[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38888018-United-Critics/] Please follow United Critics for quality reviews Help Will Come Tomorrow Review Good things: This is a survival game where you have to gather and manage your resources and build your camp. There are random events and also resources available on the map I think are placed randomly so it gives you some rogue-like feel. Also there are 9 possible characters and each of them can have random skills but I also think some of them…

An interesting concept, but god knows, this game is flawed in so many ways. First of all, game designers didn't know where to stop, adding too many mechanics. The tutorial is overwhelming. But even if you figure everything out, some of them doesn't have much sense, narrative- or gameplay-wise. First of all, the thing with relationship between the survivors. Most of the dialogues are just don't make sense at all and totally unpredictable. Also, I don't think it matters if you a communist or a…

Game has been out since 2020, isn't getting updates anymore. Still has some bugs. Various portions of activities are ridiculous, for which I'll give an example. You're going to make a delicious roast, requires 4 meat. You have 3 brand new fresh meat, and one meat that's a day old. You can't make it, because all 4 meat aren't at the same stage of freshness. If they were all a day old, or all fresh, you could make the stew. Super frustrating. You can't mix and match materials to build things. You…

Fortunately I bought this game in a bundle with "Dead in Vinland" which I would recommend instead. Generally I love the despair-management games, since they challenge Player's intellect and resolve. Not this one. First let's get the good parts outta way to begin with: 1. Any cultural and/or historical lore in games is good and welcome; 2. Attention to details always pays off. Character condition and clothing are visualized. 3. Trait discovery feature is authentic. Standing applause here. 4.…

Pretty bare bones in all aspects, but I kinda liked the simple crafting and survival. The screenshots on the store page are misleading; mechanically you get one screen for your base, plus the map which has events but no other locations. The other screens are just transitional. Each survivor has x amount of energy to spend for crafting or resting etc, or you can send them onto the map to gather resources, and maybe have an encounter or two. At EOD you will have a short, rather stilted…

This is barely playable for an English-speaking audience. It's more or less a text adventure combined with a crafting system, but the translation is so poor that the events are unintelligible. It's very hard to accomplish objectives when you don't know how. Probably a decent game if you can understand what's going on but I'd recommend This War of Mine or even Dead in Bermuda far before this.

Rather shallow game. I hoped for something like "This War of Mine", but it`s not even close as good as TWoM. This game mainly consists of three screens: Your Camp, the small map, and camp talk at night. That`s it. You start in the Camp where you can upgrade five facilities, feed your people and craft things. Exploring the map is quite boring ... You may encounter wild animals which you can catch but they are only shown as graphics with some text to it. Otherwise you just go to different…

Do not read into the comments "oh, this game is too hard, mechanics are too random..." Yes, there are random factors, but that's just survival. Sometimes you do everything right, but the deck is stacked against you - just like in life. The game is fun, inventive and especially if you buy it on a sale for low cost it's an absolute steal. It offers three different scenarios and different characters, so you can do several play-throughs and it will still feel fresh. I do agree with those that…

For a game that is primarily text-based and about reading dialogue and backstory about the characters, it would have been worth it to put a little more effort into localization so that the translation into English was not so obviously broken. It's a shame, I suspect it's a much better game in the original language.

I had a much smoother experience in this game after I learned the key mechanisms. Before that, the game really frustrated me. I have played two similar games called Siege Survival: Gloria Victis and This War of Mine. Each game took me about three tries to get the hang of it. But I found this game frustrating as a first timer. I did about eight tries and still could not survive. When I was about to be fed up, I searched for walkthrough videos on the internet, and one of them clearly explained…

My feeling about this game are very mixed. But I will start with this. It is good and I (mostly-kinda) enjoyed playing it. In fact, I even found myself coming back to it just so I could get a victory. I've had (mainly) three runs with it. Two were on the normal difficulty (whose name I don't remember), and one where I won was on the hard difficulty - resident of siberia. Help will come tomorrow has many interesting mechanics. Its action based survival gameplay is quite intriguing. It does…

The game is quite addictive (as any other resource management game in my opnion), but honestly too many things annoyed me: 1) the game takes place in the Russian wilderness and features Russian characters, but the Russian writing/translation is quite poor (I had to switch to English). 2) the discussions that take place at night are somewhat weird, you can't always follow the logic / unclear how answers relate to what's been said. 3) it is not possible to combine different resources of the same…

Less fun version of Dead in Vineland. Irritatingly random events that as a player you cannot control or plan for, but which will drastically alter the game. Plus, very long, boring dialogues that can't easily be skipped. All the player really does is assign daily tasks for the characters, which gets old very quickly.

