Ghost of Tsushima, My favourite open world. Jin Sakai, my goat. 10/10 Sad I'll never be able to play Ghost of Yotei though. Not buying a PS5 for that ♥♥♥♥ you, Sony.

I played this game while in a PTSD treatment program from being overseas a very long time ago. Playing this during that time, without internet and distractions allowed me to deeply connect with Jin Sakai. His rigid way of thinking and the story of sacrifice and pain really resonated with me. I will not post spoilers but I can say that for a Samurai to change so much in a story (even if it is fictional) was very essential to me getting better and understanding myself and others a little…

This game stands shoulder to shoulder with giants like The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2. I mention RDR2 specifically because Ghost of Tsushima's slow pace and attention to detail often reminded me of it. The cinematography here is S-tier and Ghost of Tsushima is so visually stunning that describing it feels pointless, you have to experience it yourself. Exploration is addictive, and the story deeply resonated with me given what’s happening in my country right now. Liberating…

Desperation Brings out the demons in the best of men - Jin Sakai I’ve finally 100%’d this, so I feel like I can give a fair take. I went into Ghost of Tsushima expecting a beautiful samurai game...but what I didn’t expect was how deeply it would stay with me even after closing the game...i just wanna play it more and moree and moreee, You’ve got your stealth outposts, your skill trees, your collectibles (I love foxesss 😭), and your map clearing ofc. Great game, but please, do not pay any money to Sony after they decided to pull the rug out from under PC players. You should play this game, great game, but find it for free. Paying money for this game is actually a bad idea unless Sony re-dedicates to PC releases.

Incredible game. Every aspect about the game is just too good. The story was above average but the execution was top notch. Visuals, the effort they put into scattering the lore throughout the game, all the collectibles were actually fun to discover and read about in the catalogue. The side missions or the tales of tsushima were really diverse and spanned out compared to other games in the same genre I totally recommend it.

Ghost of Tsushima is one of those games that will definitely make you feel cooler than you actually are. Just a moment ago you might have been fumbling and tripping in real life, but now you are Jin Sakai, cutting down Mongols like it’s nothing, as if you've been training with a bamboo sword under a waterfall your whole life. The game is stunning, cinematic, and almost a spiritual experience... unless you take into consideration the fact that you stop during a fight to pet a fox. The…

Ghost of Tsushima is the only game where I can spend 3 hours staring at a tree, then 5 minutes turning a Mongol camp into a bloody art gallery. Honor died on the beach, but my dopamine levels have never been higher.

I didn't really have expectations going into GoT, and for the first few hours it didn't blow me away. When the story properly kicks off, it is very good from a few hours in to the end. They deal with open world quest objectives in a creative way where the direction the wind blows in is the direction you're meant to go in. It's not in your face, it's not a compass with a big yellow arrow on it that says "GO HERE". All direction you're given feels more like guidance than telling you what to do.…

This game is almost perfection everything from the ultra-realistic renderings of Japan to the combat to the acting is incredible. I also love the story and Jin's conflicted nature about the rogue element of his combat style. The main villains' barbarity was portrayed well. In one of my favorite games, Medieval Total War 2, and during the Medieval era the Mongols were the most ruthless enemies you could battle. Historically, they were such an existential threat that warring provinces in Eastern…

we need Ghost of Yotei for PC. This game has been one of my favorite games ever and to see many many people like me not be able to ever play Yotei because we don't own a console or own an older version of the console is sad. People always say that "PC gamers are cheap" but there's no way the revenue Yotei will make if it releases for PC will be less than the cost to port it to PC. This franchise is so big and the company behind it has so many funds that I'm honestly shocked that they prefer to…

A great burger doesn’t need to reinvent the “burger” to be delicious. It just needs high-quality ingredients, cooked and stacked well, with just enough extra sauce to make it satisfying, even if you’ve had something similar before. Ghost of Tsushima is that damn good burger. It makes no attempt at innovating or reinventing its genre. It is the same burger you've already had, just with ingredients much higher in quality than ever before. If you’ve played any open world game, you’ve already…

Some games are fun. Some games are beautiful. And a very few games become unforgettable. Ghost of Tsushima is that game for me. From the moment you step into the world, everything feels like a living painting. The wind guides you instead of a minimap, the fields move with the breeze, and every duel feels like a scene from a samurai movie. Exploring the island never feels like a chore — it feels peaceful, almost meditative. The combat is one of the most satisfying systems I’ve ever played. Every…

This game is honestly really beautiful and has some love put into it, but man I cannot get into it. Combat feels cool for the first couple hours then repeats itself over and over again. Encounters and quests have the same issue where they feel so repetitive. Something something Ubisoft formula. If you're into collecting stuff and clearing camps this game is probably for you. Otherwise, I'm not too sure.

