unlabelledView post →My nana loved horror films, Stephen King works in particular. The last movies I watched with her is when we did a triple feature of Black Phone, Doctor Sleep and Midsommar: Director’s Cut. She loved them all, though I will admit, Midsommar is a funny choice for final film to watch with your grandma

unlabelledView post →I like Doctor Sleep and I think the director’s cut is nice as a supplement but the film worked completely fine with the edits and it drags with the DC content imo. Still… good.

unlabelledView post →Doctor Sleep is one of the few movies that I think earns its long runtime. That movie feels like a meal served in courses by a Michelin star chef and getting to the Overlook is dessert. I just love this fuckin movie.
unlabelledView post →Watched House ("housu" 1977), the original Hocus Pocus, and Doctor Sleep tonight w friends while we carved punkins. I'm not a horror buff but i LOVE a good halloweeny movie fr fr.

unlabelledView post →I rewatched Doctor Sleep last night for the first time since I think 2020. Hadn't realized the guy who does all those gorgeous Netflix horror miniseries also directed this movie. Visually it's utterly stunning. So many times I had to rewind, sit up, and rewatch a shot bc it was so cool looking.
unlabelledView post →I ADORE the film adaptation of Doctor Sleep. Watching the Shining and this back to back over the weekend is such a dizzying, operatic experience.
unlabelledView post →📽️ Now Watching: Doctor Sleep!
unlabelledView post →Internet is out, so I decided to revisit the absolutely phenomenal DOCTOR SLEEP on Blu-ray. What a beautifully dark film and wonderful tribute to the work of Stephen King. 📽️ #filmsky
unlabelledView post →Doctor Sleep (2019) Dir. Mike Flanagan- Picking up decades after The Shining, this film balances horror, nostalgia, and new thrills. McGregor is excellent as a grown Danny, facing trauma and a terrifying cult. The real star? Ferguson as Rose the Hat, a magnetic, terrifying villain. Worthy sequel.🎞️📽️🎬
unlabelledView post →DAMN. FINALLY finished ‘Doctor Sleep’. What a great book!! Yes scary at times but really about family, loss, grief and acceptance. I do prefer the movie ending but still loved it. Highly recommend especially if dig The Shining 🪓 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
unlabelledView post →DOCTOR SLEEP remains one of my favorite films and true comfort watches. Just a deeply felt and beautiful film filled with great performances and moments. @mikeflanaganfilm.com delivered something genuinely special that audiences will discover and adore for generations.

unlabelledView post →Quote skeet with one of your fav films that wasn't a huge hit. 📽️ I will never understand why DOCTOR SLEEP didn't do well. It's one of Mike Flanagan's best films and such a phenomenal tribute to Stephen King's work. #filmsky

unlabelledView post →Well, I've watched The Shining, Doctor Sleep, both versions of Salem's Lot & IT, and this one's remake. Time to add the original to my "Stephen King" movie list lol #NowWatching Pet Sematary (1989)

