60 of 114 · most liked firstAt the current state HellSlave 2 can be extremely fun, but lacks a lot of basic QOL, which are: - no key rebinding - movement with mouse is bad - only 2 volume options (I like the soundtrack but VFX as juicy as they are, are extremely loud when stacked and you can either change all volume or music volume) - general ui problems like no 'loot all' option - escape doesn't open menu for some reason - no manual saves/no way to turn off autosave - no explanation how dodge, misses and hits work. You…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hell yeah, it's finally here! A great game and a developer worth backing, loved the previous game as well. Oh, and of course, ♥♥♥♥ AI slop, support real creatives.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved the first Hellslave. A LOT. It was one of those games that completely clicked with me, so when Hellslave 2 came out, I bought it both for myself and as a gift for someone else. I had been waiting for this game for a long time. There are things here that I genuinely love, and I want to start with those, because I don't think this game is bad because the developer didn't care. Quite the opposite - I can see an enormous amount of work, research and experimentation behind it. The good…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really solid successor to the original Hellslave - if you liked it, you'll like this. Though if you're curious about the quality I think the atmosphere of Hellslave 1 was grittier and darker, with a lot more morally grey tones, while Hellslave 2 has a bigger feeling world with a more standard RPG encounter system (rather than a threat system like the original). The music is also fairly reminiscent of Diablo 2 to me. The skill system feels more layered than the original, the equipment system…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Damn good game. Cool Art. Good Builds - went with a poison based mage out of the gates and he's already yoked!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ever since I got first Hellslave on steam for free and got hopelessly hooked on it for few days I've been waiting for the second one. Now it's here and I'm happy to say it's improvement in pretty much every aspect and I've been loving it so far. It's great game made by tiny developer with no AI and is absolutely worth the price and deserving of far more clout than it gets. Some major improvements from the first game: - More tactical and fun combat with more options - Bigger and better maps…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Target Audience: Dungeon Crawling RPG Veterans who want something to dig their teeth into Summary: Hellslave 2 is a game that I want to make clear from the get go is impressive from a solo developer based on whats presented here. There's a lot to take in, and when the game is hitting on all cylinders, you have an RPG that can be very interesting in build/combat interactions while providing a challenge. The dark storyline and interesting interpretation of demons and the Key of Solomon…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The demo felt very promising but once you get past the area that was available in the demo the game turns into a grind. Your power growth slows down, enemies become damage sponges, locations become long gauntlets of repetitive trash mob fights where the biggest challenge is not surviving but having the patience to sit through them. The only reason I was able to finish the game is because I muted it and watched YouTube videos on my second monitor while going through the trash mobs, and that's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Combining the setting of Diablo, the design of Diablo, the monetization of... not-Diablo, with a neat turn-based combat system works incredibly well. A few odd development choices here and there but otherwise, a great new title with more brutal and bloody cutscenes than a Tarantino movie. My short video review can be seen right here: https://youtu.be/NQ2rGSKbjPk?si=M0N33ZvDjthT8uVj
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Compared to the first chapter, I found the equipment a bit disappointing. We had so many pieces to choose from, but in my experience, I always saw the same ones; for example, I got the same unique item ten times. Also, the fact that you can't farm the bosses for their unique pieces really saddens me. Part of the fun, for me, was just farming them and hoping to get their special drop. The main story is also a bit boring, with too much dialogue, and honestly, I'm not interested. We already have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was hoping it would be better than the first. But ultimately its the same experience. After about 4 fights I became so op I was killing every group of enemies before they could attack. Gold felt worthless, and combat was pointless.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As with all games from this author, the artwork, lore and general mood of the game world is top notch. As I have played The Bilnd Prophet and Hellslave I, I kind of knew what I was in for here. But the story still caught me off guard with some of the twists and turns along the way, and the fact that it is set way way before the first game on the timeline. Maybe I have finally gotten decent at playing this kind of game or it was a bit easier than the previous one. Be as it may with that, it was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Works perfectly on Steamdeck except for some minor issues navigating the UI. I'm really enjoying it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →might be one of the best games released the past couple of years the audio-visual-presentation is already pretty much a perfect score you can see the color-pallette and the art-style in the trailers and screen-shots but what realy brings this game to the next level is how sneaky and yet impactfull 3D-effects and lighting are used the ambience is unreal also while the setting seemingly is (again) more centered around demons and hell, frankly there is a lot of cosmic horror and Lovecraft to be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you liked Hellslave 1, you obviously will like this. If you like turn-based RPGs this is also up your alley. It's got charm and heart, with hand drawn visuals and that desire to loot and create some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane build that slaughters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really good RPG with interesting qualities and a very unique and beautiful art style and universe. Completely recommmend this game and the first one
