positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one's tough for me. On the one hand, every time I fire up Dino Path Trail I end up playing for at least an hour and have trouble putting the game down. On the other, there are some frustrations during playtime that I hope can be ironed out to make the game even better in the future. I played the demo for DPT during Next Fest and it quickly become one of my most anticipated games of the year. The full release does not disappoint, though having more time to play it and more content to…

Let's get our dino on in this roguelike adventure!! Streaming 4pm CST! Catch you then! www.twitch.tv/pocketparas #dinosaurs #vtuber #dinopathtrail

Going around collecting resources to build your camp, upgrade your character and seeing your build come togheter between RNG and hard work is really satisfying. The combat took a moment to get used to, it's fast but at the same time requires you to get your timings right, but once i got the hang of it it felt extremely natural and rewarding. Honestly surprised, 100% worth the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As much as I enjoy the style and enjoy playing, I just cannot recommend this game. There's quite a bit of bloat crafting and just wandering around maps killing fairly weak mob enemies only broken up by 2 bosses in the entire game. You spend an hour or so your first couple playthroughs farming out high end equipment just to stomp on the bosses and sweep the game pretty easily. The game lacks a lot in therms of mechanical difficulty and pacing. The Boon alters are far too few to have fun just…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this game. The Western dinosaur theme sounds promising, but it’s really the only thing that stands out. Gameplay gets stale fast: combat, exploration, and survival all feel more like chores than fun. Collecting dinosaur eggs for ability upgrades was a neat idea, but good luck doing that before another bounty triggers. The pacing is slow, frustrating, and ultimately disrespectful of your time. Swipe left.

