A fine game with fine combat, story, visuals and music. However The game is 80% environmental puzzles. I find this sort of thing incredibly tedious. An enviro puzzle can make for fine flavour, but not a main course. If you have a high tolerance for tedious puzzle padding, buy this on sale, maybe. Otherwise you can miss it.

Dragged Out and Forgettable Really wasted potential here. Because I really like simple linear action adventure games. But the game has some serious issues. Writing and Characters Writing is really bad. Can't say the voice acting is great either. The old guy was good with the voice acting (I finished the game 2 weeks ago and already forgot the names). And he is the only interesting character in the game. The story is so dull, and the main character is such an annoying one. Tempo and Game…

Maybe a little biased here... But my kid worked on the game so this was the push I needed to finally make a Steam account. So far enjoying the game. Having played most of my games in the late 90s and early 2000's I played the game on story mode, and so far I'm managing to make my way through this. And Kyrkjufell (the mountain in the background) deserves a reccomendation all on it's own

TL;DR: It seems like a dark fantasy ARPG but it's just environmental puzzles for days. I like the story and the world, I love the voice-acting and the characters, but damn getting torn out of the game and into puzzle mode blows. And I usually like puzzles, just not running around an area doing jank counterintuitive stuff like this to get back to the rest. Way too much of this, unfun, like playing two different games wrapped in one and not allowed to play the one game out of the two that I care…

Yet Another AA Gem EDIT: They fixed the combat. Ryn's movement feels more natural, animations are both weightier and faster, and I actually want to parry now. We're not talking best-in-class; it's not suddenly a FromSoft game. But I don't think I would have dropped the difficulty if this had been the version I played, so it's an even heartier recommend from me now. This game does have a lot of problems; movement feels floaty, combat lacks weight and enemy variety (I dropped the…

It was an intense game. I did like the story line. There were so many puzzles. I could have done with a few less puzzles. Some of the mechanics were challenging. I was using the mouse and keyboard. But if I can finish the game at 72 years old, many others can do it. They threw all the fighting toward the last. It was tiring but I did enjoy it.

Echoes of the End is a visually stunning, story-driven action-adventure. Its gameplay is simple but engaging with solid combat, puzzles and unique Shift Moves that add some strategic depth, even if it is not groundbreaking. P.S.: I sometimes got dizzy while playing. Breaks and settings adjustments helped but I would prefer if the game had an FOV slider. P.S.2: Windowed and borderless modes do not work well with dual monitors, which may cause issues. 🎚️ Difficulty 🔲 My grandma could play it…

Well, it's a close call but I can't recommend this. The biggest problem is the insufferable main character who is consistently demeaning to everyone around her and persistently telling her companion to, "just shut up". As a *role* playing game I don't find it enjoyable taking on the role of this individual. There's no evolution of her character so there's no real journey in the game so you ask yourself, what's really the point? Additionally, nearly the entire game is a Jedi Fallen Order rip…

I think Echoes of the End is one of the closest “triple-A games” a double-A game has achieved in a long while. It has breathtaking, utterly mesmerising scenery painted with photorealistic textures (most likely using photogrammetry or megascanning to build and create their gorgeous environments in-game) inspired heavily by the equally beautiful locations of Iceland. The best aspect about this game in my opinion is the animations. These are some of the best and most fluid character animations I…

This is a great AA game, clearly made with love. It plays a lot like "God of War (2018) at home" and I mean that as a compliment. I found that it had a good combo of puzzles and combat, with some light exploration for optional lore entries. It's fairly linear, which I am honestly coming to prefer over open-world checklist-type games as I get older. I never played this before the Enhanced Edition update but performance was solid and the graphics are beautiful (is Iceland really that pretty?).…

I've only played the Enhanced Edition update but at least with this update this felt like a worthwhile experience, though it's obviously a smaller budget title with some significant flaws. I ran into some bugs (characters teleporting weirdly and one spot I couldn't progress without reloading a checkpoint) but despite that I had a good time completing the game. With the update the combat felt fine if a bit grindy. I like that it wasn't following the soulslike trend, there's no stamina, just…

Nearing the end of the game, and I can safely say this is an excellent puzzle-platformer, with great combat reminiscent of the Jedi Fallen Order series, with an excellent and compelling narrative and even better worldbuilding and utterly gorgeous environments, which, if you've been to Iceland, will look very familiar! 9/10, highly recommend.

