Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
Just when you thought it was safe to sleep, Freddy Krueger returns in this sixth installment of the Nightmare on Elm Street films, as psychologist Maggie Burroughs, tormented by recurring nightmares, meets a patient with the same horrific dreams. Their quest for answers leads to a certain house on Elm Street -- where the nightmares become reality. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →Freddy's Dead wouldn't call it a good movie but I like its ideas and themes given the theme of the child rejecting the violent abusive cycle of the parent. And it's entertaining to watch anyway. It's never boring.

Cheers to Freddy Krueger

unlabelledView post →I still can't believe there's a lost of this movie. As I keep saying, I'm a big Freddy fan. I knew Elm Street 4 had lost deleted scenes and even stuff cut from Freddy's Dead when it came to home video but certainly not this.
unlabelledView post →The last film in the original franchise, Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare is...complicated, for me. If I'm being absolutely, brutally honest? It's the goofiest of them, and Freddy himself is absolutely at his cartoon-iest. But there's still stuff here I like.

unlabelledView post →Dream Child is such a weird dumb movie that I can't help but love it! Freddy seems to be having such fun during Greta with that cheesy grin when he says "Second helpings!" & him skateboarding & turning into Super Freddy with Mark. Wonder what the Freddy's Dead & remake Ghidorah heads look like 🐲🤪

unlabelledView post →Friday the 13th: A New Beginning - 1985 Along the same lines as Freddy's Dead this movie is basically a parody of the series it's a part of. unlabelledView post →As the series goes on and more and more of the town's kids are lost, the town looks increasingly seedy, dangerous, and unappealing. By the sixth movie, Freddy's Dead, it's a ghost town. Only Roseanne and Tom Arnold are there and have lost their minds.
unlabelledView post →85. Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare: This movie is fucking stupid (affectionate). Lowkey Freddy at his arguabley most cruel, sadistic, and also funniest. I think the writers understood he wasn't as scary anymore and decided to just have FUN with him in a nonsense plot. I love dumb shit like this

unlabelledView post →5. Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (Movie, 1991) So Freddy has killed most of the kids in Springville which is such a stupid escalation of these movies. Legit this movie just deciding to be as remedial as possible is almost entertaining but the last 30 minutes are so uninteresting it hurts.
unlabelledView post →This movie cost $8 million, and looks ten times better than Freddy's Dead.
unlabelledView post →Damn, I misread that as Freddy's Dead, the sixth movie, LOL. I've never seen Freddy's Nightmares. That's cool that it's available though. Seemed like it was impossible to find for a long time.
unlabelledView post →FREDDY'S DEAD took place in 1999; the people of Springwood knew the supernatural was real because before that movie even began, Freddy had annihilated ALL their children which drove the adults insane (or maybe their knowledge of the existence of the supernatural drove them insane, who knows).
unlabelledView post →Agreed. The only other film in the series I would rewatch is Freddy vs. Jason. I can't stand 4 to Freddy's Dead.
unlabelledView post →They still screwed up NIGHTMARE 2. The opening bus nightmare is erroneously red-shaded. It should be blue-shaded, as it was on 35mm film in 1985, VHS, laserdisc, DVD, and when the footage was reused in the end credits of FREDDY'S DEAD.
unlabelledView post →The upcoming Nightmare on Elm Street movie series collection on 4K blu-ray is going to be really awesome!! From what I can tell all 7 movies are getting Dolby Atmos and Freddy's Dead is getting its anaglyph 3D sequences restored to be that format of 3D.. Not the best 3D but nostalgic and original!

unlabelledView post →Freddy's Dead is a rare case I can say I hated a horror film D8 The story made no sense, all of Freddy's menace is gone, and the effects, sounds and 'comedy' made me scrambling for the stop button 😠 It felt like they mixed up the script with Army of Darkness without it fitting the franchise at all😅