unlabelledView post →Wild West, cowboys and... Dinosaurs?? This game combines things that definitely shouldn't be together. And the effect is awesome. The idea already deserves your attention, but as for the gameplay.. It's very interesting here. Unlike the usual roguelikes, this top-down shooter allows you to immerse yourself in farming and a rich crafting system. And the incredibly cute graphics and environment will not let you want to leave. In general, the game is really interesting, and most importantly -…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely slow and clunky movement, with enemies that auto lock onto your position and follow your dodge paths. It can be fun, but slow dodge mechanics are not for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why can't you coose the path you're going on after completing each level? Is this a bug? Gets boring very soon because too repetitive. No real incentive to play through more often than twice (for me). Would have been a game with more potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It took me 15 minutes to see what the game thinks of me as a player 'I love the Idea and Artstyle but the Gunplay is absolutely horrid and 15 minutes in, all I am doing is gather wood, Stone, Salt, Meat, Metal, have to watch timers for food and water and barely shot Dinos. The ones I did get to shoot were unreasonably tanky considering them being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ raptors. I dont mind an anky being tanky but if your first enemy, tutorial enemy, tanks 3 to 5 PERFECT Shots and you give me a revolver with 6…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really excited about this. It's been on my wishlist for over a year, i was following the paleontologists that were consulted, and i bought it within hours of release. And if you, like me, are a dinosaur lover, you're probably going to be disappointed. The designs and nomenclature of the beasts are good, the attention to contemporary fauna is nice, and the juxtaposition of old west and Mesozoic things is novel. But we need more dino, dudes. Interesting info about the dinosaurs,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend this game purely on the good mechanics, design and cheap price. There are a couple bad things about this game: - There are only 2 bosses (22/11/2025) - Your bounty increases by just waiting around (not bad on it's own but...) - Each run is only so many stages long but good loot is not limited by what stage you're on, the enemies with the materials for the best armor only spawn if your bounty is high enough, so if you want better stuff on the stages you can wait around on the first…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't usually review games, but this is one that I feel like isn't getting much attention and I really enjoyed. I got it on sale for $7.50 (USD) after playing the demo for 90 minutes or so after the theme piqued my interest. I have about 12 hours in the game and have just 'beat' it for the first time. The game is a very simple concept that does a nice job of blending a roguelite and a survival crafting game. The meta progression is permanently unlocking tools and workstations, which feels…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FINALLY. Played the demo a ton, sucked at it the entire time, but i can't stop playing at it. Love the gameplay, LOVE the art style, there are a ton of weapons and builds to try and the soundtrack is the cherry on top
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dungeon Crawler game disguised as a Crafting / Survival Sim. Pretty solid but I'd recommend buying on sale. Took me four runs to complete the game. I got it on sale for 11 bucks. Enjoyed it while it lasted, but its overpriced at $15 for 8 hours of content.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It reminds me of Tex Avery golden collection episode, where a bunch of guys rode dinos and robbed bank. Has very similar vibes to me. Kudos to the devs for this nostalgic itch
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At 50% off, this is a good purchase. Even at full price, its a pretty decent purchase. You aren't going to get 100 hours of gameplay out of it, but 5-10 is entirely possible. If you come into this expecting hades, you'll be disappointed. Its a fun, small indie game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Wild West? Dinosaurs? Female Protag on a Quest of Revenge and Survival to save her sibling? Actually challenging combat? Count me in! Gosh I love indie games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I believe, overall its a good game, just some mechanics and ux design that as a PC gamer makes it feel wonky. It might be better for handheld, steamdeck etc. but since I'm mostly use kb/mouse I can't comment on the controller-esque aspect. The game seems like it'll be played better using a controller, but since it's very predominant on aiming, making the switch from km/mouse doesn't seem justifiable. One of the main thing is when choosing/comparing weapons, it scrolls the icon up to the top…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun, wish there wasn't a time limit, it the bad guys caught up based on levels traveled so you can farm up and figure out what to do with no time restrictions
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun crafter shooting loop. Feels a bit like Stealing Creation or Dungeoneering from Runescape of yore, gathering materials to make a weapon to kill things better to make tools to gather materials... And the shooting mechanic is a good amount of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mum bought me this game instead of Ark Survival. But seriously, few games let you shoot an Ankylosaurus with a revolver, mine stone, cook a dino steak and even pet a Triceratops. It’s a twin-stick action roguelike, it’s quite hardcore as far as I can see, so it’s not for everyone, but it’s right down my alley. So far so good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly? Better than 90% of survival games on steam right now
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was attacked by the dinos and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at the same time and I SURVIVED ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What surprised me most was the base camp system! Being able to grow it between expeditions gave me a sense of progression I often miss in roguelikes. And the expedition planning phase? Chef’s kiss. If you love survival but want structure, you’ll love this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like Hades and Jurassic Park had a love child
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, wish it had an auto save or save option instead of leaving the level.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The resource gathering mini-game ruined this for me. If this one feature wasn't in the game I would have wanted to continue playing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dinos with feathers - instant recommendation from me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We like dinosaurs? Yes. We like Cowboys? Yes. We like Far West? Yes. You don't need to know anything else. Buy and play it now.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cool artstyle and gameplay loop, gives a challenging rouge-like experience mixing survival, crafting and shooting dinos. I really like the way you have to plan in order to achieve your crafts while gathering resources in each biom. Combat has very interesting mechanics and can be different each run or if you find a playstyle that you like you can aim for specific builds. 100% worth playing in my opinion.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is far from complete. Lots of bugs, got stuck all the time & if you use controller sometimes it delay. Raid happen way too often. Next raid is coming while you still trying to pick up stuff from the bodies from previous raid. If you leave the game next time you start it, it's not what you left behind, you have no idea when it will save. I hope they will keep working on this. Otherwise it's not worth it. Can be a 8 out of 10 if they fix all the problems n make it more balance.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dinosaurs eat man. Woman inherits the earth. Doubt someone gets the quote though. Nice survival-ish game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oooohhhh, this is goood vibin stuff. Was waiting for the full launch micro rdr with dinos :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally, a roguelike that feels different. The Wild West + dinosaurs combo is genius. I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with a survival game again, but here I am, discovering new things on each run. Also: anatomically correct dinos? Smart AND badass.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Combat is very slow and boring. I'd prefer more focus on combat than a lackluster mix of combat and survival. Interesting concept but poorly executed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great atmosphere with dinos and beautiful music
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked it enough to finish a couple runs, so I won't leave a negative review, but there are many better roguelites. The gameplay loop feels a little repetitive, only two bosses, and to reach the final ending you have to complete the game 6 times. Try the demo, buy it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bro can this game save normally??? i redone the opener scene 3 times like just save my game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good game for what it is. Collecting resources from the environment feels great with base building and making tools. you mostly have to make use of every resource in the area. The combat is also really great. needing to time dodges from guns or dinosaur attacks feels easy at first which trains you for when your bounty goes up and waves of bandits get more difficult to handle. One thing I like is how dinosaurs can get intermixed in battles, you can really get into a blood bath with other…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Video: https://youtu.be/MiiB3dWwpqM It's adorable, and then of course it gets crazy because there's a dude calling down lightning on your face. Overall I'm enjoying it. It's a fun roguelike with some gathering, crafting, and a nice assortment of weapons. You can find some NPCs and subsequently use them to gain some goodies at the hub before a run, but outside of that I didn't really see much that I'd consider permanent progression. It makes subsequent runs kind of less than thrilling, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like roguelikes, this is the game for you. Loved the art style, the challenges and all the dinosaurs!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had already played the demo and couldn’t wait for the full game to come out. I have to say, the devs did an outstanding job. You can really see the effort that went into it since the demo, so many little features have been added, and those small bugs that are normal in a demo have been fixed. Today, the indie scene has gained another gem. If you’re on the fence, go for it. It’s absolutely worth it, and you’ll have a great time between dinosaur blessings, precise weapons, and builds you can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: This game looks and feels good IMO, but I'm not experienced enough with this genre and the controls to enjoy it. It's most likely not well suited to people new to this genre. The game feels cohesive and I really like the artstyle and the setting. Even the parts that I personally dislike do make sense, so it's probably a me-issue. If you're unfamiliar with this type of game or with the typical controls, this game might not be the best introduction. What I personally dislike is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow it this game slow to start. And dearie me please allow us to skip all the talking! I know, story story story, I don't give a darn about story, let me get into the action. Hopefully it doesn't remain this slow. I'll update once I have time to sit down and play this very slow paced game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Definitely enjoying the format they meshed together between roguelike "shooter/survival/craft" - The weapon mods and dino blessings are so fun to get a strong combination with on a run - The combat ramps up quick if you abuse your time on a map location as you progress Only gotten through the first boss so far and looking forward to pushin my way further down the trail!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game legit smells like dust and sweat and cheap beer, recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First off all, i'm looking for Dinosaur game, i found this game interesting, i buy it, i play it, i refund it Reason? this game doesn't have save feature, i almost die on 1st destination, but on 2nd destinationi can't survive, i thought there is drop item system when i go back to my last destination, but when i got there, everything lost and every progress that i made through mining cutting wood etc also lost. This game "need" Checkpoint seriously, the game is fresh and mechanics are good but…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dino Path Trail, developed by Void Pointer and published in partnership with Human Qube Games, is an ambitious and imaginative blend of survival, roguelike, and action-adventure mechanics that reimagines the frontier of the Wild West with a prehistoric twist. The game’s premise is as unusual as it is intriguing: in a world where dinosaurs never went extinct, players take on the role of a lone survivor traveling through dangerous wildernesses in search of a kidnapped sister, facing both outlaws…
