Developer Airdorf Games
Faith: The Unholy Trinity is a series of Christian survival horror video games developed by Airdorf Games for Windows. The trinity consists of three chapters; the first two were self-published in October 2017 and February 2019 respectively. The third was published by New Blood Interactive in October 2022 as part of a compilation of the chapters. Inspired by the Satanic panic of the 1980s to 1990s, Faith depicts a… From Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0)

I think that anything I say coming from that place is going to be lacking. Instead, I think it’s more proper to review Faith in a way that shares my thoughts of the game with players who already finished it. Ironically, this sort of one-sided dialogue is the best thing I can offer non-players as my sell of the game (though don’t worry: I’ll avoid spoilers). Faith sells itself, in its…

unlabelledView post →This game is something special. Great story and themes, I think Christian mythology is something still relatively untapped in horror, let alone horror games. The gameplay is pretty interesting but can be a bit clunky at times. The presentation is top notch. Piecing the story together is really rewarding and seeing the story weave within itself between chapters was such a cool thing to experience. This game was so compelling that I went for 100%. The only part that felt like a slog was going for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FAITH is my favorite video game. The design, the lore, the characters, and the soundtrack together create a one-of-a-kind experience. One of the few games I've played where I actually wanted to go back and find all the secrets. Plus, as a Catholic, I'm super invested in helping Fr. Ward exorcise those blasted demons. 9.85/10 because I wish there were 100 more hours of content. Gary Loves You.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a ride this was. FAITH is honestly one of the most unnerving and frightening games I've played in awhile. Don't let the 8-bit style fool you, this game will constantly surprise and horrify you with its visuals and sound design. I got chills more times than I could count. The story is also rich and engaging and left ambiguous enough to keep you searching for every scrap of lore. The entire experience feels like you've stumbled upon an old Atari cartridge with no label. It's the feeling…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ Very unique art style + Great story with lots of options, endings etc + Soundtrack is good - Gameplay is a bit frustrating at times, where it is let down a bit. Overall 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good horror does not need triple A graphics or huge budgets and this game is a testimony to that. I love the creepy uneasy feeling this game gives 100% worth it. Very unique and interesting story. Only downside I can think of there is only one save file for each chapter so multiple playthroughs for some of the endings but that fine. Buy the game you won't regret it :) (ps check the game files after you finished it)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic. Hardcore. And god grant me longer legs to walk faster plz oh plz
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic pixel-animation cut scenes, great atmosphere which elegantly inspires your imagination, and a handful of inventive, and terrifying, scenarios shine in this game. Unfortunately, the majority of the game wasn't fun to play. Retro-inspired to a fault, your character moves so painfully slowly through one screen to the other that getting to the next interesting moment becomes an arduous test of patience. Chapter 1 avoided this issue best due to its brevity, and if they all had the pacing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →one of the most creative, innovative and outright terrifying horror games ive ever played. a huge big recommend on my end, please play it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is about having FAITH and determination. The controls are simple. I play this game entirely with my left hand while my right hand supports my chin for maximum introspection. For the sound, I recommend a good set of headphones for maximum fidelity. I use a very affordable Audio-Technica ATH-M50x personally. Most notably, and while you are hardening your faith through Chapter 1, this provides adequate reproduction for the full range of the 8bit rendition of Ludwig van Beethoven's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This kind of game is so frustrating. I increasingly enjoyed it as a top down walking sim managing to have excellent atmosphere and genuinely uneasy moments. I like exploring and collecting lore. Unfortunately the game also wanted to have difficult boss battles where the boss can spawn right on top of you. I don't understand why indie games like this do this. No challenge is better than bad challenge. All the good will the game built up was drained quickly by a boss battle and it wasn't worth…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FAITH absolutely floored me — I went in skeptical of the Atari-style graphics but came out genuinely unsettled in a way most modern horror games fail to achieve. The rotoscoped cutscenes are jarring and brilliant, and the sound design does things that high-budget games can only dream of. What really got me was how the game portrays evil not as something cheap and jumpy, but as something deeply depraved and staining — every demon encounter felt like losing a little bit of innocence. The story…

