Dying Light
Developer Techland
Dying Light is a 2015 survival horror video game developed by Techland and originally published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game's story follows undercover agent Kyle Crane who is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a fictional Middle Eastern city called Harran. It features an enemy-infested, open world city with a dynamic day–night cycle, in which zombies are slow and clumsy during daytime… From Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0)

A stranger suddenly appeared and joined me on missions, and even gave me a machine gun while I was trying to kill zombies with a water pipe and I'm not kidding. Whoever you are, thank you buddy, you gave me an unforgettable gaming experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I reviewed Dying Light: The Beast, and it's a pretty good game. I've been a fairly strong critic of the series despite it fascinating me in its own weird way, and I'm glad I can say they did a solid job on this one, albeit with long-running flaws. unlabelledView post →great game, fun combat and parkour, BUT i'll warn you about something, if you boot the game and your saves are suddenly gone DO, NOT MAKE A NEW ONE! making a new one will delete all your old saves! just quit the game and reboot it,, your saves will be back, i looked it up before i started a new save thankfully.

unlabelledView post →After playing Dying Light: The Beast, I wasn't sure how this one would hold up. Strangely enough, it's actually better in a lot of key aspects. Where "The Beast" impressed me with its picturesque landscapes and visual splendour, the original's got a far more immersive setting—gritter, apocalyptic and much more memorable. Additionally, the scale of the world is significantly larger by my estimation, and I haven't even touched any of the DLC's yet! Characters are of considerable interest here…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wrote a review for Dying Light: The Beast because I think it's a contender for my favorite game of the year it's the stupidest thing I've played in a long time
unlabelledView post →DYING LIGHT: THE BEAST Although I loved the first game, I didn't really get along with Dying Light 2. The smaller scale of this one seems like a positive change- I think the parkour works better with more modest scenarios. Not convinced yet, but I had a good time.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn’t expect to get this into Dying Light, but I did. The parkour is what makes it work. Moving across rooftops feels smooth and natural, and once you get used to it you really don’t want to stay on the ground anymore. The first time I went out at night I thought I was prepared. I wasn’t. That moment when you're being chased and barely make it to a safe spot is still one of the best experiences I’ve had in a zombie game. Combat isn’t perfect but it has weight, and crafting and exploring…

unlabelledView post →Dying Light feels like the kind of game that grabs you by the pulse and doesn’t let go. From the moment you sprint across rooftops, vault over air conditioning units, and drop-kick a zombie into a meat grinder, you know this isn’t just another zombie survival title—The parkour is so satisfying it’s something raw, fast, and alive. The story is... fine. It’s not Oscar-worthy, but it gets the job done. You’re Kyle Crane, a government agent dropped into quarantined Harran to retrieve a file, but…

unlabelledView post →I always find myself coming back to Dying Light because the gameplay is just so satisfying. The parkour makes exploring the city feel fast and natural, and turning rooftops into your main path never really gets old. The melee combat has a lot of weight to it too, especially once you start crafting stronger weapons and unlocking new abilities. What really makes the game stand out is the day-and-night cycle. During the day you can take your time exploring, but once the sun goes down, everything…

unlabelledView post →Without a doubt, Dying Light was one of the best games I have ever played. From the moment you turn the game on, it brings you into this world where everything feels so alive and dangerous, but definitely keeps you on your toes all the time. The main story was amazing, so interesting, so deep, like you will never know the next move that this game will bring you, and the side quests brought you these characters, some of whom you will meet again, and they also added another layer of experience.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pithy review based on completed game but not dlc. As a huge fan of the studio Dying Light is as much a triumph in the Zombie genre as it is in the Parkour genre. Very immersive though by the time you're done with the campaign and start the dlc you might be tired of the entire production like bread gets stale. Plays very nice with Lossless Scaling.

