positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you like the planning part of Rainbow Six games, but hate actually participating in the FPS part? This is the game for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Losing my mind because every waifu in this terrible Door Kickers ripoff game featured on Graeldon's channel is named after a known and obvious spec ops/counterterrorism unit but there's this one character named "BIRD" and I have no idea what that is and can't google anything convincing
unlabelledView post →In a couple hours I'm gonna try and stream something a bit easier on my nerves. Let's play the full release of a game that asks "what if XCOM was a MILSIM puzzle game?" Door Kickers 2 is a thing and I like it. Let's see if I get myself and my friends killed.

They do not respond properly to constructive criticisms of their games and will ban you if you leave honest feedback or point out issues. The community for the DK games is extremely toxic also, when it has no place to be considering how small it is. Doorkickers was apparently abandoned for the second game(see review for that). It still has a ‘Coming Soon’ section in the campaign that they decided…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Door Kickers is probably a great primer/demo for its sequel. Notes I am not a professional tactician and do not play strategy games. Pros It's a phenomenal idea that does what it needs to Lots of customization and micro-management possible Lots of missions and ability to progress Side-challenges reward persistence and experimentation Cons Units will think that they cant have their weapon drawn when they can. This results in a lot of situations where you think you should be able to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible game, great concept. The gameplay loop is so mind numblingly poor, the tactics are very one dimensional and get dry very fast, most of the time the interactions are random and it has no sense of weight.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Door Kickers is a tense, tactical gem—fast, smart, and rewarding. Planning and executing SWAT raids feels sharp and satisfying. A must-play for fans of real-time strategy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although [Door Kickers 2: Task Force North] has been released, I sprung to buy this on sale. Primarily to play it on my low spec Intel N4500 Laptop & I'm glad I did. Despite it being an old game, the game's design language holds up well & the gameplay loop is addictive if you're a detail orientated individual who loves good ole' SWAT action. The workshop mods are lively in variety, though one can expect it to dwindle overtime as DK2:TFN continues to be updated. Though, I'd like to believe…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You're moving people around and telling them where to look. That's the game. And you're trying to puzzle out how to clear rooms when they have unusual shapes or inconvenient door arrangements. Lots of fun. Starts out boring. Good once you can afford better equipment. There are levels that you literally cannot beat until you buy certain things. You HAVE TO LOSE and come back later and that's dumb. The campaigns are really good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm discovering so many ways that highly trained SWAT officers who look in the most nonsensical directions can get killed by idiot gangsters with guns who camp the doors of their hideouts for no reason and I'm loving it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rainbow Six in a top-down view | KAMGUSTA's MINI REVIEW As title says, this is a strategic/tactical action/simulation of a rescue squad. It plays in real-time, but you manage it by pausing and issuing orders. It's simple, but difficult to master. A nice and robust game, but if you like these types of games you're better buying its sequel: "Door Kickers 2" which enhances it in every way. It's also great its spin-off: "Door Kickers: Action Squad", but it's a different genre of game. Best played…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is ok but you should definitely buy the sequel over this one because its is wayyy better and only like 6 or 7 dolla more.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't have fun playing this. I suppose it's just not my genre, and the controls combined with the game design make for a bad experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun idea, bad execution. Frustrating that they use the same right-click action to select breach options AND change your operator's field of view / strafe. Some levels have enemies that open fake doors on the edge of a map and your operator that's standing next to them will lose the draw and gunfight. Very frustrating game when these feel like easy fixes to make a positive experioence.

unlabelledView post →Hey, if ur looking for a fun (and pretty difficult) tactics game, you should play Door Kickers 2 It just got out of early access and it's probably my favorite """new""" game i've played this year
unlabelledView post →It's a great game, but go buy the second one, it's just this but better
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Too expensive for what it is, on sale for 50% or so I guess is ok
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2. DOOR KICKERS 2: TASK FORCE NORTH I *technically* haven't finished this game, but this isn't a game you can really "finish" per se. The long-awaited sequel to a tactics game involving an American SWAT team (ew) where you command special forces teams instead (also ew).
unlabelledView post →The idea of this game is great and I loved it in the beginning. The problem here is the mechanics of planning, I'm not sure if it's bug, but very often when I needed to change a route a little bit, I had to remove it completely and make again. That's just really annoying. Plus, there is no story behind missions, so no real involvement and you don't give a piece of cake about your team. enemies, hostages, etc.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not very fun... I find myself really not caring about the mission nor the guys performing it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a rarity of a game. Truly a great experience, i wish more games were like it. The moment i'm done with this one, i'm buying the second!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay concept is great, but it's not just for me and feels dated. Here are few points I'd like to mention, 1. The only guides are "How To Play" on the main menu and the "i" icon on Campaign which shows some information if you hover over it. 2. The control feels clunky, especially when interacting with the door. I also was unable to find a way to control and move multiple troops at same time. 3. For better or worse, the difficulty between official missions can be very varied. For example,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Forever Skies has a lot of Potential and I can't wait to see how it grows as a game, Xenobreakers: Classic Tower Defense was fun but hard, and Door Kickers 2 was something I never played before & really interesting! Thank you so much to the Game Devs 💜
unlabelledView post →Concept is good, but mechanisms are let down by jank. Can't do certain missions unless ranked up and unlocked specific classes and items (but they don't tell you that before you try the mission, have fun!) If you accidentally back out of a mission after a bad run they don't reset your squad.... you keep those KIAs. Should have hit restart and then backed out laddy. Now half your squad is dead cause you didn't save scum properly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you’re a planner and perfectionist this game will draw you in. There are multiple subtle layers to feed your “plan well executed” endorphins. 1st layer is the pathing and strategy around pie-ing doorways, timed movements, and checking corners. The 2nd is the gun loadouts, use of flash bangs, and other equipment. The third is going back once you feel you have a good strategy and trying to put it all together in one flawless run. When it all gels it feels great. I bought the War on Doors…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Master of the game design and more than a solid proof that you don't need gazillion dollar budget to make an awesome game. And it is awesome! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At full price, I don't find Door Kickers to be all that outstanding. Yet you can buy it for a couple of bucks when it's on a deep sale and get literally hundreds of missions, community-made maps, and even your own level editor, all packaged into a top-down strategy SWAT game where you can either pre-plan every move your SWAT team makes or painstakingly move every individual member by yourself. And while I don't think there is enough gameplay diversity or depth to keep me invested for more than…

