unlabelledView post →The backlash over Yasuke being in Assassin's Creed: Shadows is hilarious because these fools know it's a fictional game but whine about historical accuracy. Yasuke was a samurai in Dynasty Warriors, but all of a sudden he isn't. The game isn't even out yet. All this bitching about woke is dumb.

unlabelledView post →I’ve for years considered making a video about the Berserk video games but if I ever did there would be no way I could talk about the Dynasty Warriors game without talking about how weird they were about Casca’s rape, starting with the fact that it’s on the goddamn box art
unlabelledView post →"With no customization, no persona, and no meaningful ties to the Dynasty Warriors series, he can’t even fairly be called a protagonist. He’s just a tool players use to interact with the game. He is, in essence, a mouse cursor with extra steps."
unlabelledView post →Dynasty Warriors 4 (2003 | Koei | PS2) Becoming a RETVRN person but only for an era where every mid-budget video game had voice actors that either tried way too hard or clearly had other shit to do.
unlabelledView post →Dynasty Warriors: Origin’s “premium” version is asking twenty extra dollars for literally a small bit of in-game currency and early access that equals a Blockbuster rental period. That’s it. And it’s not the only game doing it. I’m stunned this enshittification is not being called out more.
unlabelledView post →I reviewed Dynasty Warriors: Origins! Yes, I've had it for quite some time and now it's time to talk about a very serious game for very serious people (it's so very serious): www.thejimquisition.com/post/dynasty...
unlabelledView post →Very excited to announce that I worked on the localization of Dynasty Warriors: Origins! Dynasty Warriors 3 was the first PS2 game I ever owned (I still have my old, beaten-up copy!), so getting to play in the Three Kingdoms and spend time with characters I love felt like coming home.
unlabelledView post →I have to admire the restraint on the part of House House and Panic to not immediately rush out a sequel to Untitled Goose Game because if I had made a game with that much juice it would have been like Dynasty Warriors on the PS2. We would be up to Untitled Goose Game 4: Empires by now

unlabelledView post →musou game fans, back in the day i loved Dynasty Warriors 5 and Samurai Warriors, i haven't played any of either series since but am in the mood to revisit, which games past those are worth playing?
unlabelledView post →There is a new Dynasty Warriors game where you can only play as Some Guy and nobody else, and what is the point of a Dynasty Warriors game if I can’t roll around a battlefield looking hot as breakfast while mowing down enemies by smacking them with a flute

unlabelledView post →I will be honest. Nothing will ever top Dynasty Warriors 3. Not the game itself, but what it meant: two brothers, together, without a care in the world. 26 years later, we are both older, life happened, and those times exist only in that quiet corner of my heart. This game somehow found that corner and knocked gently. I could never go back to the past, at least this game Dynasty Warriors Origins brought back some memories.

unlabelledView post →I wanted to love this game, but it's repeatedly committing the sin that I feel makes or breaks this kind of experience, though I fully understand some might not agree. Your army is not only useless, but a liability. It didn't quite feel so at first, but I'm in battles where I'm racing from bonus objective to bonus objective, attempting to keep the Morale up, because the game tells you with high morale your army generals will beat the enemy army generals, but more often than not this is a lie.…

unlabelledView post →Alright... what kind of game are we expecting? FighterZ 2? Dynasty Warriors but with DragonBall? Xenoverse 3? A new RPG? 3rd person action game? Another fucking mobile game?
unlabelledView post →Even though I like this game and I am still playing it, I can't recommend it, due to many frustrating design choices : - Bodyguards appearance/weapons is not customizable, only their tactics; - Many outfits are now available but you cannot customize them color wise either; - On ultimate difficulty, allied officers are next to useless and you end up spending your time babysitting them like toddlers because if you dare letting them alone for 1 minute, then end up dying... I know the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dynasty Warriors Origins is likely my GOTY 2025. Absolutely stellar game, no notes.
unlabelledView post →Geoff Keighley did not reply to my request to allow demos on the game awards :/ He's clearly afraid Dynasty Warriors: Origins would do a clean sweep.
unlabelledView post →Great game, love causing damage to entire armies. Also men keep falling in love with you.

unlabelledView post →Um, so DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS is absolutely awesome? Why did nobody tell me about this game?

unlabelledView post →Had quite a backlog of games from last year including "DW Origins" and the timing is tight, especially with Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered Complete Edition release on October 1st. DW3 Remastered was previously region-locked in my country, so hope that issue gets resolved for upcoming Koei titles like Atelier Karia, AOT3, Wo Long 2, and BR Quartet. Koei Tecmo finally came to their senses after the odd experiment that was DW9 this feels like a true Musou game, but with a modern touch. As a fan…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfectly set up to have your own created custom character..... this doesnt exist and that is a failure in an otherwise 9 out of 10 game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big fan of DWs started at 3 and would play almost every other version of the game plus Empires. It feels like every other game is a miss just because of controls we're not the same as the good versions. Origins is passable. I'm comparing my experience to this with 8 Xtreme. I think 8 Xtreme is so far the pinnacle of DW game. The number of Characters, Weapons, Story, and Maps were enormous. So much that you got the OG at every plot point that happened until the very end of the Kingdoms line.…

