The general humor was the same. Gru was as entertaining as everytime, but to me the antagonist was the weakest part of DM2. And in DM3, the antagonist is a 90s obsessed guy with bubblegum, Yoyos and shoulder pads that steals things while listening to Neue Deutsche Welle music. To me, he's as hilarious as Vector was in the first movie and he alone…

I also got a kick of Mario and Luigi carrying the Fire Flowers like Wild West pistols. I do worry about the bloat this film may run into, which Illumination has a habit of, especially Despicable Me 3 & 4.
