Lost turns for no reason, bosses performing more actions than they have action points for, dice bugging into the walls and changing rolls, and heroes not placing in the square you have highlighted just to name a few of the really annoying ones. The "improvements" are nowhere to be seen, literally everything that was supposedly fixed or improved is in a worse state.…

unlabelledView post →Nice looking game but totally unbalanced with heavy spawn enemies that never know when to stop. Having to make a mod just to fix an issue the devs don't wanna deal with is pretty stupid. The fact the devs haven't even tried to add an option to disable spawning or add difficulty levels means I can't recommend this. Any other dev would try to keep sales rolling in and make it more appealing, especially for casual players. I will change this rating if they change this (highly doubtful)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game can be fun at first until you realize that enemies will spawn indefinitely. There is no proper way to clear a dungeon since the enemies will just keep on coming. The option to disable enemy respawns has been requested by the community for years but the developers don't much care for their audience. Developers ghosted the community for a long time being totally radio silent. Now they've become active again to milk the game a little more but they still aren't listening to the community…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To start off, I got this game for $8 (because of the 80% off sale) and I STILL think it's barely worth it. Regarding the concept of the game, it's your average DND style party-based RPG. The main issues are bugs and "content", it's permadeath so you would think it's like a roguelike? WRONG! There are next to no improvements to your character throughout the game from start to finish. The only "items" you get that permanently buff your character during your run are infrequent (and very expensive)…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 10 H of playtime, the game feels like EA at the moment, and I will summarize why this is the case: Maps: - There are 5 maps to chose from, out of which 1 is normal difficulty one is impossible and the rest hard, because you can't set the difficulty on any of them. Heroes: - There are 6 heroes to chose from, each with their unique skills in the form of cards. Some of them replenish after each turn other you get by filling a meter. The card you get are randomly given and you can't…

First, let me tell what Demeo does right: * VR mechanics are good, not great bug good. Grabbing an item with trigger, moving, turning and resizing the view with grip, good environment even for low-poly graphics. Doesn't have tactibility or physics tho. * Graphics are OK. Low-poly is not great but works well in VR. *…

unlabelledView post →overall gameplay is enjoyable, but the fact that your characters never gain power or stat increases is greatly disappointing. The only benefit of leveling is cosmetic, which makes little point in leveling up. I was really enjoying the game until I finished an adventure and realized I gained nothing from the accomplishment. It left me very disappointed and wanting my money back.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My friends and I tried to warm up to Demeo over a number of nights, but felt it was very repetitive, random and basic. Did not enjoy the core gameplay loop. No character growth, so if you like progression, you have to be satisfied with just unlocking skins. Spawning enemies (continually) out of sight seems to be the name of the game and something you must account for, but feels odd. Moving your character and rolling dice feels clunky. I know I shouldn't compare, but if you are thinking…

unlabelledView post →The package is very nice. The controls to zoom around and turn the camera work really well in VR. But it's missing the parts of an RPG that make it interesting for me to play. There's no focus on story or solving puzzle or riddles, just opening doors and fighting monsters. A bit like Hero quest, I guess. Not for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What I really dislike is the endless respawn mechanic of the enemys. You never get the feeling of accomplishment. That the enemys run throug the hole dungeon and open doors is another mechanic I am not comfortable with. Its not fun to stay for 10 rounds in the same room just to await the waves of the dungeon monsters. The next thing is the lack of charakter upgrades. You always start from the bottom and all you can earn is a diffrent skin by earning exp. wtf... on the other side its a well…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played with several DnD buddies of mine. We got through, maybe, 3 levels of one of the stories. It's brutal; definitely punishes for wanting to explore the entire map and get all the goodies (ABL: Always Be Looting). Enemies NEVER stop spawning, so it's a near constant battle. The 1, maybe 2, permanent cards that heroes get are not strong enough, and there's no healer for any sustain. The closest mechanism to permanent sustain is the knight who can add 5 armor indefinitely, but that's it. Cards…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After spending a couple of weeks with a group of friends, i can safely say that all the negative reviews about this game is complete BS. The game is pretty balanced, devs are improving the QOL and upcoming D&D collab is something worth waiting for. In essence, Git Gud Skrubs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Way too hard and unforgiving for new players, respawning enemies are a pain in the butt too! It really needs some options to adjust difficulty but as usual the devs are deaf to any issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a mess in terms of balance. It’s not just challenging — it’s punishing to the point of being outright unfair. The main goal might be simple enough — grab the key and escape — but the execution makes it feel like the game is actively working against the player rather than offering a fun or rewarding experience. When less than 5% of players are completing the main adventures, that’s not “difficulty,” that’s poor design. If this is what the developers intended, then the design…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Purchased the game on sale for myself and my friend. The trailer and concept looked really cool. The gameplay is actually pretty neat, the tutorial was good, and the classes and art are all spot on. As a new player it drops you into a dungeon of your choosing. The art and selection were very cool, obviously D&D inspired by the old art modules. Loved that too. And then you move into any room of your choice to begin exploring the dungeon. Right out of the gate, you are faced with, I wish I was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This a really well polished VR boardgame that reminded me of Hero's Quest from when I was a kid. I played this with a friend, which makes for a fun experience. The game just didn't hook me and we moved on to other games. I think part of what I didn't like was how the enemies indefinitely spawn after beating the boss. I'd really like to clear the map, check out what I missed, explore each room, get loot, and then make my way to the exit, rather than panic running to the exit. If there is some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great-looking and technically well-polished turn-based game, mired by two EXTREMELY STUPID game-design choices: no proper saves and hordes of constantly spawning enemies. Imagine feeling good about getting out of a hairy situation with multiple powerful enemies, only to have a lowly 1-HP goblin spawn just around the corner and kill you. Things like that make no tactical sense, because you’re progressing through the dungeon and fighting battles under the assumption that you’ve cleared the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My parents and I found this neat little VR game called Demeo. It's very DnD-like and us all having little roles and ways to strategize and communicate is really fun! And you can play it on regular PS5 too! I recommend it if you like board game-like dungeon crawlers.
unlabelledView post →There is currently a game breaking bug where players will lose entire turns during the final boss battles. This can completely ruin runs and the devs have done absolutely nothing about it.

