Hell of a Summer
When 24-year-old Jason Hochberg arrives for counsellor weekend at his beloved Camp Pineway, his biggest problem is feeling out of touch with his teenage co-workers. Little does he know; a masked killer has murdered camp owners John and Kathy and is preparing to strike again. From TMDB

And with young actors who weren’t acting like they were in a wannabe Wes Anderson movie (which sounds way cooler than it actually is). 🤷♀️

unlabelledView post →HELL OF A SUMMER: Finn Wolfhard’s horror feature debut is occasionally amusing but mostly empty as, with Billy Bryk, he makes a film that's one part FRIDAY THE 13th, another WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER, yet is neither funny nor scary enough to leave a mark 📽️ My review: www.thewrap.com/hell-of-a-su...

Pretty sure now I don’t like Finn Wolfhard, but less sure if it’s a mild distaste or full Justin Long ick. Liked the(a) final girl though, another surprise

unlabelledView post →#CurrentlyWatching HELL OF A SUMMER Bland uninspired unfocused unfunny slasher spoof. No suspense. No scares. No satire. No actual jokes. Lots of off-screen kills. Very little red stuff. The sole saving grace of the movie is Fred Hechinger who is delightfully charming as our hero Counselor
