60 of 132 · most liked firstHalloween Kills is a film all about the dangers of mob mentality and how evil can spread and violence breeds violence. Halloween Ends ends with the entire town giving Michael Myers’ corpse a police escort so they can put him in a junkyard metal shredder. I love this stupid trilogy so much
unlabelledView post →I understand it’s not for everyone, but I do have fun every time I watch this movie. There’s plenty of killing. “Evil dies tonight” is ridiculous but iconic. and Andi Matichak is a great horror lead. #filmsky #horror My ★★★★ review of Halloween Kills on @letterboxd: boxd.it/bk4b4z

unlabelledView post →Speaking of movies… What’s the most hyped movie to you that everyone said was great but once you watched it was trash? For me: Alien Resurrection Titanic Halloween Kills/Halloween Ends
unlabelledView post →Thank you. I am baffled by people who defend that movie and will proudly die on that hill. After watching HALLOWEEN KILLS and HALLOWEEN II (2009) and realizing some of the scenes and kills are almost identical, I decided DGG wishes he was Rob Zombie.
unlabelledView post →A better movie than either David Gordon Green's Halloween or Halloween Kills (Not Halloween Ends though, that's a banger). At one point Busta Rhymes karate kicks Michael Myers out of a window, IIRC
unlabelledView post →One down! Next up is the unrated version of HALLOWEEN KILLS, the movie that asks “what if you did HALLOWEEN II over again as a chaotic mess where everyone yells a lot and like 80 people die.” I cannot dislike it. It is high trash

unlabelledView post →This is a really good prompt, and it’s making me realize just how long it’s been since I got properly angry at a movie, especially a horror movie. The top ones off the top of my head are the Wicker Man remake, one of the Rob Zombie Halloweens, Halloween Kills, or maybe Brightburn.
unlabelledView post →He does not star in the movie, any more than Peter Cushing was in Rogue One or Donald Pleasance was in Halloween Kills. Helping to launder this lie is despicable.
unlabelledView post →What movie never bores you, no matter how many times you’ve seen it? Halloween Kills (2021)
unlabelledView post →Halloween Kills feels more like an episode of a tv series than a movie, picking right up after the last movie ended and finishing with an obvious segue into the final instalment. The movie definitely suffers for having Laurie Stroud in hospital with a stomach wound the whole time. Still, pretty fun.

unlabelledView post →Yeah I seriously thought we moved on from this after the discourse around Halloween Kills and IT Chapter Two, but nope, same as it ever was. It sucks!! Especially in a movie that's otherwise good, unlike Halloween Kills or IT Chapter Two
unlabelledView post →This is a good slasher, and not a very good Myers/Halloween movie, at the same time. I think there’s a great movie in something that can get the balance between this and Halloween Kills right. The mob/vigilante violence aspect is fertile ground for good storytelling. It shouldn’t be camp though.
unlabelledView post →A film within a film. Halloween Kills' 1978 flashback sequence might be one of the best horror scene of the past 25-30 years. I'm serious. The aesthetic, the portrayal, the mask, the music, the lighting. The re-creation of the Night He Came Home.
unlabelledView post →Halloween Ends is a pretty good horror movie. Doesn't quite feel like a proper sequel to Halloween Kills though. Like it feels like it should've been part of a different trilogy.
unlabelledView post →Finished Halloween Kills. Now just one more left in the franchise. But man that movie is just a body count simulator between Michael and the whole town. Glad we're getting to the end of it all though.

unlabelledView post →Resident Evil. Fuck off with this shit! Why is this getting so much praise? It's a reskinned script that barely tried to plug in RE related things. unlabelledView post →Definitely Halloween Kills. Despite it being available to watch on Peacock, I was going to see it in the theater, even with the very mixed reception to it. I remember how pissed I was about halfway through, regretting all of it. That car ride home was me complaining about the movie to myself.

unlabelledView post →(in an interview about Halloween Kills Jaime Lee Curtis said the movie was about COVID and "mob mentality" then mentioned BLM. Really coats the movie in a weird light when the "mob" forces a mentally ill man to kill himself and Myers causes a black girl to shoot herself in the head.)

unlabelledView post →I'm really interested to see your thoughts as usual! I actually quite liked these films (yes, even HALLOWEEN ENDS...which I actually liked more than HALLOWEEN KILLS, which suffers a LOT from Middle Film syndrome), but especially the first one, which surprised me.
unlabelledView post →The only one I genuinely dislike is Halloween Kills, but the rule is if a Halloween movie is playing, you watch it.
unlabelledView post →Halloween Kills was a good action/suspence movie. Just not a good "scary movie" The affect on the town, their involvement and "turning us into monsters" theme, the tension, score, direction, they're all solid. But they just forgot to make it scary. (and gore imo doesn't count as scary)
unlabelledView post →had to rinse my brain off after watching the awful Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills by revisiting the original for the first time in ages. god what a good film - a gorgeous example of efficient and economic storytelling