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Never played the first game, but boy is this game enjoyable to play with. Follow with HellSlave mechanic with the time line combat, there are three job arc you can choose from, Assasin/warrior/Mage together with 5 demonic linage, you basically got tons of playstyle to tackle the game monster. Some of the side quests indication might hard to find as there no pinpoint/highlight. Overall its a good game to play around with. First 2Hour Walkthrough YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/mhzMo9h9yFA…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love RPG? [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/39973073/]Make sure to Follow my Curator PageHellSlave II: Judgment Of The Archon is exactly the kind of sequel I was hoping for. It takes the grim atmosphere and satisfying progression of the original and builds upon them with deeper combat, improved exploration. I liked the presence of side quests. The difficulty of battles fluctuates greatly depending on your equipment. On the downside, I would have liked a more engaging story and more…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For me i love rpg and based turn combat, this game has an epic and amazing fight overall, but the story and the plot bit too plain and rushing.. imo no hate at all
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun iteration on the first game. The dev is very helpful and active, responding to user feedback well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game, hoping for more content
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't normally review games but thought I would review HellSlave since the dev is very active in his discord listening to feedback and planning changes etc which I appreciate. The game is pretty fun and chill, kind of the pace of game I was looking for. Three different difficulties to choose from. Dev is actively working to balance and improve things. Can't ask for much more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good fun, good builds, good unique content. Art is neat as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only about ~2 hours in so far. Pros: - The art is awesome, reminds me of Darkest Dungeon. - Moving around the world feels smooth. - Seems like there's a lot of different builds you can try out, and with the abillity to have three separate loadouts(?), you can try more than one! - Combat feels rewarding, and the loot feels balanced. Cons: - The tutorial feels off. Not sure what it is about it, but it just feels off. - A couple of the animations feel lacklustre, like picking gold up off the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hellslave 2 I discovered the first game when it was free. I never heard of it before but i am very glad i found Hellslave. What me instantly sucked into the game was the visuals, dark, dirty, bloody, the soundeffects and the itemization. Normaly i very dislike turnbased games, but this one is the opposite. The skills active and passive with the itemization works very well and is interesting. Visuals 10/10 Soundeffects 10/10 Music 10/10 Loot…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic game so far! Great mix of ARPG gear and a unique turn-based combat style. No needless fluff, very nice art, punchy sound effect and an intriguing world and story!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great sequel! Cool story in a great setting. Lots of strategies, and possibilities. I couldnt put it down till I was finished.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very good game vfm
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent time killer. Definitely yes. Some builds are awesome.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stylish, original, innovative, fast paced, interesting, deep and fun. Think turn based Diablo II but so much more than just that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game isnt bad but it feels very unfinished. Itemization so far is one of the biggest gripes, its just the same garbage on every item....shield at start of fight, aoe at start of fight, etc. Hundreds of items and they're almost identical. Combat doesnt feel very balanced but its not horrible either. Game can be fun just dont expect much.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not better than hellslave I, but just as good. Beautiful hand drawn graphics, great storyline, fun overall. Wouldn't be a waste of money if you like this kind of rpg.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very enjoyable dungeon crawler with a lot of build variety.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best dungeon crawler of 2026. Loved every second of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Я в восторге!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A wonderful sequel to the awesome first game. A solid product from start to finish, huge thanks to the developers!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A phenomenally art directed game made with love with a very addictive loop of finding equipment and equiping the abilities off the equipment to chain attacks and counters like crazy. To say it's addictive is putting it lightly. I don't think I have ever played a game that makes you feel so much like a badass as Hellslave II does (I have played Hellslave I) . I don't know how Ars Goetia does it but the battle system here is amazing, and it's clear they've put a lot of thought behind it. Builds…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is really fun. If you like turn based RPGs with loot and skill progression, you will like this game. There are 2 classes with 3 subclasses each which have simliar skills but with different selection layout. You can also select 1 of 6 gods to spec into which are nice and can enhance your selected playstyle. There are still some QoL features that are missing like shared stash space between characters, more ways to farm gold in the endless mode, a way to unsocket the gems from gear, etc..…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i beat the first boss now with struggles and stomps inbetween and i can conclude for now: the game is great, if you liked hs1 youll like this one too tho i do miss the crafting. mastering the combat and understanding how your character works feels very rewarding, the art is amazing and the sound desgin is great, however the cons: there is a LOT of loot now, most of it surprisingly in high rarity which makes it so that anything below yellow tear dosent even get looked at and my char is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Won the game on hard difficulty as a poison build. Probably my favourite laptop game I've played since darkest dungeon. Great story and just as grim and dark as I wanted (I didn't realise I wanted a game where my allies were literally flayed; but here we are). 