I'm not exactly sure how the gameplay unfolds, but the graphics looked really cool tho! I'm excited to try it out!

unlabelledView post →My first impressions of Goodnight Universe are: it's a chill game! The game is a narrative-driven first person game with tons of dialogue and light gameplay elements! You remain in a fixed position, but are able to interact with your surroundings by using telekinesis! It's really interesting so far!

The OST was amazing as well, and the game had a really cool art style! I absolutely loved this experience, it was amazing 😭
unlabelledView post →In terms of the vibe of Goodnight Universe, it's cool! The game takes place through the perspective of an infant, which gives the game a unique feel! The game has some downer moments, but it also has some funny moments too! As well, the OST is chill, and the graphics look awesome! It's a nice vibe!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's get the obvious thing out of the way—Goodnight Universe is not nearly as good as Before Your Eyes. But on the bright side, this game doesn't give you depression or make you cry for hours after the end. You'll not be left with a hole in your heart that'll never fill up. This isn't a game that you'll be afraid to replay because you're too scared to be heartbroken again. Instead, Goodnight Universe makes you feel happy and makes you feel like a superhero who wears nothing but diapers, like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is quite literally the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I cannot express enough how much I loved this experience. After completing it in one sitting, I started to shed tears of joy for the first time in my nearly 26 years on this wonderful planet, and I hate crying. Normally, as a cynic, I can't find a love in many things, but truly, this is something I adore. I can't thank you enough for sharing this experience with the world, and I thank God that I was able to find this fantastic…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First impressions: You can tell right away that a lot of passion and care went into this game. It's a very narrative driven game with some choices here and there. The game does a very good job keeping you immersed as well. I'm playing on Bazzite on a handheld and the game runs mostly smooth, I can stay above 30fps and reach above 60, but it mainly depends on the scene. If you're going to play on the Steamdeck you might want to set it to medium or low. Overall, the game has been a good…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're unaware, Goodnight Universe is being made by a bunch of the people that made Before Your Eyes, the really sad game that you controlled with your webcam. I played the demo for this new experience earlier in the week, and I gotta say... they've done it again!

unlabelledView post →Goodnight Universe is a very good game with a wonderful and touching story where you discover life through a baby's eyes. But you're not like any baby, you're not just special, you're more.... If you already played Before Your Eyes game, you will even more like it this one. The designs are very nice and the sountrack is great. I highly recommend it! 💗
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you cried at Before Your Eyes then you'll cry to this, it's as good as that game or in my opinion better. What an absolute masterpiece, I really hope this game blows up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went into Goodnight Universe with a slight expectation, as the previous story game I played was 'Before your eyes' which blew me away.. and let me tell you, this game does NOT disappoint. The storyline, the music, the voice acting and how you feel playing it all makes this one of the best games I've played this year. HUGE recommendation!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Goodnight Universe turns an immediately unusual premise into a surprisingly intimate narrative adventure. Instead of placing the player in control of a conventional hero, it presents the world through Isaac, a six-month-old baby who is beginning to develop mysterious psychic abilities. His powers might sound like the foundation for a lighthearted supernatural comedy, but the story gives them considerably more emotional weight. Isaac's greatest concern is not becoming powerful or saving the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still floating after getting my first video game credit (along with @moemalik.bsky.social) when Goodnight Universe launched a few days ago. Deeply thankful to Nice Dream for bringing us on to spearhead marketing/community. A lot more we’d like to do within gaming. So first of many credits, I hope 🤞🏾
unlabelledView post →I had the honour of playtesting Goodnight Universe over the past year or so. I became a huge fan of Nice Dream after Before Your Eyes, so I reached out to offer my support on their next project. If you’ve played their previous game, the approach and controls here - while expanded upon - will feel familiar. I highly recommend playing with the webcam gesture controls for that extra layer of immersion. A full playthrough takes around four hours, which many will likely complete in a single…

unlabelledView post →what an amazingly told story. i went into this thinking this would be a funny and light-hearted story, yet i was proven so disasterously wrong. after bawling my eyes out within the first few hours i can safely say this is one of (if not the best) story-driven game ive played this year. give yourself some time to get invested in it, no less than an hour. the voice acting from the narrator is phenomenal and i would die for baby isaac. this game is like one of those movies you just wanna watch…