unlabelledView post →If you're looking for an exceptional zombie survival experience, Dying Light and its expansion, The Following, are absolute must-plays. The base game masterfully combines fluid, first-person parkour with brutal, satisfying melee combat in the sprawling city of Harran. The dynamic day-night cycle adds incredible tension, as the infected become terrifyingly aggressive after dark. The Following takes everything that made the original great and expands on it by introducing a massive new…

unlabelledView post →Dying Light offers a great environment, immersive gameplay and solid combat, though the parkour quickly became repetitive for me. I enjoyed the “closed” area quests but the open world can be overwhelming and stressful at times. The story is simple but enjoyable and some characters feel underdeveloped and forgettable. Despite its issues and my own, it’s a fun and engaging zombie adventure! 🎚️ Difficulty 🔲 My grandma could play it 🔲 Easy ☑️ Normal ☑️ Hard 🔲 A challenge to be reckoned 🔲…

You run for your life you lose them find some loot break a few lockpicks trying to open it. You get some cables from it. You do a few story missions and watch Crane have no emotion sometimes. I'm sure it's going to be great, comes highly recommended, etc. etc. but that's no excuse for sticking me into a bunch of adverts for your latest game the first time I launch it. I definitely don't need a video from one of the developers talking about how "we've all been waiting for this". I haven't - I'm still waiting to play the bloody game I just paid for. More importantly, you immediately start talking about specific characters. Opening right up with a…

Turns out I missed SO much stuff the first time around because I just rushed the main story. This playthrough? The exact opposite. I got totally sidetracked by side quests and now my character is ridiculously OP. Poor Jade is literally still waiting for me at the school to raid Rais's guys, while I'm just out here parkouring across the city chasing every single supply…

unlabelledView post →My relationship with this game is.. complicated. With well over 5000 hours, I can confidently say that the main thing that keeps this game interesting to me is its PvP mode. However, with most devs having been removed from that part of the game for a while, (even before the definitive edition came around) PvP is in a very messy shape. Story mode isn't a one-and-done campaign. But playing through it about 2-3 times gives you everything it has. The DLCs (The Following, Bozak Horde and Hellraid)…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They should've stopped with this game, this is PEAK GAMEPLAY. The parkour, the combat, the overall feel and the vibe of Haran, mmmmmm priceless. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What can I write what isn't written already? Well... this game is just pure awesomeness!!! I love love love to parkour through the different environments, the climbing/jumping is so much fun. I mean, how often do you have the chance to run around on the roofs of your city to reach the next destination? Here you can Slaying those damn zombies is also very nice! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The city doesn’t wait for you. It crawls, it decays, it hunts — and it’s not polite about it. Dying Light isn’t about surviving zombies. It’s about surviving yourself. Every bad jump, every “I got this” moment? Permanent. The city remembers. You won’t. Parkour isn’t a mechanic. It’s a lifeline. A sprint across rooftops feels like flying… until gravity reminds you who’s boss. Every gap, every ledge, every crumbling balcony screams: don’t mess up. Night doesn’t just fall. It ambushes. Fast.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Came back to Dying Light for the Retouched Update and some Pilgrim Outpost bounties. Finished it years ago, but the update really makes it shine again. For an old game, it still holds up great — fun to jump back in. I’m more of a Dying Light 2 and The Beast fan, but it’s still great coming back to the first game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh yeah, the new Dying Light game is out in a couple weeks. The one that used to be an expansion for Dying Light 2 but seemingly grew out of control and is now a £50 game. Which is about what I paid for Dying Light 2 Ultimate, which includes the new game. So, not complaining about that.
unlabelledView post →Firstly, I’d like to say that I’m not a huge fan of horror games. Obviously, when zombies are trying to bite you, the adrenaline really kicks in. I also played on the lowest difficulty because I wanted to focus on enjoying the story and exploration. Did the game deliver? Definitely. The game was released back in 2015, so about 11 years ago. I previously played the Dead Island series, which I enjoyed, but this gem takes things to a whole new level. The city is highly detailed, and the parkour…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is still one of the best zombie games you could ever play. The story isn't anything amazing, but there's enough to keep you invested. The gameplay is where Dying Light still holds up pretty well, besides a few janky moments. Mowing down zombies with crafted elemental weapons and parkouring anywhere you want is so damn fun and never gets old. I've played this game 4 times on different platforms and I come back to it every few years. I absolutely recommend it. 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿: I can't…
