positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent game, give a Bendy vibe, but not having saves kills it. Having to redo the same thing every time, unless you can finish it in one sitting, gets old.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The title's a total fake. 제목부터가 거짓말이야.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to give this game a good review since it was so inexpensive but I can't recommend it. The graphics, story and performance are pretty good but the gameplay is the issue. Multiple times I had issues with getting the indicator to show that you can interact with something. It was also jank when it did. Like trying to grab something in a drawer but it keeps closing the drawer instead of grabbing the item. Secondly, the chases are just tedious. You die instantly when caught so you will die…

unlabelledView post →I'm tired of hide and seek horror. I thought this was a puzzle horror game, and the atmosphere looks nice. Tutorial level was atmospheric and had atmospheric puzzles. Second level is hide and seek without being able to hide, so its more like tag, the less fun version of hide and seek.

You’ll be searching for keys, decoding clues, and avoiding scripted threats while uncovering bits of story through notes and environmental details. It includes a few branching paths and multiple endings depending on how thoroughly you explore. The focus is more on methodical progression than action, which works well for its short runtime.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first hour of game play was pretty great, really felt like an escape room type. However, I cannot give it a thumbs up as I got hardlocked in the second room where you have to "touch the spear" for a room to open, the spear wasn't where it was supposed to be (and yes, I checked every room, every inch and nook of the house) :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This spooky little game is perfect for when you're in the mood to get creeped out by a sadistic psychopath, especially with a cozy cup of tea and a burning candle while it rains outside. It really kept me on the edge of my seat (though I should admit, I get jumpscared pretty easily just from a Discord notification sometimes). The puzzles offered a nice challenge without being so easy that you’d lose interest. Overall, I had a great time playing it! 🖤
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's above-average for a fairly inexpensive indie horror game. Has some good atmosphere & scares, though the villain's voice over feels a bit too much like a Mark Hamill's Joker impression. I admit this game left a bad taste in my mouth because I got a very bland, downer 'bad' ending and looking it up, seems I did most of the steps for a good ending organically but just missed one major thing and unfortunately, I kind of figured I'd missed something but the game is full of points of no return.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't Be Afraid genuinely unsettled me in ways I didn't expect — playing as David, an 11-year-old navigating a kidnapper's twisted puzzle house, hits differently than your typical horror protagonist, and that helplessness carries the atmosphere further than any jump scare could. Franklin's voice acting is memorably unhinged, and the candle mechanic with mannequins lurking around every corner kept me tense throughout. The puzzles are straightforward but satisfying, and the three different…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do yourselves a favour and skip on this one. The binds aren't even working at some parts of the game, absolute crap mechanics. decent story but unfinished product, 6/10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't Be Afraid is a horror game unlike most others. Instead of playing as a soldier, police officer, or adult capable of fighting back, we play as an 11-year-old kidnapped by a child killer. This perspective makes the experience much more tense, as players can immediately feel the helplessness, fear, and eerie atmosphere from the victim's perspective. The audio design is quite powerful, the graphics are quite detailed, and the level design successfully builds a terrifying atmosphere without…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall it had a nice spooky vibe, played well, and had no real issues. Light puzzles, good horror, some fun jump scares, 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short but entertaining puzzle adventure in the spirit of "Amnesia", exactly how I like it. It managed to give me a few scares even at my age haha
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TW: GRAPE/NECRO Was enjoying the game until I stumbled upon a necro/grape scene. That is something that should be disclosed at the beginning of the game as it can be very triggering and upsetting to viewers/players. NOT to mention there is the killing/murder/torture of children and said necro/grape may be occuring to them and that's pedophilia and disgusting. If I could return this I would but unfortunately I bought this as a bundle and want to keep the other games that were in the bundle.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was kind of enjoying it until I had to quit and continue. There is no save system and no good autosave so it sent me way back in the story. I'm not spending money to waste my time. More wasted money I guess.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the game is mostly a walking simulator, is does have some nail-biting sequences where you are fleeing and avoiding enemies. There are some disturbing images and some real terror here, Recommended for fans of the "Amnesia" series.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very rough around the edges and a lot of room for improvement - particularly when it comes to sound mixing which makes the game unplayable for me. - Poor sound mixing - the sound effects were far too loud in comparison to the background music - not what you want in a game that has lots shrieking, metal-on-metal sounds. Really needed separate audio controls for BGM and SFX. - Easy to brute force an early puzzle after finding just 2 clues. - Majority of the 'scares' are just awkward and a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fantastic and very good for an indie game. The story is interesting ,very horror , atmospheric and spookie. You are going to be panicked a lot and be jump scared to 💀. Although is an indie game you will see the tremendous try of the developers to deliver something great. You are going to have a great 2-3 hours of horror❤️