unlabelledView post →Just finished watching The Shining. I love this film so much. I think I'm gonna watch Doctor Sleep next weekend.
unlabelledView post →I'm forever annoyed people picking a fucking Roland Emmerich movie than a quality Horror film like Doctor Sleep. At the very least, Doctor Sleep is still discussed and beloved whereas Emmerich's fuck ass film, nobody talks about.
unlabelledView post →DC Studios' #Clayface movie has set Speak No Evil's James Watkins to direct. He'll be working from a script penned by Midnight Mass and Doctor Sleep filmmaker Mike Flanagan. READ MORE: www.empireonline.com/movies/news/...
unlabelledView post →this scene in Doctor Sleep is masterful. i love it when film can get very disturbing without getting overly graphic in a way, i think it makes it more affecting - less bloody effects to delight in, harder to distance oneself the horror very upsetting - bravo, Flanagan & Co.
unlabelledView post →Lloyd only made two other films after this: WILL: G. GORDON LILLY (1980, a TV film) and a cameo in DOCTOR SLEEP (2019) which is a sequel to this film. #TCMParty #TheShining ^JW
unlabelledView post →Liking Doctor Sleep 3/5 in but feels like it was meant to be a series not a movie
unlabelledView post →Rewatching Doctor Sleep right after I rewatched The Shining really hammers home what a miracle Mike Flanagan pulled off with this movie. Shine on, Mike Flanagan. May you get to do whatever you want forever.
unlabelledView post →Mostly re-watches this week. Finally got around to seeing Obsession and it didn't disappoint, my favorite horror film of the year . #LetterBoxdFriday #Last4Watched Doctor Sleep The Mist Christine Obsession
unlabelledView post →say what you will about Doctor Sleep (the movie), the idea that "casting Henry Thomas as a hybrid Lloyd the Bartender / phantom Jack Torrance will actually work, regardless of how ridiculous that sounds" occurred to absolutely nobody until Flanagan came onto the scene
unlabelledView post →DOCTOR SLEEP is probably still Flanagan’s best film. Definitely still my favorite. A masterpiece.
unlabelledView post →Post one of your favourite movie characters 🎥 Rose the Hat from Doctor Sleep 🖤🌹
unlabelledView post →21. DOCTOR SLEEP One of the most successful movies ever made. Before you call the professionals: hear me out. It had to work for those who hated the Kubrick AND people who loved it, be a good adaptation of the novel, & had to play for those unfamiliar with book or movie. It's a fucking grand slam.
unlabelledView post →Yes, I *would* call this movie "an absolute triumph." As well as a "masterpiece of horror cinema." Because that's what it is. DOCTOR SLEEP is an absolute triumph and masterpiece of horror cinema. Of film itself, actually -- not to put too fine a point on it, you understand.
unlabelledView post →I genuinely can’t think of a more doomed-sounding project than trying to adapt Doctor Sleep while keeping both the movie fans and Stephen King happy and he pulled it off completely. No one has earned the benefit of the doubt more.
unlabelledView post →I loved DOCTOR SLEEP when I saw it in cinemas back in 2019, and have now had the chance to watch the Directors Cut. I must say, this version of the film feels like a fuller experience, and tips the film into becoming my favourite Mike Flanagan feature.
unlabelledView post →Friend asked me what the best 10 King film adaptations are, I went with 1922 Carrie Creepshow The Dead Zone Doctor Sleep It: Chapter One The Monkey The Shawshank Redemption The Shining Stand By Me What would yours be? (I avoided multiple films by the same director just to keep things interesting.)
unlabelledView post →It isn’t a universal, but if he’s a reader, Stephen King’s love letter to AA (Doctor Sleep, book, not film) can be the transformational nudge towards recovery.
unlabelledView post →I really liked Doctor Sleep! Good movie
unlabelledView post →X-Men '97 score absolutely rips and I was like "who nailed this so perfectly?" The Newton Brothers who've done ALL the Mike Flanagan film/tv projects. Kinda unfair that you can make Doctor Sleep and Bly Manor and also absolutely obliterate Saturday morning cartoon synths.
unlabelledView post →Tonight's movie is Doctor Sleep (2019) 🍿
unlabelledView post →Been a bit, so tonight feels like a really good night to revisit @mikeflanaganfilm.com’s Doctor Sleep! A terrific adaptation of the @stephenking.bsky.social novel, while also being a great sequel to Kubrick’s film. Helluva tightrope it walks, but it works! Big fan. #NowWatching #horrorsky
unlabelledView post →I'm going to go see a movie, today. The last time I did that was for Doctor Sleep.
unlabelledView post →A rewatch of Doctor Sleep. Great film and even if it weren't you cannot go wrong with Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson (my bi is raging) 😏😏😏
unlabelledView post →Tonight’s Halloween 🎃 movie 🍿 was Doctor Sleep. I liked how it did its own thing while still connecting to the brilliance of The Shining.
unlabelledView post →The difference in kid murder/endangerment between Doctor Sleep, VHS, and Weapons may have colored my opinion on child endangerment in film. There’s gotta be consequences. Doctor Sleep and Weapons did not linger on trauma, and showed comeuppance. VHS delighted in harming kids. No good, disappointing.
unlabelledView post →DOCTOR SLEEP (2019, Netflix, #film) Asked to rehabilitate a surely horrible Akiva Goldman script while extending THE SHINING, Mike Flanagan serves all masters at once by giving you Hippie Vampire Magneto versus Alcoholic Charles Xavier. It is *very* entertaining and Rebecca Ferguson’s feet excel.

unlabelledView post →Sometimes I’ll just be going about my business, and I’ll randomly remember how fucking incredible Doctor Sleep is. The book. The movie. All of it. The movie is absolutely top-tier cinema. Frick. I should probably watch it again.
unlabelledView post →69) Doctor Sleep (2019, dir. Mike Flanagan) #Filmsky 📽️ I like this one a lot, Flanagan did a fine job in bringing King's novels and Kubrick’s film together in a way I wouldn't have though possible.
unlabelledView post →Michael Flanagan is goated for Doctor Sleep. I don't wanna be Stephen King autistic on main+write a bunch about it but basically like the movie honors both the beloved The Shining movie as well as the source material it's derived from. Besides being a good book adaptation. He's just the goat.
unlabelledView post →Deconstructing "Doctor Sleep" (2019) and it's giving me so many ideas for my series-WIP. It’s a well-crafted follow-up to an iconic film, and it makes some genuinely interesting artistic choices.
unlabelledView post →Midnight Mass was incredible. And Doctor Sleep was, for me, off the charts creepy and thus wonderful. Rose the Hat was the ultimate movie monster.
