Bete Grise: Bete Grise is a game where you play as an employee in the eerie Bete Grise hotel as you go around and doing chores while something sinister lurks in the walls in the hotel. The game itself is rather simplistic, it plays out from a top down perspective and for the most part you go around and to the same three jobs over and over until the game sort of just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Degenerative piece of trash by one of the worst most rotten indie publishers/associations "DreadXP" . out of the 12 creations in this collection only one is decent - it's called "Matter over mind", everything else is complete garbage of various degree of repulsiveness, made by genuinely uncreative, pointless & talentless "people" who never put a single thought into what they are making, they exist only to compete vs each other in who is quirkier, who has more reddit points and pronouns etc.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of silliness, little dread. The 3rd Dread X collection has a nice hub in a “cute Halloween” style and interesting (if somewhat drawn-out) discussions between an MC and … an entity… with a sprinkle of point-n-click-ish gameplay in-between the main games. While the set-up is intriguing, the main course is quite bland. It’s platform-heavy and terrible-controls-heavy at the same time - obviously, an unfortunate combo. And while there are a few good experiences and one kick-ass one, the…

When I go get a pick n' mix I choose 3-5 sweets that I like and load up the pot with exclusively those. Typically I'll get milk chocolate jazzies or fizzy cola bottles, or that sour strawberry tape stuff. The Dread X Collection is a series of games which are pick n' mixes in their own right, albeit selections handpicked for you, the player. This…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't played anything like this. Every game in this collection is fun and unique piece of art. if you are open to experiment with small (and a bit weird) indie games this is right choice! 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really good collection of short games! A lot of them are really outstanding gems, some of them even deserve a game of their own. I wanna pick a favourite, but I enjoyed so many of them! A few of the games maybe I just didn't understand, but I felt like they didn't fit or just weren't my cup of tea. But the majority of them are creative and interesting to play. Dying to see the other Dread X Collections!!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've actually become quite the fan of these Dread X games. There's nothing really like it that exists at the moment and it's a really novel idea, a collection of games made by different developers and combined into an overall hub world. But it's biggest pitfall is the quality of the games. Some can be really interesting, unique, and fresh and then other games will sometimes be just, the most absolutely awful games I've ever had the displeasure of playing. I really want to see this franchise…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This time Dread X comes with some of the best games in the series yet, and also some of the worst. Very strong highs and some abysmal lows this time around. Scores are in the context of the scope of a Dread X game and compared to the other games in the franchise, I didn't care for the "main" story that bookends the minigames, and the puzzles to unlock more games was more anoying than hard since there where like 2 puzzles, the rest was just runing around with fetch quests. >Disparity of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I’ve bought the bundle with all Dread X Collection Games in a sale for 90% off (or some value like that). After playing 1 (bad) and 2 (very good) I had high expectations for 3, excited that it may be even better! Only to discover that Dread X 3 isn’t like the others. This game isn’t really an Indie Game HORROR collection… its a more *Horror themed Cute games. But I don’t think this collection is bad. In fact, seeing as the Not-Horror collection, it’s quite charming. There are some pretty…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will review the games individually below. Soul Waste Irritating gameplay with no payoff. It's a waste of time. Submission Great game with a meta element. One of the most unexpected jumpscares. Sato Wonderland Great atmosphere with an intriguing mystery. Bete Grise Great visuals with creepy vibes. Disparity of the Dead I didn't like this one at the beginning, but it gets better and better near the end. Nice Screams It had some potention, but it falls flat in every aspect. Spookware…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Dread X Collection has always been effectively a bunch of demos and concepts smashed into a game, and honestly, this has been my favorite so far. Havent FULLY completed this one yet but most of the games ive played have been some of the most interesting and enjoyable ive seen in this series. Some of my favorites so far is Soul Waste for having the best soundtrack in the entire Dread X Collection, bubbo 64 for having some really fun platforming, and Chip's Tips for just being a charming…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No amount of cringe dialog between the two protagonists that nobody wanted can explain away the fact that this game isn't scary at all, especially relative to the other entries in this franchise. Don't buy this if you're looking for more of the first two collections. Of the games on offer here, only a few are fun, none are scary, and a couple are so buggy that they're effectively broken.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A different direction from the previous Dread X titles, DX3 mainly revolves around horror with "cute & cozy" vibes rather than traditional fearfulness. This sort of style will not cater to everyone, but I personally enjoyed it a lot and thought the games in this collection were overall pretty great. What I will knock it down for though however, is the meta/hub storyline. The puzzle-solving aspects were fun, it was the interactions between the protag and his "ghost" that just... didn't stick…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You'd think in their third collection, Dread X would start to lose steam and weirdness, but no such luck. Sato Wonderland and Chip's Tips were my standout experiences for vastly different reasons.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another fun Dread X collection, though this one tended much more toward the silly and whimsical than previous entries. Not a bad thing, just a different direction with its own good/bad to it. Going game by game, favorite to least favorite, starting with the hub you wander around in to get candles to play games. Hub Castle - Very different vibe to this one, feels like a less scary Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion. Maybe because it was popular when this was made? Anyway, the puzzles are a bit less…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's better than Call of Duty: Ghosts.