unlabelledView post →I'd been wondering if koei tecmo was goin to pull the Dynasty Warriors series out of the gutter after the disastrous Dynasty Warriors 9 and the Origins demo has firmly convinced me. Fun as HELL. Combat system has a surprising amount of nuance to it. I'm... hyped?? For a dynasty warriors game???
unlabelledView post →This isn't the your usual DW game; unlike past games you don't play multiple officers, instead you play as a character named Ziluan. Most of the weapons in this game don't have the usual weak and strong attack patterns, but instead have their own unique mechanics. What I like about Origins is how they changed the officers to have a more grounded personality. My favorite out of all them has to be believe it, or not Dong Zhuo. How they portrayed him in this game is way better than the cartoonish…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't sleep on this upcoming game! Dynasty Warriors: Origins shakes up the series in an amazing way, narrowing the focus of the narrative, while keeping the broad aspect of gameplay, and then again narrowing the combat adding in a little Sekiro 👀 🔗👇 youtu.be/9-mPo-jgnCA
unlabelledView post →As someone who’s been riding with the Dynasty Warriors franchise since DW2, I’ve seen it all—the highs, the lows, the spin-offs, and the experiments. I’ve owned nearly every title in the series, and I can confidently say that Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a massive step in the right direction. From the moment I picked up the controller, I felt something different. The immersion is on another level—whether it’s the cinematic presentation, the dynamic battlefield flow, or the way the game pulls…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ORAS vs. Wally theme is so good why did they put a Dynasty Warriors track in that game
unlabelledView post →got boring quickly. The fact that you cant customize your character is such a failure. Plus all the characters are so thirsty for your character yet there are no romance options. It's just a boring grind of a game. At least the characters actually have decent armor and dont look like such anime pretty boys as much now.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The one and only tribute game to Koei's underrated and unhinged Warship Gunner series. Naval combat but at Dynasty Warriors pace with customizable freak battleships.
unlabelledView post →Gameplay-wise, this is certainly one of the best, most refined, most satisfying Musou games out there. But story and character-wise, it's a mixed bag compared to previous Dynasty Warriors entries. We're all here for the gameplay, which is top-notch and I adore it, but the latter is still worth considering and will be the focus of this review. Dynasty Warriors is, of course, a loose adaptation of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel, which itself is a dramatization of real-world history.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is alot of fun, but at a normally $70 price tag its just not worth that much. The balancing on the higher difficulties ruin some of the charm for its major story points. That kinda thing is fine on release, but this long after feels like laziness. The clothing options are basically nonexistent, and constantly switch you back for different cut scenes so they end up not mattering. You have zero style the whole game while everyone else looks awesome womp womp. Alot of characters…

unlabelledView post →Just played some Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered and I got the biggest smile on my face. DW was certainly never the most in depth gaming franchise but goddamn if its not just the most videogame ass game. Great remaster of a classic game
unlabelledView post →Played about 2 hours and this isn't the Dynasty Warriors I remember. My mate who's into soulslikes watched me play for a bit and said it looked great. Which kind of says it all, because that's not why I'm here. I play these games to mow down a hundred guys, not to parry duels. No free mode, no story mode per character either, which was a big part of what kept me coming back. The cutscenes drag on way too long, and Liu Bei looks younger than Guan Yu and Zhang Fei despite being the eldest. Minor…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good buuuuuut being only able to play one character for a Musou game feels like such a rip off especially with a real lack of customization.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played every Dynasty Warriors since DW6 (including Empires and the spin-offs like Samurai Warriors 2 - 4 and Warriors Orochi), and I genuinely believe this is the single best game in the franchise so far. This is the very best the series has ever felt mechanically, and I look forwards to DW10 and any continuation of this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dynasty Warriors is, without a shadow of a doubt, my absolute most beloved series of all time. Dynasty Warriors 5 was the first (real) video game I ever played as a child on a hand-me-down Playstation 2, and it was among a collection of PS2 games my cousin no longer had any need for. I played it and its spin offs to completion so many times that I had to constantly buy new discs because I would scratch them with how often I would play them. Needless to say, Dynasty Warriors is a staple of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Games peak. Lu bu (or labubu) is hard. didnt know i had to play a souls like to progress the story, but honestly that makes it more peak.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →And also, Dynasty Warriors 3 is still my DW game to this day Bc I am old And just to make sure I don’t forget it, they’re dropping this on my bday next year 🤣

unlabelledView post →Warrior Cats but a Dynasty Warriors game. You know, I can actually imagine this happening somehow.
unlabelledView post →Man, the Dynasty Warriors 3 Remake demo is so weird... It's not the game I loved back in 2001, nor it's a good modern musou game. It's a weird in-between that lacks weigh & charm... but kept the shitty English VA became of memes I guess :P If you're a newcomer just get Dynasty Warriors 8 instead.
