They've been honest about it, and I look forward to a future for this game. It's decently playable now to the tune of 20-30 hours for a small group, which means it's already worth it's price tag. The developers have stated on their discord that they are fighting hard to get rights back from the publisher, to relaunch their update they have prepared.