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This hub is not great, but it's mostly because of the writing. The dialogue was so cringe. But the actual games were (mostly) good. (In order from most liked to least liked) The Standouts: Chip's Tips Sato Wonderland Submission Disparity of the Dead The Decent: Eden: Garden of Fautless Spookware Bete Grise Matter Over Mind Reactor The bad: Soul Waste Bubbo Nice screams at the Funfair I am so fed up with the "make it look like crap" shader that all these games use. I would rather have bland…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm playing these in release order and so far this one is easily the best imho. While the wrapper is initially less spooky and the banter can be hit or miss by the end it won me over and had great atmosphere and the story was even a bit touching. I still prefer the light puzzle solving from the second collection but this one is great! The first two collections were batting 500 for me but this one bucks the trend with a solid .666 average (nice!). While it may not have the highs as high as one…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →disparity of the dead is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kino
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this because i stumbled upon it from the dev bryce bucher. I haven't played all games yet, but I like how it's done, having you play an entire game to progress in the main game as well, pretty nifty. I got it on a sale, but it's worth it's price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Dread X Collection 3 is honestly kinda awesome! I wouldn't really call this game really THAT scary, but rather it kinda just focusses on being charming and fun with a little spooky theme! Something it achieves very nicely with its hub world and the overall aesthetics of the game itself! The games themselves are all at the very least quality and all feel pretty polished without any like bad low lights like in DXC2. They're kinda fun to just play, blast through and experience and there's some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not every game is worth finishing but if you like indie-horror even with a bit of jank this series of collections is really something special. Fantastic hub area designed by Akuma Kira really ties everything together with a cute story. Big upgrade to DX2 in terms of hub area and connecting story. HIGHLIGHTS: Sato Wonderland, Chip's Tips, Reactor, EDEN LOWLIGHTS: Nice Screams at Funfair, Soul Waste, Disparity of the Dead
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An amazing breath of fresh air compared to the first two. A lot more emphasis on comedy rather than horror, but straight up horror was never *really* the focus. It's more about the atmosphere, be it humorous, surreal or scary. And in this anthology, I really enjoyed it. The hub world is on par with Dread 2 as far as aesthetics and puzzles go, but the inclusion of boring and sometimes cringe-y dialog windows drags it down a bit. All the games feel cohesive and unique, and I must say I've…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far the worst of the Dread Collections. None of the games are fun to go through.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So so. A step down from 2. 50 to 40% of the contents were enjoyable. Although I can't decide which hub level I liked more. The one by LovelyHellplace or Kira's... Agh, Kira's takes the cake. It appeals more to my aesthetic tastes. Not that... I was all toooo keen on the cuteness commonality. Oh well, what matters is that I still gave the third collection a thorough shot, right? I could do a video on the hub level from this collection. Like a cozy and simple recording. We will see!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7/10 Still a good collection but some of the games are very prone to crashing and running very poorly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another fantastic collection! You really can't go wrong with DreadXP if you're looking for a festival of spooky creativity.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just really did not enjoy this one, most of the games I tried I thought were just *really* bad or boring in a way the other collections weren't.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably one of my favourite installments in the Dread X series. It has a lot of fun and creative games, some of which eventually became standalone indie titles. Out of all the Dread X games, I think this is one of the better entries to introduce someone to the series’ premise and controls. Very polished overall.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Third collection is sure among the best ones. I loved most of the games, and considering what we have now, it definitely looks like 2 and 3 have the most to present. Bubbo Adventure on Geralds Island - ok, I did not expect much from it, I did not get much from it, but it was fun Sato Wonderland - Amazing, absolutely mesmerizing storytelling, interesting plot and even better final outcome of the game. Loved it and recommend it for sure Disparity of the Dead - was so good that I made my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i really really really really love disparity of the dead best collection, id say
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I left a very angry review originally because a couple of games in the collection are frustrating, but overall I still found it worth the cost of admission. Personally I hated everything about Soul Waste and it's one of the most frustrating games I've ever played, and I'll just leave it at that. Some of them, like Nice Screams at Funfair are a buggy, nearly unplayable mess that you'll want to rush through as quickly as possible. I did have high hopes for that one because it had some neat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big, BIG improvement off of 2. Spookware: Lovely! Great music! Eden: Biblically accurate Chao garden! Bubbo: Well I'm not getting that best ending but still right up my alley. Chip's Tips: What the dog doin? Submission: One of the weaker ones but some of those assets are used in a vrchat map I like so it gets a pass. Matter over Mind: Needs a few more weeks of devtime to cook. Reactor: This is a walking sim and probably the weakest game in the pack. Nice Screams! Buggy and ends…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cute, mildly spooky, mostly fun. Give it a try!