If you disconnect in multiplayer it just instantly skips that persons turn. If you rejoin in multiplayer then it just starts without the other players heroes in game and possibly skips them. Not enough variety of cards. Quick update because i remembered something more: Nowhere does it state that using "overcharge" or "zap" causes the other skill to be…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun D&D Turn based 3D board game style good on VR and PC without VR. Some salty players want you to play their way. You get lots of you "should have done this" "should have done that" ...but a good strategic player reads the board and makes moves that set you up for the win! 4.5/5

unlabelledView post →So bought it at a great discount and was excited to play it. And the first game? Was a total disaster. Playing solo, it was just non stop ever spawning bad guys in a small area. Eventually my gear (ie healing potions) ran out and i died, never finding the key. After this play thru, i have zero desire to play again. It was not fun, it was not a TTRPG, it was a video game simulation of a board game run by a sadistic rule set and not enjoyable. Considering refunded. The gameplay was ok, but…

This is a huge plus for me I like to have to use my brain and it feels so satisfying to complete the hardest levels. 2. Looks great. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game kind of railroads you down a certain play style, you can really only win if you play it exactly as they want you to. Its a bit disappointing. You have all these really neat cards and abilities and all you can really do is keep your distance and move as quickly as possible to find the key and then exit. Just about anything else and you are severely punished. I do not think this is a bad game. It can be especially fun with friends, and so long as you play by their rules it is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gotta love wasting 3 hours in total on a run because the map has 2 boys holding keys, each has 2 AOE attacks and can attack 4 times in one turn. Its a fun game, but it needs to be balanced. I Don't care if the game is supposed to be hard, like when its this unfair this often its not fun anymore, its turns into a poke and then run game for 2 hours just to get one shotted by a boss that hasn't moved. Until they balance the game more or even buff the players cards/health the game isn't worth the…

Pros: - Runs very smoothly, no hiccups in performance. - The music is really good, voice acting is good. Overall I enjoy the sound design. - The co-op is solid, we've had very little in the way of disconnects and if they do the player can join right back from where they left off. It's great. There's a bunch of classes to play as, each with their own unique decks and playstyles and there's a couple of "campaigns" that I believe are 2 dungeons + 1 boss fight. I also quite like how there are a bunch of skins to unlock, even if they do seem to take forever. The issue is, is that the game is just unfair. You'll get constantly bombarded by a thousand enemies, all of which deal 20% or more of your health per hit + effects like poison (which is way…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game feels unfinished; game design is poor; and it's just not fun. Felt like a slow, time-sucking, slog of an endless wave of constantly regenerating enemies on every tile. Completely misses the fun factor, wonder, and adventure of exploring actual D&D games. And looking down at a board the whole time with an hmd on the head gets real tiring, real fast (tilting the board up at an angle is not a great workaround). I'm not convinced this genre translates well to VR at all.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played this hours and hours on MetaQuest Oculus and love it. If you like an immersive turn based game of D&D, well, this is the one. There are different levels with different difficulties, and yes, sometimes the respawning can be annoying and rolling 4 'skulls' on the die in a row really sucks - it seems the game knows when I "REALLY" need a good roll. You can play up to four characters [so you won't get powned....], of a variety of characters [Wizard, Archer, Guardian, Rogue, Sorceress &…

It was truly a dream game for me, so I decided to get it on Steam so I could go between VR and Steam Deck... It's like a completely different game! negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not really a fan of infinitely spawning enemies, or enemies that can repeatedly do like 3-7 damage per turn, some with berserking, swarmer enemies that also do much of the same, or enemies that can teleport enemies right on top of you. This game had a good concept--but it is overall a very BAD execution and implementation. Give this one a pass unless you enjoy losing 90% of the time.