THIS GAME'S PRESENTATION IS A SCAM. Do not purchase this thinking it's an RPG, action-adventure, or combat-focused title (as the screenshots show!) It is a glorified puzzle game with mediocre combat and miniscule RPG mechanics layered ontop of it. Unfortunately I spent 40 minutes too long before realizing this, goodbye money.

I’m about four hours in, and I’m genuinely surprised. This feels like a AA version of God of War—but with even better platforming and puzzles. The only thing holding it back is the combat. It’s not bad, but it lacks polish and flow. The main issue is that the developers went with a sort of animation-commit system. You can cancel attacks in a small window, but once you're about 15% into the animation, you're locked in. That leads to a lot of frustrating moments because the enemies are…

This is the most underrated game of 2025 (AA level). Loved every minute of it, a true vestige. The devs have implemented some really interesting ideas for platforming and traversal, Level design is awesome and on point. The combat is really good although it borrows heavily from other games. The mountain backdrops are amazing during exploration of linear levels. The story is simple but effective and really good. The characters are all awesome and likable. I don't recommend this game. The game isn't so bad , however It made me Angry. First of all I don't like when game developers made game longer by Puzzles, there are to much puzzles for one game, they were not very difficult for me, but they took time . Big quantity of puzzles doesn't let me believe that the world is real. It looked like and a chaotic place where are just puzzles . Jumping Puzzles were my pain , because not all time it worked correctly and I felt down and were angry about it…

Echoes of the End lables itself as an enhanced edition, but it is still in a rough state. The controlls don´t work consistently, and they´re finicky at the best of times (chosing a direction for your shifting is the worst offender here) My biggest gripe though is that the game is full of little points of no return, ensuring that every little thing is basically missable. Although exploration is not a big thing anyway. There are chests the game lables as secrets, but mostly that means there…

It's overall ok. The launch in August was rough, but looks like developers really took criticism on board and made a big effort to fix the most glaring issues. This is the primary reason I'm recommending it, though I'd wait for a good discount myself. The game looks pretty, but performance was one of the big issues. Right now it doesn't look like playing it without picking an AI upscaling option like FSR or DLSS is even an option. It doesn't look as good as the trailers even with FSR 3.1 set…

A solid game. Worth recommending. Good storyline, satisfying combat, interesting puzzles. Not demanding in terms of hardware. With an RTX 4060 and Ryzen 7500f, it maintains a stable 60 fps at medium-high 1440p settings and looks really good. The only downside (for me) is the main character's behavior. She's conceited, rude, and full of herself. Maybe her character evolves later in the game, but for now, she's very annoying. However, that's just my opinion, and it doesn't spoil the gameplay for…

Even with the Enhanced patch, the developers can't seem to fine tune their jankiness — but the experience is actually a good one, even if I'm not sold on Ryn's personality and the overarching plot, the world building is intriguing enough to keep me playing. Plus, Myrkur Games have very talented artist and developers that it is worth giving this game a shot. It takes clear inspiration from God of War 2018 with maybe a bit too much puzzles, combat is decent enough and pacing is ok.

And it´s remarkable that the puzzles are diversifeid. Every chapter brings something new in terms of a new skill or game mechanic, so that it not gets boring. The game is fun and worthwhile the time you spend.

Good story, pretty environments, fun bosses and surprisingly large amount of variety in the game's levels, particularly in the back half. It's got enough jank and roughness around it's edges (i.e. wonky platforming, some bugs etc.) to hold it back from being outright great but I'll still give this a confident thumbs up.

I wouldn't mind if I was running on a potato, but I'm really not (Ryzen 9 7900x/ RTX4090/ 32GB 6000mhz ram). This is a constant, known, issue and the lack of fixes is simply unacceptable.

This is exactly what I expect from AA games. This is essentially God of War w/ more puzzles & less depth as it's not a AAA game. I'm having a blast with Echoes of the End. Performance has been solid as well. Highly recommended.

Yes if your'e a fan of parkour games and puzzles, because there is a lot of the former. Its a very linear game with a somewhat predictable outcome. There are some interesting mechanics for the puzzle solving. Some of the combat can be a bit clunky but overall i had some enjoyable hours.
