Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
As the world falls, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers into the hands of a great biker horde led by the warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the wasteland, they encounter the citadel presided over by Immortan Joe. The two tyrants wage war for dominance, and Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home. From TMDB

neutral · AI labelView post →Watching Fury Road, I assumed Furiosa was a cool war rig name she earned by being cool, but in the new movie she's a little girl in a peaceful place and nope her given name is just Furiosa
neutral · AI labelView post →Honestly I’m getting so tired of having stories that were so perfectly balanced and executed over-explained I’m feeling super apprehensive about the Furiosa movie. Like, I’m sure it’ll be fun but I don’t need to know where Furiosa came from, I don’t need to have all these details spelled out
neutral · AI labelView post →That thing where you're just minding your own business and some rando comes up to you with the absolute most dogshit opinion as if it's accepted canon. This kid... the other day was like "Yeah, like FURIOSA, right? What a terrible movie" and I won't tell you what I was thinking.
neutral · AI labelView post →Furiosa thoughts: It’s unfortunate that you inevitably have to compare it to the best film ever made, but it’s an admirable effort. Some great action scenes, as good as any in Fury Road (loved the octoboss fight), and Hemsworth was great. I’m looking forward to rewatching Fury Road recontextualised
neutral · AI labelView post →God’s teeth the first image of Anya Taylor Joy as Furiosa in George Miller’s prequel follow up to Fury Road. Trailer tomorrow.
neutral · AI labelView post →Name a movie that’s wayyyy better than people say. Mine: Furiosa!
positive · AI labelView post →GEORGE MILLER: In response to the popularity of my bald, muscular, woman-protecting feminist warrior character Furiosa, I am making a movie entitled 'FURIOSA' ME: [Wild applause] GEORGE MILLER: In this movie, Furiosa will get a boyfriend ME: 😡😡😡😡😡
neutral · AI labelView post →Fury Road is one of the single most staggering cinematic achievements of all time, but Furiosa hits me on such a gut level. I don't think it's a better film; I also kind of prefer it.

neutral · AI labelView post →This one took me a long time to think about and write. A lot to say about this movie, good and bad. My ★★★★ review of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) on Letterboxd: boxd.it/9MiMtP
positive · AI labelView post →Stacy and I saw Furiosa tonight. Before I even get to the movie itself, we had to laugh at the insanity of moviegoing in 2024. $16 per ticket (regular screen, no AVX, no IMAX) Once the screening time started there were 15 commercials!! Not even movie trailers, just ads!
neutral · AI labelView post →Final Furiosa thought: I don't think I've seen a movie that I liked less because it had chapter titles. Most movies over 105 minutes should consider this.
negative · AI labelView post →If you saw the Furiosa trailer and were like... meh... let me tell you, DO NOT SLEEP ON SEEING THIS MOVIE IN THE THEATER. See it on the best screen you can, as loud as you can! It's so good! On par with Fury Road! I thought the trailer showed too much CGI, but such was not the case. Incredible film.
positive · AI labelView post →New blog post: thoughts on Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, a film that is missing its final act, that has a great gaping hole at its center, and which is nevertheless an exhilarating and entirely satisfying action extravaganza, and a worthy companion to Fury Road.
neutral · AI labelView post →I went to see Furiosa tonight (Late, I know, I know) and I had to tell a guy to put his phone away during the beginning of the movie! AND he was a middle-aged man so he didn't even have the excuse of not knowing movie etiquette! AND he called me uptight!
neutral · AI labelView post →I’m watching Furiosa: A Mad Max saga for perhaps the third time since buying it. It’s an exceptional movie
positive · AI labelView post →FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA is, in my opinion, pretty good. boxd.it/aiXvoj
positive · AI labelView post →Movie Frame Study for Sciurus Vulgari ^^ Ref frame is from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024)
neutral · AI labelView post →New from me: Furiosa is a.) a good movie b.) an attempt to process the dark, weird experience of living in the 2020s c.) an epic in the Beowulf or Gilgamesh mode, d.) all of the above. The answer, of course, is D. This movie captures RIGHT NOW perfectly. episodes.ghost.io/furiosa-revi...
positive · AI labelView post →i'm not much of a movie critic but i left Furiosa about where I thought I would be: good movie, smartly does not try to directly follow or top Fury Road but is instead a different sort of movie, still basically think it was unnecessary (didn't need her Lore) but if George wanted to make it, well, OK
neutral · AI labelView post →The more I think about it, the more I know I'm going to come to prefer Furiosa to Fury Road. I just need to watch it several dozen more times, like I have the previous film.
positive · AI labelView post →I think people are misreading this as "I wanted the prequel movie to explain her name" and not my intended meaning of "it's funny when a little kid is just called Furiosa"
neutral · AI labelView post →Furiosa is such a gd cool movie. its societies fault that it bombed.
positive · AI labelView post →Fury Road is great partly because there’s nothing explicitly romantic between Max and Furiosa, but also this scene where they wordlessly cooperate with each other for the first time is one of the most romantic things ever put to film youtu.be/-K20x3mFhZs?...
neutral · AI labelView post →FURIOSA is still my favorite 2024 movie.
positive · AI labelView post →Furiosa rules. Every Mad Max movie is like an advertisement for Movies.
positive · AI labelView post →Just finished watching Furiosa. I had no expectations and I was very pleasantly surprised. The movie was riveting!
positive · AI labelView post →The stairs scene in JOHN WICK 4 might be the biggest rush I've gotten in a theater in many years from a movie that does not feature a character named Furiosa.
neutral · AI labelView post →I watched FURIOSA last night, loved it - it's more like a Jodorowsky movie than anything else, a surreal, gruesome fairy tale - the war rig chase that takes up the middle of the movie is incredible
unlabelledView post →I literally wrote the book on Mad Max. Here's my review of Furiosa - a beast of a movie, scattered and a little out of control but wildly and enjoyably so

