Global Farmer has the framework to become something iconic, but for now it is just barebones with not a whole lot to do. Once you get into the standard farming loop of plan crop > prepare > plant > harvest, the game becomes a money printing simulator which is far from reality. A few more notes. It's weird that you park machines and equipment outside in what looks to be manure or silage pits. Farmers don't…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very early access. Granted not a lot to do at the moment but has some potential to be something unique. There are a some bug to be worked out like fields crop disappear and does not show harvested (Olives). However, this still is in the early stages of being early access and they need time to work out some of these bugs. I'm looking forward to seeing the development of this simulator. Those of you that are expecting the game to be better have to remember it is early access and the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I appear to be banned due to this review as can't like or dislike reviews. I liked the idea of the game. As far as the developer's response I tried clicking the map in many places with no results. I also have the widescreen issues. No surprise the game now has overall negative reviews as developers ban people rather than fixing issues. This looks like it could be a great game someday. I really like the concept and had it wish listed a long time. Now that I have it, I refunded for now. It has…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be honest, in my opinion its pretty lack lustre, the tutorial does not explain much and i even didn't have enough money to complete it, the graphics are terrible and you end up constantly pressing skip to watch people farm a field. Can see this becoming boring rather quick.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly this game has potential, but its not worth the price. majority of the crops dont have matching equipment. there are some filter options that should be added and the game CRASHES every few minutes. save your money this game isnt it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is nothing more than a basic prototype of a game. Cool concept, but it's a long way from even being worthy of early access. There's very few places that have the data required for the game to set fields properly, and there is no way to see if an area has the data or not. The maps are insanely small, a few thousand acres at most. There is no proper gameplay or balancing done. I doubt this game will ever see completion at a playable standard. Charging money for something in this state…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game Global Farmer is a good game for what it is. It runs as smooth as butter on my PC. The Devs are very engaged with the community. It is early access, and there are bugs but I haven't seen anything game breaking. Devs you have a good game start here and I want to say kudos on the game and for your engagement with the community.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am recommending this because farm management games are so rare, that you could buy this one by virtue of being starved for it. Apart from that, however, it still needs a lot. Performs well and no crashes so far, so the technical side seems good. Just a few issues from my side, which I hope the devs see: 1. UX is quite clunky to be honest. Fact that time resets and a follow cam comes up every time a step is performed kills me. Can't play longer than an hour at a time. 2. Balance. One…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So much potential. A lot of frustrating problems. We need bigger equipment. some guidelines on workers or machinery per hectare. As soon as larger fields are acquired everything goes haywire. southern hemisphere climate is way incorrect. would love to see this game reach its potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good idea about game in whole, but lot and lot of bugs in gameplay ( missing start of plantnig for no obvious reason, when i put tractor to irigate, spray or fertilize it just dont start and that button remains green and unusable until i sell field and buy it again, etc). Devs have a lot job to do, i believe that they could make it work corectly and after next update i will try again and i hope to congratulate them for they job.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At this point, this game seems rather simplistic. The satellite map data adds a layer of interest, but not sophistication. The lay of the land seems to matter relatively little, and once you factor in the general climate, it seems like you can plant just about anything that will grow remotely well and turn a profit, even on hard mode, as long as you spam the fields with water and fertilizer. At that point, management becomes a whack-a-mole process of simply staying on top of your field…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly I just love that you can farm in any real world location you want. Not because of the different climates and regions, but because you have the ability to farm in ANY REAL WORLD LOCATION. Think about the implications: - growing onions in Central Park - New York - harvesting pumpkins in the Grand Canyon - seeding asparagus in Hyde Park - London - letting your sheep graze in Versailles - Paris Or even better: Buying some piece of greenery right in front of the place where you live right…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game runs out of steam after 1 hour for this price i expect at least 16 hour gamplay. For this price i could buy 2 pizzas and feel fulfilled for 16 hour which this game unfortunately does not provide.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a good micro management game for farmers. The real map coordinates are a nice feature.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Isn't very intuitive as a game, immediately overwhelmed with information, and ultimately the game play loop doesn't seem all that enjoyable. Not saying its a bad game, just isn't for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sorry, but this game is really not interesting. It could be : the idea of having the possibility of building a farm wherever you want on the planet is interesting. However: it is really tedious. Either you start with a lot of money to buy all the equipment you need, and then it's just clicking on fields, and having them produce. If you start the option with less money, it is impossible to play this game. Options and crops are very very limited. Farm Manager offers much more variety. It's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Constantly crashes so refunded for now
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish steam has an option to place a neutral comment. I recognise that this an early access state game and I don't want to be negative but I can't recommend this game as for today. At the start of the game, I was asked to place my farm building, you need to press R to rotate before placing. I don't know how to explain this. I press R 5 times, the building rotates maybe 2, maybe 3 times. Maybe none. And there is a weird feature. You place your farm. You buy your fields. But once you want to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game crashed for me at least 5 times Between 30 - 60 minutes after I play. I will wait for further updates. A very nice game with a lot of potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is bugged to hell highly recommend not buying it due to keep crashing!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS GAME UNLESS U WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though the game had a rough start, i had a pleasant entry into the game. With the newest features added, it was a great feeling to start at my hometown, draw fields and start farming in an familiar area. The game gets lack luster after a while in regards of content and gameplay, there are still bugs and smaller performance issues, but for an early access title its main promise already worked for me and i am happy to see how the game proceeds. If you want to a more polished experience you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels very clunky, the map of my hometown made a single small field in the city center and the golf coarse that was it. Seems very rushed even for early access games. Maybe in 6-12 months this will be worth it. I have refunded this game for now.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think it could be promising, but perhaps released a little too early. I had problems consistently launching the game in widescreen mode; it would hang before the first splash screen. When I was able to get it to run, I went to my neighborhood and found some streets either missing or jammed together without houses. The wooden docks along the water were made out of asphalt roads. Returned, but may consider the product later if significant improvements occur.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Global Farmer by Thera Bytes GmbH and published by Aerosoft GmbH is a farming simulation that sets itself apart through an ambitious and unusual concept: giving players the ability to establish and manage a farm almost anywhere on the real-world map. Instead of relying on pre-designed regions or fictional landscapes, the game draws from global geographical data to generate playable environments, allowing players to experiment with agriculture across different climates, terrains, and conditions.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its nice and all but it lacks they should of grew it some more before harvesting its full of bugs and the buildings and maps are almost completely bare with little farm land or towns you have to search till you can eventually find alot of farmland i say its promising but i would not recommend till its been cooked some more