unlabelledView post →Goodnight Universe reviews are coming out and it’s a surreal experience. Mostly positive stuff out there (85 on MC!!) which I love reading but I also appreciate going through the criticism too. Cool seeing publications I admire taking the time to review the game. It’s sick. Love y’all.
unlabelledView post →Wow, what an incredible little story focused narrative game. This totally flabbergasted me and caught me off guard. The love between Isaac and the main character feels so pure, genuine and heartwarming. It subtly delivers the core of what we are as human beings from a completely different perspective, and manages to deliver all of this through strong writing and incredible voice acting. I expected a lot of things, but I did not expect to feel this kind of emotional connection from such a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Expected to play a game about a telekinetic baby, ended playing one of the most emotional stories I have ever played. This is a fantastic story, and really gets to the feelings hard in a good way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A masterpiece, bought it legit on the dot of 12/release, took the simple and fun game mechanic of the blinking from before your eyes and worked around its mechanics into something more interactive. you feel the frustration of all the characters, pieces connecting as you play through.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bittersweet, emphasis on the sweet. I ended up caring so much for all these characters I spent the last hour of the game bawling my eyes out. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disappointing compared to 'Before Your Eyes'. In my opinion this game fails to hit the mark and drags on for far too long. It's not really a 'game' in the sense that there's nothing much to do but sit and watch the story unfold, which is the same as BYE but here it feels a lot more boring, possibly due to the game's length. There is a long section in the middle that is just reading text for ages and I found the game inputs during sections like these to be frankly annoying. As with the last…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There were some nice highs in Goodnight Universe, but ultimately, I thought it was a good game, flirting with greatness rather than a narrative banger.
unlabelledView post →This fall, I played "Before Your Eуes" for the first time, and I was so impressed that I decided I'd definitely play "Godnight Universe"! From the very first minutes, the game somehow tugs at my heartstrings and evokes pleasant emotions. It's made with soul and love, and I'm excited to see what awaits me next!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Goodnight Universe is a beautiful sci-fi tale of alien discovery and friendship a la E.T. (the game even references the movie in a tongue-in-cheek way). It's the kind of momentous storytelling you'd expect from a top notch Pixar film with fantastic voice acting and a simple but distinct style. The use of the webcam as a controller feels far more tenuous than the team's previous game Before Your Eyes (which is also excellent), but that's optional and doesn't detract from the heartwarming and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Goodnight Universe is a special game. This is a team that is hyper-focused on delivering stories that honor the human experience. It is filled with resonating characters, emotional story-telling, and self reflection, delivered in unique and unforgettable gameplay. I hope everyone on this team finds as much joy making their games as much as I enjoy playing them, because I’ll be eagerly waiting for whatever comes next.

unlabelledView post →similar gameplay formula to its predecessor "before your eyes" but very different mood and story setting. Liking it so far, will update once finished :) update: not as touching as its predecessor for me... some moments and "gameplay mechanics" felt forced, but overall a very good story and good game indeed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Goodnight Universe, from @nicedreamgames.com, is a treat: funny, beautifully observed, gently profound. And by frequently tasking you to close your eyes, it is a rare video game that soothes rather than scorches the retinas. www.ft.com/content/a3f4...

Something made me long for love and connection, to feel the emotional attachment, to run as fast as I can to take care of the only person who matters to me in that moment. This is a work of art.

unlabelledView post →Goodnight Universe is a good game, but the mechanics don't work as well as they did in Before your Eyes. The comparison is done to death, but sadly very accurate of the feeling of the game. The blinking mechanic worked wonderfully in BYE, because the blinking symbolized so much more than the simple motion of closing your eyelids for a fraction of a second. In GU it did nothing, there was no good reason of why this game couldn't be played with a MKB, in fact that's how i played it, since i…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has one of the best story I've ever played, and being a psychic baby is kinda cool too. It was a short play through and hopefully I can come back to it and replay it from the start. Cudos to the dev team, amazing work.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Goodnight Universe is by far one of the best games I played in 2025. The soundtrack and the design, was amazing, I loved every second of playing it. Word cannot describe into words the experience the game is, all I can say is it will move you, and make you sob by the end of everything.