unlabelledView post →Most of my complaints or criticisms of Furiosa are not anything the film does poorly or fails to achieve, it’s just that Fury Road is a singularly excellent piece of action filmmaking.
unlabelledView post →Seeing FURIOSA tonight, so I’m rewatching FURY ROAD and it’s shockingly easy to forget just how good this film is. Pure kinetic action in epic scale.
unlabelledView post →I try not to do too much cross-posting from Letterboxd here, but jfc I just saw Furiosa and I need to yell with other people and/or share my extremely stupid jokes about it
unlabelledView post →Furiosa best movie of the year again
unlabelledView post →Furiosa was so great. I'm so bummed it tanked at the box office, b/c doing so killed the chances of another film and possibly a series set in the Mad Max universe.
unlabelledView post →I cannot believe Furiosa did not receive even a single nomination, I feel that movie was massively misunderstood by viewers
unlabelledView post →Furiosa boldly asks the question: what if a franchise spin off film was good?
unlabelledView post →FURIOSA (George Miller, 2024) It's funny that I did not like this when I saw it in an IMAX with a raucous crowd. I was feeling hormonal & I was pissed off at everything, including the film. I rewatched it six months later and thought it ruled. Some Sergio Leone shit. ZARDOZ IN THE WASTELAND.
unlabelledView post →I get really emotional about Fury Road/Furiosa. What a beautiful scene this is when put all together. What magic movie-making
unlabelledView post →Rest assured, I do have theories about where all my De-Lesbianed Butches of Film rest on the transmasc spectrum. Furiosa and Eowyn are very Woman-Identified. Ripley is just agender. Brienne and Starbuck need to get on testosterone STAT.

unlabelledView post →Tonight’s film: Furiosa (first rewatch). This shit is so sick. Furiosa should have made a hundred billion dollars at the box office. Chris Hemsworth should be cruising to an Oscar. George Miller asked do you have it in you to make it epic, and the world balked.
unlabelledView post →Say what you want about the merits of the Furiosa movie, but having a guy go: “these are my sons, Scrotus and Rectus” is auteur cinema.

unlabelledView post →I think people really slept on the fact that the Furiosa movie has a line where Chris Hemsworth's character says "HISTORY MAN, A WORD BURGER!". I feel more people should be talking about that.
