman, it is so fucking bad in Hitman 2 that in some ways it makes it worse than the original game. I'm exiting a room where I'm allowed to be, walking into a room where I'm allowed to be, facing away from the guard and getting insta spotted.

unlabelledView post →Early Game spoilers: The Iceland mission was a good intro (reminded me strongly of Hitman 2's tutorial mission). The stealth was extremely forgiving, but it felt extremely scripted. There was a moment where it looked like I could climb down to the ground and approach the base, but it wouldn't let me
unlabelledView post →I also loved Hitman 2 btw. Not without its criticisms but great game. I replayed that first mission so many times but always ended up going ham with a shotgun at some point.