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is the perfect dread x collection as you get an amazing variety of unique spoopy games where some of them could honestly be their own full releases. it has the best set of games in all dread x's with the best hub in the series that acts as its own puzzle game you play in between playing the games with its own campy VO and story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another really solid anthology of somewhat spooky games. My favourite from the collection was Spookware, but every single game was either charming visually or had enjoyable game play! That said, there are a few bugs scattered throughout and I was unable to launch the Bete Gris game for some reason. Still, I highly recommend this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Part 3 of a Dred X collection with a new hub world. This Hub world is Adorably cute. It's a cel-shed castle were you play as a guy who is talking to a his shadow creature he's trying to help get his body back. you collect candles and places them on one 12 tombstones and play the game. Here is the list (Spoilers ahead) Bete Grise Amon Twentysix ([url=https://amon26.itch.io/in-the-kingdom] In the Kingdom) This was a interesting concept playing as a happy Manager that cleans up the hotel…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →sell ice cream to the undead, submit your work on time (outsource it to David Szymanski), let the god be born, unleash the ancients, watch all the horror movies, fade away don't forget to pet the dog
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another excellent Dread X game! Probably my favorite in the series, all of the games have a lot of charm. It's not the spookiest bundle, but they're all cute and have fun ideas. There are some great experiences here, I highly recommend this collection. Disparity Dead and Submission are my top picks, but they're all fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played with a friend of mine, and we really enjoyed it. Some of the games are definitely better than others, but overall I had a really fun time. I played it a while ago, but if I remember correctly, I think the ones we liked the most were Submission, Chip's Tips and Spookware. Anyways, if you're thinking about playing it, I highly recommend, especially if you like weird/spooky games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is more spooky-fun-halloween kind of thing than horror. The setting in the castle is cool, and the games are well done. Short, but with good production values. They're all different and varied, with fun mechanics and ideas. Submission was my favorite without a doubt.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not very horror-ey games, but they're pretty cool nonetheless
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't poop, if I don't talk to myself.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not everything's a hit in here, but despite some frustration it sure is fun to check out these little weird games. My favs were Submission, Spookware and Reactor.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very good. would recommend to a friend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →solid collection of short horror games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the Dread X Collection games, they are so great and I love having mini games to play with friends! My friends and I would each pick a couple games to play for each other by streaming them on Discord. Brought us many laughs and scares, definitely recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a great game if you like short horror games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PLEASE make a full version of Bubbo
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are some good examples. Best of the trilogy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic adventure, the creativity from all the developers was a real treat. Loved it worth it for a good Halloween spookfest!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dread X Collection 3 As someone who loves indie games and horror games, I would never call the Dread X games bad or give them negative reviews. However, this collection felt like a step back from DXC2 in almost every way. While I respect the developer's decision on making this collection's theme spooky yet cute (you can read their full reply to a similar complaint here [url=https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197995596010/recommended/1437500/#developer_response] ), I honestly think this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun collecttion of minigames and game prototypes. Some mediocre ones and some very creative ideas.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this as part of a bundle and much admit had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised at how fun it was. I liked the cute spooky aesthetic but had to turn off the annoying head bobbing. I think having a collection of short games is very interesting. The hub area was a game in itself. The standouts for me were the afterlife detective game Disparity of the Dead (although floaty controls made the platforming parts frustrating). Spookware microgames in the style of Warioware and Frobisher…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i believe theres a bug which makes the overworld portion of this game unbeatable however the games themselves are mostly playable besides one which i couldnt get to run. the games obviously are themed arround being cute and creepy with the length of each game ranging anywhere from 5 minutes to over 30, one of them took me about 2 hours im not gonna discuss each game individually but i did love pretty much all of the ones in this collection and despite not being able to beat the overworld i…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dread X Collection 3 is a creative horror anthology that succeeds by treating experimentation as its main attraction rather than trying to deliver one uniform experience. Developed by DreadXP alongside Torple Dook, Adam Pype & Viktor Kraus, KIRA, corpsepile, Breogan Hackett, Redact Games, Modus Interactive, Basalt Tower, Blood Machine, Bryce Bucher, DIRIGO GAMES, Moya Horror, Wayward Preacher, and Amon26, and published by DreadXP, the collection brings together twelve compact games created…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed this one a lot actually. The 'hub world' exploration and puzzles are a step down from the previous entrys... but I really enjoyed a lot of the actual games in this pack. It's a very mixed batch of genres and quality, but I enjoyed my time with it. If I had to pick, my favorite of the bunch was Disparity of the Dead. Eden, Sato Wonderland, and Submission were also good times.