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The puzzling is very clever and you'll need several tries to unlock the endings Read the story description to see if you are a bit squeamish about the content. It's just enough over the top to put it in the category of teen slasher movies but with a younger cast. There are no real jump scares and the title, "Don't be afraid" explains perfectly how you should play this game. Be brave and save yourself! Good achievements, all doable and I encountered no bugs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not really sure if Don't Be Afraid fully qualifies as an asset flip. The developer acknowledges that they took assets from other people to make the game, but they also didn't actually credit those asset creators properly (just some vague hints that assets from real, actual developers like Lovatto were used). Of course one look at the game and it's pretty obvious it's your usual "stock assets in a blender" scenario. We are left to wonder who actually created which assets here (not the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend because its very scary game!!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don’t Be Afraid is an unsettling descent into psychological horror that places the player in the fragile mind and body of a kidnapped eleven-year-old boy named David. Unlike many horror games that empower the player to fight back, this one strips away all sense of control, forcing you to experience fear as pure vulnerability. You awaken in a dark, unfamiliar room with only flickering lights and muffled sounds for company, quickly realizing that you are trapped within the lair of a deranged…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surprisingly good horror game with puzzles. As a puzzle enthusiast, I enjoyed every minute of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent experience for $0.99 but wouldn't be impressed had I paid more "don't be afraid" Okay. I won't. It doesn't take much convincing with this one. I want to preface by saying that I would rate the scares in this game a 3/10. It was scary in the sense that you are trying to progress, and don't want to get caught. Only to find the thing i'm avoiding to be right around the corner unexpectedly. Slightly startled would be a better way to describe it. In a psychological horror sense, was…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is scary AND fun to play. The puzzles are not too easy and not too hard. Really enjoyed it. Nice story!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →these developers are sickos to think of this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good idea, awful execution. The environment was too full of filler for puzzles to make sense, sometimes you run pointlessly. The voice acting was outright horrendous. Story was basic. The atmosphere was nice though, the only redeeming trait.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →couldn't even finish the game. im very afraid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has no save system - this fact MUST BE specified at the game's store page but it is not - so keep it in mind if you want to buy it. Yes you must complete it in one session. It is just ridiculous as for me.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What an experience, I don't play horror games very often but as it was free to play for this weekend so I thought why not give it a try. Even tho I got little bit of motion sickness while avoiding some monsters but it's fine I completed it somehow.😂 It has a short but quite distrubing yet interesting story with three different endings, I won't give you any spoilers because it would ruin your experience of this game as the game slowly reveals the story & backstory of protagonist & antagonist.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The sequel is releasing in 3 days, playing the demo of it was a pretty positive experience. Even though the developers mentioned you don’t need to play the previous game, I knew it wasn’t long. I went ahead and got the remaining achievements for the standalone prologue (First Toy), I then fully completed 1 and thought what a good game it was. Of course it has its limitations considering the normal price of €10. But the developers are clearly very clever with how they made the game and how they…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so intense and scary! There's chase scenes and gore and blood and just crazy characters. I highly recommend this game for anyone wanting to do spooky streams or just play horror games!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice indie horror game that had way more than just a few cheap jumspcares to make you afraid. The story and the eerie feeling that "Don't Be Afraid" creates are the best parts of it. The only downside of this game is that the performance is somewhat inconsistent, which is weird, because the game doesn't have really good looking graphics. They are just "okay" in my opinion. I recommend it to all of the horror fans out there, if you can get it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the worst horror game I've ever played, who the hell would think a game based around the killing and torture of children would be a good idea! If I'd realised how dark and depraved the game was going to be I'd never have purchased it. Not scary in a horror game way, just scary that people out there think this ♥♥♥♥ up and call if fun!