I don't think Help Will Come Ever... not fun knowing bad dice rolls will inevitably pick off your crew of survivors. Even will food, shelter, water, weapons - the game seems to ignore them arbitrarily and kill off your crew unpredictably. This is on the easiest difficulty setting, too!

If it were cheaper, I'd recommend it (and almost did). I got it on clearance for $4 and am happy with the purchase. But I wouldn't be if it had been more than $10. The content is just too limited to justify the full price. "This War of Mine," which people have compared this game to, is priced the same, $20. But there is way more content in that game. This game is more similar to the phone app game, "Survive," where the gameplay is just making choices, resource management, and crafting, and…

Probably the best quality game I've ever played. Devs of all games are always lazy. They save money and do hack jobs to one degree or another. But here I'm shocked at how believable are conversations and stories of these characters. And what surprisingly rare (not massively well-known) topics they discuss. The shooting of workers at the gold mines. That's Okay, if this game would be created in Russia. But how the hell can the Poles know about this shooting? This is a not mass-well-known…

random thing that lives in my head rent-free: This underrated survival game, Help Will Come Tomorrow, takes place in the Russian Revolution. Players say it had “lazy translation” due to French usage in dialog. …Russia borrowed a LOT from the French. The characters talk like my older relatives did.

It's a tentative recommend, because there are some things wrong with this game. The interface doesn't always work right or intuitively (mixing different piles of mushrooms with different expiration dates to make a soup from them is something I still haven't managed despite having beaten the game twice, including on the hardest difficulty). The dialogue after a few playthroughs is 80% stuff you already know. The difficulty can change WILDLY due to RNG. The realism of some survival, crafting and…

So I sort of liked this game, but between the RNG, and the fact the mechanics and descriptions lead you in two different directions, I am not recommending it. As an example of the latter, (maybe this is a minor spoiler) although as I see it, it's misleading in the first place. It might seem minor, but there is one instruction in the game you should straight up ignore "It's a blizzard, it would be suicide to leave the camp" It is literally required for you to ignore this to complete the…

It feels a little bit unbalanced as it swings quite heavily from "I have nothing, will I survive till tomorrow?" into "I have everything, nothing can hurt me and I woulld like some resource automation or at least not need to do so many chores.", but besides that, it is a nice game with a nice story about interesting people.

Bought this on sale and very happy with the amount of gameplay I've had out of it, although I would say it's a relatively "shallow" game compared to some other survival/resource management games I've played. I would still recommend it, with the caveat that the English can be a little wonky, the UI is a little clunky, and as other reviews have touched on, there are some odd game mechanic choices (like not being able to combine mushrooms that have different expiration dates). I love games like this, and it is a good game. Unfortunately, it is too buggy. Sometimes you try to proceed to the next day, but you cannot. Your camp members just sit around the fire with nothing to say, and no option to continue appears. The main quest needed to actually finish the game can be buggy too. If someone dies while holding a particular plot item during exploration, tough luck. You cannot craft the item again, and it just stays out in the wild with no option to pick it up if you…

"Help Will Come Tomorrow" is a challenging little game that is actually pretty decent. Developed by a Polish indie studio, it was surprising how well the developers knew and understood Russia's history and mannerisms. Like, you don't get that from history books or movies from that era. You must be in the know. I guessed they had Russians helping or advising them. Pretty well done. Arguing about Hegelian dialectics around a campfire in a Siberian blizzard while you starve. Magnificent! Definitely has some limitations (game gives you a fairly short deadline, dialogue translation is clumsy though never unintelligible, any amount of character animation would've been nice) but overall I applaud it as a very unique and engaging title.

Great survival game you play during the revolution after the fall tzar Nicholas II, at the time when the Bolshevik Party took control of Russia. You scrap whatever you can to survive as you go through different event. The atmosphere is gloomy in a good way, the characters are well described and properly clothed for that period of time. The game is very similar to "Dead In Vinland" as a result great to have in your collection!

This game is a bit brutal and unforgiving, but not in the fun way, in the RNG way, but the somewhat interesting characters kind of make up for it.