unlabelledView post →This is a pure tactical puzzle. I loved the top-down view and the ability to plan out your team's path before hitting "go." It’s very satisfying when a plan comes together perfectly, but it requires a lot of patience to get through the harder maps without losing a squad member. [The Breakdown] Graphics: Potato-friendly; clean top-down style Gameplay: Addictive; very strategic Story: Non-existent Difficulty: Hard to master Grind: None Worth the price? Yes Rating: 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best tactical games ever made. Its design is simple, but it creates one of the most satisfying and fun experiences a gamer could ask for when your seemingly perfect plan has holes poked into it by the RNG, only for you to adjust the plan accordingly and watch it all unfold flawlessly. Loved it so much I decided to go for all the achievements, and am probably gonna do the same thing with the sequel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A mixed one, the first missions start great and are alot of fun, but the tactical view is barebone. you rely on the team to work and react ontime, and enemys like the VIP Escort mission are cheating, so enemys will spawn from the outside step in and throw grenades thats stupid. aswell as moving sometimes the same will have different outcomes. so incase of it beeing a special game and a great idea i have to admit YES its awesome, but as a tactical simulation its bad and if you want to plan…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun and enjoyable. It’s simple, smooth, and entertaining, with great gameplay and good vibes all around. Addictive and satisfying, I keep coming back for more. Overall, a solid game that’s fun, relaxing, and has just the right amount of challenge.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Addictive; The random mission generator is so much fun to use; There are a lot of replays out there with people executing everything *flawlessly* but that's after they restarted the level many times; This game will throw you curve balls!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You kick doors. Good game. Honestly, it is probably the best game to teach CQC theory. Almost all CQC realistic game does it in FPS but Door Kickers top down approach excels in showing you how CQC method works. The workshop mods and maps are awesome.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Used to have Mac compatibility, but they removed it. Now when I go to download it I get an empty folder with 0 files.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Door Kickers is a top-down, real-time tactics game that puts you in control of a SWAT team tasked with executing high-stakes raids, hostage rescues, and counter-terrorism operations, it blends fast-paced action with deep strategic planning, making it one of the more compelling entries in the tactical shooter genre. What sets Door Kickers apart is how it ditches traditional turn-based tactics in favor of a hybrid system where you pause time to issue orders, then watch the operation unfold in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very Good game, not nearly as good as the second game but still a solid 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting! Makes me wonder what a smaller-scale tactics game (like Door Kickers maybe) set in ancient times might look like.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing and entertaining game. For this game, you have to go to the roster and switch to assault, instead of using the default pointman. The assault type can use MP5 guns which take down bad guys quicker. Using assault the game becomes easier and more fun, as you can take down the bad guys better. And I don't plan at one go, as the position of the enemies will change. I clear the areas step by step, pausing in between, and watching the action.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1: No way of resetting all progress from in game. 2: No way of editing a node without instantly deleting all subsequent nodes. ...great game with an inteface that will bring you to tears. Only buy at 95% discount.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a pretty cool game i used to play without understanding anything ages ago. downloaded it again to %100 it and safe to say it still holds up, had great fun and raging moments. door kickers is unique on its own ways. fairly difficult to learn and get better at, but once you do everything makes sense. is it the best tactical swat strategy game? no. but it doesn't change the fact that this game is going to give you what you expect from it. you can mod it, you can make your own maps, you can play…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Door Kickers at its highest difficulties is an intense tactical puzzler shooter game where when you accomplish a mission with full stars and full medals, it feels amazing. Though when you make a mistake, you get punished right away by either losing a man or by losing the mission.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Door Kickers 1 in 2026 To be honest, I like this game, but I believe it is short and outdated, which makes perfect sense. I like the campaign, and once you finish it, you can still play official missions and go for the achievements. However, after finish everything, you can download maps from the workshop and play them, but here comes the first issue. The level editor The editor is not as good as one would think.