10/10 does not overstay its welcome. Once the build is completed, the game ends before it gets boring and you want to turn it into an autobattler.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game. The story is easy to follow, even if you haven't played the first game. Combat is intuitive, and you feel powerful without making you feel invincible. very good, 5 stars.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has been an absolute blast so far, i saw the store page and was intrigued and decided to give it a shot and haven't regretted a second of it. The dev is an absolute angel, found myself running into a bug and reached out and it took them less than a day to get to me and assist me. Its good to see when devs take pride in their games and love their community. I highly recommend this game, time will fly by once you get started
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's start with the downsides of the game. There is some jank. There are translation issues. Some of the dialog is cheesy or sometimes off the mark or feel. There are some balance issues as well. With that said, let's get to the good stuff. The art is fantastic, the gameplay systems are neat and interesting to build around. It slowly adds elements to tweak your build as you play at a slow but satisfying pace. All in all it is fun. It is worth your time and money. It would likely run on a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have mixed feelings on this game I love the art and the general gameplay. I also like the inclusion of the equipped weapons on the frame of the screen ala a fps game. The overall plot is interesting enough I dislike the game not having resolution options. Nearly a dealbreaker I also am not a fan of the missed attack system. Dodges, blocks, parries and misses happen far too often and make the game feel like it's playing itself I recommend playing the demo. If you like it and can cope with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the result of years of hard work by one very competent person who has extraordinary drawing skills for all aspects and small details As shown, I played 50 hours in 5 days, 10 hours a day I finished it all with great enjoyment, this is one of the games with hand-drawn that is incredibly amazing... Thank you for everything sir Hraban, may Archon bless ye and a fluency purification at the Purgatory...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just as great as the first needs some bugs fixed
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haters gonna hate, but it only refills my rage bar. Superb artwork. Entertaining combat and character growth. Lore surprisingly deep. Music is decent. Recommend hard difficulty for veterans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A unique blend of Slay the Spire and Diablo. This game is promising and I crushed it in about 14 straight hours. I played full mage glass cannon and loved it, but there are some major problems with this game that they will hopefully fix with patching. Pros: - Unique game design with high levels of customization for your character - The gameplay is fluid and I like how you can actually heal your life/mana by fighting - Items and spells are fun and easy to understand. Not too much clutter.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A perfectly fine game that of course has minor bugs seeing as the game was only recently released, but none that significantly affect the game in a negative way, at least for my playthrough. The solo dev is also actively working on fixing the issues. Minor issues aside, the gameplay is simple and fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun "turn-based diablo" so far. Looks great and the story is good enough that I'm not skipping every dialog screen. I've tried out a few builds and it seems like magic is quite a bit stronger. My poison/bleed mage nukes everything but bosses before they even get a turn on normal. Probably only 50% though the story so melee might catch up at endgame.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →still has a few kinks to fix but if you liked the first game you'll definitely like this one
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →alr knew what i was agreeing to when i decided to play on the release day. for now, game is verrrrrry buggy. but that will get fixed, hopefully. good things: oh yeah, making builds is just as fun as in the 1st. made myself a dot build on bleed and poison and basically went through the whole game with the strategy "deal 10k+ damage before enemies can even make a move", fun stuff. pretty much only got owned by Asmodeus' servants with their resist to dots (fitting. esp since i got her as a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →> Harog Imkol > this attack cannot miss, be dodged, parried or blocked > misses 4-5 times in a row between 3 combats > mfw ----------- Edit The patch also missed :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Dodge the protagonist's first attack, - Get hit by the double-attack, - Attack the protagonist, - Get parried, - Get counter-attacked, - Get double-counter-attacked, - Perish. Absolute hellish. ✋👹🤚
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has such a wonderful retro vibe, just like the classic games I loved as a kid. Playing it now brings back so much nostalgia. It’s super addictive. Every combat drops new gear, which keeps each fight fun and full of nice surprises. I hope developers can improve the controls in future updates. Adding better button feedback and more interactivity would elevate the whole experience. Definitely worth playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am absolutely in love with this game, this is so much more than I expected. The artistic effort put into this is insane, I love the gritty art its beautiful. The world building and game mechanics are cool as well and I can't wait to play more of this and explore this world! Devs, I hope you read this you made something absolutely astonishing here.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is pretty good, but I feel like its inferior to the first one in most aspects.