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't Be Afraid is a first-person horror game that takes you on a dark journey as David, who gets kidnapped by a madman named Franklin. The game's story unfolds through notes and cassette tapes, giving you insight into Franklin's disturbing actions. The game offers multiple endings based on the paths you take, adding replay value. I found the atmosphere genuinely creepy, and the presence of mannequins everywhere intensified the fear factor for me. The game is puzzle-focused, and while it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played a while and had to stop and realized there's no way to save the game. It felt too much of a stretch to play all the way from the start all over again so I haven't hopped back in (yet at least). Can't give thumbs down though because it seemed decent.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What an amazing horrifying game, i had a lot of fun playing this. The villain is truly evil and demented, I found myself having to 100% this game and even though trying to get the good ending took awhile i was never bored doing it. Thank you to the creator for this game and i can't wait for more games from this creator.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't be Afraid is a good fun horror game. You play as a young boy who has been kidnapped by a maniac who hasn't got any respect for the living. Without spoilers, let's just say that the background story is pretty dark. While not overly scary, the graphic visuals are good in setting the mood. You need to solve some basic puzzles, hide or run from a few monsters and there's an occasional jump scare. And it's just fun. It's a good mix of horror elements. Bit cheeky. Some humor, some scares. A…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Briefly It's a great horror game, with really nice visuals. + - Storyline - Screamers - Visual - Total 10/10 Full review This game is so good, you'll be hooked from the first few minutes. The bright images and creepy atmosphere make it easy to believe in the horror. The gameplay involves finding items and solving puzzles to help you escape from the evil maniac. The story is told…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not scary at all. Disturbing story and ending though
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was pleasantly surprised with this game, It isn't one that is very well known in the horror community and I can't say I know why. The plot is pretty good, it has some really good horror moments, and I like all the characters as well. Is this game the best horror game you'll ever play? Probably not, but it genuinely is worth at least one playthrough in my opinion. Also having the option for a separate ending was also really cool and wasn't something I expected either. Definitely try it out…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good story, obscure fidelity, a lot of scares. If you like obscure, scary games you will love it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Puzzle adventure games are not for me. I don't enjoy looking around for the one thing I missed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My wife likes to watch me play horror games so we've played quite a few at this point, some good and some bad. This one's about a child who gets kidnapped and tortured and the whole game you're waiting for some kind of turn or comeuppance or payoff for all the stuff this kid goes through. And at least in the ending I got, there never is one. At several points, you're forced into hopeless situations where you have to submit to your captor and let him have his way with you. It'll even let you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Low-budget Resident Evil 7.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This guy on the microphone with the voice and laugh of Joker is driving me crazy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty good horror game. plenty to explore and do. only bad thing i will say, is the fact there is no automatic saving option so if you forget anything, you need to restart the whole game. other than that, i really recommend this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Snagged this for pennies in a sale, and honestly? It's not bad for the price. "Don't Be Afraid" is a rough-around-the-edges horror experience, but it delivers some genuine scares and a creepy atmosphere. The game leans heavily into psychological horror, with disturbing imagery and a focus on the protagonist's inner turmoil. You'll spend your time exploring creepy environments, solving some puzzles, and trying to survive encounters with unsettling enemies. Don't expect AAA polish here. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun little game - runs well on my work laptop. Quite scary - perfect for Halloween !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It may not see like it, upon first glance, on the store, but Don't Be Afraid is, well, worth the $10 that you'll spend on it. The main antagonist is creepy, the puzzles are fun, as well as not too repetitive and the gameplay is simple, yet engaging! I, highly, recommend this game, if you're looking for something new, to add to your horror collection.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible. Gory for the sake of just being gory, the gore didn't add to the atmosphere of the game, rather it took away from it. The plot is more convoluted than the Kardashian family tree, the enemy deaths were repetitive and annoying, the enemy dialogue was also repetitive and annoying, and overall the game was just not enjoyable. Rating: 3/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stop making bad ends. Indie game with horror thriller story, 1st person with normal puzzles. 3 hours. To better end the game requires a guide.