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay start but pretty blant. It needs a bit more fine tuning and love. It looks and feels like a very simple game.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Zur Zeit leider unspielbar.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was very pleasently surprised when I was able to place my Farm in the same Place where my House in my Hometown is and I now own the field, where I usually go with my dog! The Economy is interesting and I am looking forward to some additions to the game. Soundtrack is amazing by the way!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun management game, especially with the OSM data, looking forward to seeing it progress in EA!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game runs well on my machine with few bugs. The core game play loop is sound, and the game has a world of potential. I look forward to seeing how far the devs can take this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was fortunate enough to have an advance key for the game and have played every day. (But to be clear I gain no benefit from writing this review). As the game is early access I am certainly understanding of minor cosmetic issues and as the game evolves I will update my comments accordingly. The overwhelming majority of my gameplay has been streamed on Twitch / YouTube so can be viewed as my take on the game with a summary of my key thoughts below. I remain hooked on the game and very keen to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game but it needs more why not 2 tractors on one field
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dont get this stupid game it is unenjoyable
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →first thing, i do love this game as you can make a farm anywhere in the world but i'm disappointed there is still no creative mode. why is free play called free play when you still got and have to worry about money? you really can't be that creative with 'free' play and that's what i am disappointed about
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly I like this game. Although It is both too easy and simply impossible all depending on the luck of loans at the start. (This is only a problem when playing on the 'hard' difficulty). this at least for the regions I picked (Australia). The problem is and this might come as a surprise. Australia is hot. You need to water your plants pretty regularly. Meaning you're a bit locked in at the start with needing a tractor, and watering device. Starting with only a small amount of cash.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was excited to try the game out however after an hour and a few crashes I was a little disappointed, as its still in early access it will get better,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The temperature map for southern sweden is completely wrong, we can get up to 30°c during the summer but the ingame temperature only goes up to about 14°c during july. Otherwise the game is really cool, really awesome that you can place your farm where you live
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Those buying need to keep in mind that this is more of a strategy/management sim, not farming simulator which is clearly shown in the videos but I guess some people don't won't to pay attention. Being able to farm literally anywhere in the world using the actual land and soil compositions is a great feature and having to work out how best to use each field is good fun throughout the seasons. I also like how the "farm" you build is more decoration and where you place buildings or tractors…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Global Farmer is an immersive and unique farming simulation game that takes the concept of farming to a whole new level! What sets this game apart is its use of real-world data from OpenStreetMap, allowing you to pick any location on Earth to start your farm. Whether you're harvesting strawberries in the picturesque French countryside or growing crops under the intense South American sun, the possibilities feel endless.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good Game especially the fact that you can go to your hometown and build a farm there 10 out of 10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It"s a nother game to play !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid farm management and lot's of fun to see the house I am actually living in right next to my farm.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea of the game is great. OSM data is pretty detailed. I had issues with the map generator first, but think it is a great tool. I understand some bad comments here in terms of clunkyness. BUT.... give the devs a chance, they take early access for what it is. The game has a lot of potential for the next time coming. I will give it a second try in a few weeks.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly a simple and straightforward game, only downside is there isnt a sandbox mode. Personally I think sandbox mode would make this game 10x more fun, just because the cash making in this game is a bit more difficult than most games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →at this stage the game doesnt even work right.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →considering this is early access, I can recommend pro: The tech behind it is super cool - loading real world places and making them playable. The game idea of building a farm manager on top is good. It factors in weather, soil composition, different fertilizers into crop growth. I see potential for this game and hope active development makes this game a banger :) cons: It needs more content (different machines, implements, better worker management e.g. for hiring short-term helpers and…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is frustrating in a few ways. The game freezes and closes randomly, for no obvious reason. It has issues when setting farms up for planting and they just fail to start - even with more than ample resources and labour to complete the task. There is a bug where you are able to pause the game, go to contracts, accept contract and payout as often as you like which gives a great boost to funds if you need it. Asset directions have to be set each time you buy them for the farm, if you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good and interesting early access game. If it stopped here, I'd be ambivalent, but these guys did City Bus Manager and I think they'll manage to get this one up to be a great release by 1.0 as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Once you get the hang of it, it's really fun. The feature that you can build practically anywhere is quite nice. The fact that you can build near your house is very different from other farming simulators where everyone plays in the same environment. And the use of geodata means you can challenge yourself with tougher environments if you want to.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game to play! Looking good and sounding relaxing! Being able to build anywhere is a really cool feature. I am planting my crops at my neighbors for example :D. Also, I haven't really run into any major bugs so far and it starts with no problems on my computer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Time to be honest: This game indeed has potential, but it's either low funding or currently low professionalism of developers - or neither, see why on that one further - they don't let it out in it's full way. Variety and balance What is the main friend of open-world games like this, especially real world, with entire earth? Of course, it's variety. This game lacks variety and just forces you to play the way you don't like, and still gives you too many opportunities. Very small amount of…