unlabelledView post →I am not into horror games, at all, and I despise blasphemy. I ventured into this game pulled by a strange curiosity, and by other people's review. It me very positvely. Very well done. Terrifying despite the ridicolously low resolution, but not in a cheap jump-scare way. I also found it reasonably fair and respectful in its Catholic/Biblical theme.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →in another effort to review every video game that has helped distract me from the crushing weight of my own mortality and the unavoidable horrors of the human condition: i'd give this game a 9.9/10 with the footnote: excellent video game with gorgeous high fidelity graphics
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright, I have basically done everything this game has to offer besides lantern and flashlight mode, got all endings. And all I have to say, what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ treat this game was. The bosses are brutally difficult sometimes but the struggle is part of the experience. The main standouts for me are definitely the rotoscoped animation and the music (banger final boss theme.) I would recommend this game to anyone that likes horror and doesn't mind dying A lot. GARY LOVES YOU
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was far better than I expected. I never thought I'd get scared in a game with pixel graphics. Gameplay was interesting as well. Just an overall great horror game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A brutally simplistic game that manages to gamify fantastical fears. Following a story of two priests, you become enveloped in their mishaps and dealings with demons and monsters. This isn't presented in a cheap way though; the devs pushed the game's presentation to its extreme. While there are a few jump scares, you are also delved deeper into psychological horror. This genuinely one of the scariest games I have played. Dios mio, hijo.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Truly terrifying for something that looks like it'd be played on an Atari. Was scared the entire time as the sound design and graphics are simple but incredible mood setters. Recommend playing during Halloween.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4/5 “…What I am about to do has not been approved by the Vatican.” It’s incredible how much - or almost everything - can be achieved with so little, or almost nothing. I discovered Faith through a nearly four-and-a-half-hour YouTube video by Wendigoon titled “The Game too Scary for 3D - The Hidden Story of FAITH: The Unholy Trinity.” I found the game extremely intriguing and, something I rarely do, I managed to stop watching before being spoiled, saving the experience to enjoy it firsthand.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"- who's a good christian boy? - me, me! I'm a good christian boy" - Father Garcia and John Ward, probably 10/10 peak game, very good horror elements Every time they turned off the music, I was so scared of getting jumpscared that I started praying. Playing without a Bible is not recommended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Call me crazy, but I think horror games should actually be enjoyable to play and not just be carried by their aesthetics. Slow, clunky movement and even clunkier one-hit-kill combat outweigh the novelty of the deliberately crude, Apple II-esque pixel art, or the very cool rotoscoped FMV cutscenes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This could easily be one of my favourite horror games ever made. The retro visuals, Zany rotoscoped animation, and uncanny text-to-speech voices give Faith an atmosphere that’s genuinely hard to match, There’s this constant tension about what’s real and what’s not, especially because of John’s trauma and guilt, you never know when the game is showing reality or hallucinations, This is one of the best stories in any game, like period and an extremely unique visual style that if it was done in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the story and the rotoscope animation is phenomanal. This game can be both for horror enjoyers and christians (I say that being one)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is peak. that's all i have to say. Also i really love the art and visual style the game uses, it's nice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Damn good horror game. unsettling soundscape, disturbing creatures and a well crafted sense of dread throughout also has some great hidden endings in there.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 as an artistic piece, 3/10 as a videogame. woulda made for a better arg. it suffers for the sake of itself for sure. worth getting on sale but not at full price. the movie is gonna be out of this world.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't expecting such a simple-looking game to be this unsettling. FAITH: The Unholy Trinity proves you don't need realistic graphics to make a great horror game. The old-school visuals, creepy sound design, and slow build-up create an atmosphere that's genuinely disturbing, and it sticks with you long after you're done playing. What I liked most is how much it relies on atmosphere instead of cheap jump scares. The story is surprisingly interesting, and there's a lot to piece together if you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All these years later, this is still one of the greatest games in recent memory. Faith is to games as impressionism and expressionism was to film. 5/5*s
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FAITH is a well crafted horror experience. You play a very vulnerable priest who's only protection against demonic forces is their faith and Holy Cross. The game takes place across 3 chapters playing as 2 different priests however the stories are intertwined and result in both Fathers attempting to ward off the summoning of the Antichrist. You are slow, the pixel graphics are nothing special, however the audio design and the cutscenes will be able to get your blood pumping. I don't recall there…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Torn about this one. The rotoscoped animations are nice to watch, a few scares almost got me and by the third chapter I was somewhat invested in the storyline. However, there are also quite a few things in Faith that annoyed the heck out of me: - Gameplay is so awfully slow. Even if you already know what you are supposed to do, just walking over to the right spot feels tedious. This becomes still more pronounced if you're out to get missed notes or the additional endings, particularly because…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't originally going to make a review of this game, but finding out it uses audio from a real exorcism which resulted in both the woman's parents and the two priests involved getting charged with negligent homicide seems like a pretty good reason not to touch this game with a ten-foot pole. Not okay. Wish I'd known before I'd played it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, found it on some yt video and it got me addicted for 2 weeks, waiting for chapter 4
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is pretty fun, sometimes it can be hard and some puzzles feel weird. father garcia will always be my goat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You have heard of FAITH before. You probably know that Gary loves you. You might even have learned enough latin to grasp why "mortis" is so important. Yet you are here, reading reviews for this game, uncertain if you, too, should take the plunge. Let me tell you, if you have made it this far, yes, you probably should. FAITH is as excellent as everyone says. The presentation delightfully gnarly and effective (and creative... boy, ist it creative!), the story haunting, the sound design on point.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this completely blind, and probably got the "worst" endings for each chapter and still had one of the best experiences with a game in a long time. Some parts were genuinely unsettling, the cutscenes are satisfying, and the dialogue has some of the best lines in any game I've played. Currently on my way to 100% it, or at least get every ending. Such a great game. "Don't be afraid, John."
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game and showing Christianity, also don't be fooled by the pixel art it is scary has my skin crawling and I'm terrified, and only halfway through and finished (chapter 2).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game, highly recommend and great story
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A genuinely great game. A true work of art and a true indie. When I read the description that the game is based on "Satanic Panic" I thought it was going to mock religion and Christianity, but no. It actually not about that at all. The demons are real and satanists here commit truly atrocious deeds, they are not painted as some misunderstood rebels against society norms or something. They are shown as truly evil beings, puppeteered by demons to bring death and destruction to the world.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its good. just try and remember that its not trying to be much of a game and more of an interactive horror experience. the slow movement can feel tedious, but the more you get invested the less you notice it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is actually scary and that is great for a horror game. For those who say "less is more" refer to this game as it using Atari-like graphics voice acting from Better Sam and is one of the only great horror games that will forever stand the test of time of horror games worth replaying. When it comes down to it the sound design and lore around in this game makes this game feel haunted by nature. Words will never be enough to describe my love and respect this well of inspiration is for me…