Well, Ghost of Tsushima is an incredibly well made game, particularly from a world building perspective, and one of the best depictions of feudal Japan. Absolute 10 out of 10 in regards to technicality, graphics, art design, and the combat. When you combine this with a very good story with Sony’s classic cinematic design, I think we can easily say that there’s something unique that comes out of it. However, I can’t say the game is perfect. If there was a mixed review, I would definitely give a…

Before I begin, I want to say that Ghost of Tsushima is a good game — but it’s not for everyone. I’m giving it a “Not Recommended” so that players who are hesitating about buying it can have a more nuanced perspective on what the game really is. Pros: The game is absolutely gorgeous and highly immersive. Every minute spent on the island of Tsushima is a feast for the eyes, and photo mode has never felt more relevant than it does here. Graphics — PEAK. Visuals — PEAK. Combat system — PEAK. Storyline — PEAK. Jin Sakai — PEAK. A bit of Norio — also PEAK. The game tells a deeply emotional and heavy story about a lone samurai - Jin Sakai. On his shoulders lies a difficult choice — honor and glory, or survival. And depending on that choice, the fate of the entire island of Tsushima is at stake. The game itself is very brutal and realistic. I’ve played other games like this before, but this one truly made me feel the cruelty,…

Ubisoft formula as a samurai, you might have played this game with a different theme. Eye candy with beautiful animations, combat is a bit bland and not challenging at all even on hard. The world is beautiful but very static, NPCs literally stay in the same place all day. Lots of empty space so travelling takes time. The quests are unfortunately very repetitive. Theres a lot of grinding and collectibles for those who are into that. Its very cozy/casual and I'm enjoying it, but this is not…

If someone asked me to name the top PlayStation exclusives that everyone should play, Ghost of Tsushima would definitely be at the top of the list. This game is the embodiment of Japanese minimalism. There is nothing superfluous in the game, and that is precisely why it is so good. Key advantages: - An incredibly beautiful world. Its style, color palette, and landscapes create the feeling of a living work of art, not a game. - Combat. Moderately challenging, but very beautiful and realistic.…

While it didn't surpass Red Dead Redemption 2 as my favorite narrative-driven game, it delivered one of the most consistently enjoyable gameplay experiences I've had in years. Whoever says that nobody will miss Sony’s games after their decision to stop bringing their exclusives to PC is being a little dishonest. I never expected Ghost of Tsushima to affect me the way it did. I usually prefer fantasy like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, science fiction like Returnal and Death Stranding, or post-apocalyptic stories like The Last of Us and Days Gone. I’m not really a fan of historical settings. Back in 2020, during TGA, when awards kept going to Neil Druckmann, but Tsushima…

This game will appeal to those who enjoy moral and ethical dilemmas.. and samurai Japanese aesthetic. The concept of Ghost of Tsushima is built around the problem of the samurai code, the idea of “this is how you should act” and “this is how you SHOULDN'T.” In essence, the main character is forced to abandon these principles in order to defeat the invaders and save a large number of civilians, using stealth, backstabs, poison, and other methods that directly contradict the traditional notion…

It doesn't feel like they just threw in side quests for the sake of it. The side character are great, and adds a really nice addition to the main character's journey. Jin Sakai is a really great character too, who isn't a perfect guy, but he chooses what he believe is good while his character develops throughout the story.…

This game handles difficulty in a way I wish more games would follow. As the difficulty increases, rather than just increasing the health and damage of enemies, the damage both the player and the enemies can deal are increased instead, meaning that there is no health increase to the enemies at all. The enemy can kill the player in 2 slashes, but the player can do the same to the enemy too, which is how difficulty SHOULD be handled. It's fair, balanced, and it's one of those games where you…
